Classic and hard to wear out -
I am embarrassed to say that I have worn this exact style of shoe since 1975 when I first began to play tennis. While there are many other, probably better designed for the game shoes on the market, you cannot beat the cool factor of wearing these. I do play tennis in them but I also wear them out riding my bike and puttering around. They are classic, clean and fabulous. There is a reason they still make them and that they have sold so well for the past 30+ years.

No better words to describe but AWESOME! A pure classic with recent style. I bought the all whites; they look great with jeans or shorts. GREAT style for the summertime. I ordered a 1/2 size up and they fit perfectly. Zappos is the BEST in the business. I always buy my shoes/sandals from them and I have never been anything less than amazed with their service. BUY A SIZE BIGGER THAN YOUR NORMAL SIZE!!! They destroyed my pinky toes! I have narrow feet to begin with, so I didn't think the small toe box would be an issue. WRONG. I've had these shoes for about 4 weeks and worn them a few times. I was prepared to "wear them in" and they actually were fine; comfy and not too stiff. I was quite pleased! It wasn't until the 4th or 5th time wearing them that the pain had started. They started rubbing on my pinky toes. Every step I took was painful and no matter how much mole skin and lamb’s wool I put to protect my pinky toe, it killed them. I'm pretty sure if you buy a size up from your norm you would be safe...They look fantastic which is the sad part.

Still a great shoe. Buy 1/2 size larger than other adidas shoes, the toe box is kind of small. They take a good month to break in because the leather is pretty substantial. But once they break down they are like bedroom slippers and are great for boats, tennis, casual wear, etc. try the rod lavers if you don’t want the break in but they won’t last as long. Classics. Almost bought 3 pair.

I purchased this shoe in September for my son by November I had to return them because the sole and upper shoe tore at the seam. Received new shoe and by April I returned the shoe again for the same problem. The quality of the shoe is not worth it.

A PAINFULLY good looking shoe.
I have loved ALL of the Adidas I've owned in the past (especially the Sambas), but this latest pair of Stan Smiths has made me bitter at the company for releasing such a HORRIBLE pair of shoes. I bought them just before a trip to Australia thinking I could rely on Adidas for a comfortable utilitarian shoe - how wrong I was. I probably walked about 4-10 miles per day for three weeks and every step I took was worse than the one before it. At the end of the third week, I started developing knee pain (which I've never had before - and I always walk/bike a lot) that was relieved by switching back to my old hammered-out pair of shoes (Vision Street Wears). I won't ever put them back on my feet. They're so bad that I felt guilty donating them (after owning them for only 4 weeks), I should have just buried them in the backyard next to the goldfish remains. They'd both be about as equally uncomfortable to have strapped to my feet, but admittedly, for different reasons. Bad job Adidas. I'm really disappointed.

Worth the wait -
A little stiff out of the box, but be patient and they'll break in soon! All adidas soles are super durable (haven't danced through a pair yet!). These look super sharp and are comfy once you wear them a few times.

Great for tennis!
These sneakers are hard to find in stores. Zappos is quick and with no shipping fees it's a no brainer. I buy a couple pair of these a year for tennis.

They felt true to size and width but after standing on my feet for a couple hours at work they began to make my feet ache. Still very good shoes.

Bang for the buck -
Not only are the shoes great, but the people at Zappos were right on as usual. I ordered my shoes on Sunday afternoon and I was wearing them by Tuesday afternoon. I am not going to buy my shoes anywhere else from now on. These shoes are classics and you can't go wrong with the fit or the look.

Looks good... feels funny -
I love the colors and the look of the sneakers, but the left shoe seems to be a bit uncomfortable. Maybe becz they’re still so new?? Been wearing them around the house to see if this will change... fingers crossed.

I bought these for my husband (age 33) who has several pairs of Adidas shoes. He said these were the most uncomfortable he's ever owned. They are stiff and take a LOT of breaking in. He actually kind of gave up on them and so they sit in the closet unworn.

Great shoes at a great price -
Love these things! Cheaper on Zappos than at the a store in Downtown San Diego. My only complaint is that I should have probably gone with a 12, but that may have been too small (usually I am a 12.5, ordered 13) so I need to wear a slightly thicker sock or tighten the laces a bit so my heel doesn't slip out. Other than that, extremely comfortable shoes and they look great!

Love this shoe. Only negative aspect is that it's very stiff and takes a long time to break in. As a previous owner, I expected this. Even though it's stiff, I have no hesitation to immediately wear it for sports activities. It just takes a while for it to get to the point where it's soft and pliable to the point where it fits like a glove. It's well worth the wait.

I've owned these shoes for a year and they fit perfectly! I've wanted them for years but could only find them in men's sizes until Zappos. I would recommend this shoe to anyone and I had no trouble breaking them in...this may be since my foot is smaller. I hope you never stop selling them!

Painful Classics -
These shoes look great on and I have had lots of compliments. The downside, they have a narrow toe box that carves into your instep.

These Shoes Were Made For Walking...
I have to order Big size shoes for my son, and that is not always easy finding the styles that he likes in a size 14. Adidas is an excellent brand and my son was very happy with the fit, style and quality of the shoe.I was happy I found them at Zappos my No#1 shoe store!

Great looking shoe...if you like plain and black, which I do. I'm still breaking them in, and they don't provide as much comfort as I'd like, but that's what I expected for the price. Great basic street shoe.

I love the classic Stan Smith shoes, but I think I need to break them in a bit more. My foot gets a little sore where they rub on the top after wearing them for many hours, which is still very good to be able to wear them for hours, they just aren't comfortable all day long. I still love them.
