Great shoe, can be worn with or without braces -
My daughter uses AFO's and this boot is wide enough to be worn with AFO's. I gave only 3 stars for the color mainly, but overall it was a great purchase. My daughter's therapist said these could also be worn without her AFO's because they support ankle.
Zappos is wonderful! I had to return another boot before this that was too narrow and Zappos makes it so easy and free return shipping!

Docs and kids -
I rate this product 5 stars the boot it self is so cute I have a 6 year old and a 10 year old and both of them wear them all of the time they go with their school uniform and jeans they are comfortable and durable if you have kids I recommend this shoe especially because of ware and tare they really hold up if you know what I mean so 5 stars all the way down.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: all of the doc martin shoe line i have wore them for years and they have lasted me years

Great shoes, ties a little loose -
These are great shoes, my son loves them, they look great. The laces are a little long, come undone easily and shred after a few wears but they were easily replaceable.

Very cute shoe! My 6-year old loves them. Ordered the wrong size the first time, and he didn't want me to send them back. He says they are very comfortable, and they go with everything, even shorts!!

Stylish, a little stiff at first but what good quality boot isn't. sizing can be tricky. Worth the effort. Doc's are the best!

Dr. Martens Boy's Boots!!
I recently purchased 2 pairs of Dr. Martens Boots for my nephews for Christmas. They had had them when they were younger (usually 1 pair for the oldest one who then passed them down to the younger one). This year they "asked" for new Dr. Martens and none could be found in the youth sizes locally. I logged on to Zappos, and within 10 minutes found the exact shoes I wanted and had them on order. Even with the Christmas Holiday I was given a delivery date of 4-5 days. Then to my surprise they "upgraded" my order and shipped it the same day... I had the shoes within 2 days. I was thrilled, and two little boys were sure happy at Christmas. The quality of Dr. Martens is extraordinary...and they tell me the comfort is wonderful. Thanks Zappos for great customer service (your e-mail updates kept me informed as to what was going on with my order) and for providing an outstanding product. I am sure I will be ordering from Zappos again!!

Tough little boys----tough little shoes -
These boots are great for big people and little people. Besides my little boys being able to have the same boots that the big boys wear, Dr. Martens last longer and stand up to the wear and tear that they are put through.

Awesome Dr. Marten boots!
This is an awesome shoe!! My son loves the Dr. Marten boots - we buy one pair each year, and if it weren't for his foot growing, he could wear them year after year - quality is phenomenal!!
**Usually we had to go down a size for Dr. Marten boots, but this was a new style for him, and we had to get his true shoe size.
