First off let me give some kudos to Zappos.com for the super fast shipping. The Hush Puppies Gus fit my narrow foot just fine and the overall comfort was good. The problem I had with them is the sole has no grip, which is fine on carpet, but when you walked on a slick floor it was like you had skates on. I returned these and got a pair of Dunham Windsor, which has turned out to be a much better built shoe.

The Hush Puppies Gus were purchased to have a comfortable shoe to do a good bit of walking on our vacation in Europe. They really did the trick; one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased. And the service from Zappos was no less than incredible! I ordered at 8:30 pm and received the shoes the next morning at 10:30 am, only 14 hours and just before leaving for our trip.

Very light shoe. Boxy, but wide enough for a wide foot and a high instep. EEE w/ an insert was O.K. 4 stars for comfort. BUT. Soles wore out in 3 mo. Definitely an indoor shoe. First soles I have worn out in 40 yrs. Have to give it 1 star for longevity.

Versatile shoe -
Most comfortable casual work shoe I have owned. Last 12-14 months with daily weekday wear. Really appreciate that they come in narrows. Zappos is great, fast shipping and awesome selection.

I've worn Hush Puppies for years. They're the most comfortable shoe. When I can't get them and try something else, I'm always disappointed.

Light and comfortable - Bought this shoe for my 17 yr. old son who needed a comfortable black shoe for his new job. I knew he'd be on his feet all day, so comfort was key. Hush Puppies are famous for that. They are perfect, have a classic look and weigh just about nothing. He didn't complain about wearing them, so they must look good too.

Clunky but comfy -
The shoes look and feel a little clunky, but they are surprisingly light weight and very comfy. I have a very wide foot (eee) and tried three other shoes; this was the most comfortable by far.

I have not owned or worn Hush Puppies in decades, but this was a nice return to an old reliable. Shoes are very light weight and comfortable - a little wider than I wanted/need, but that's why "they" make heavier socks.

This new pair of hush puppies is as comfortable as my last pair, which was very comfortable, indeed. I wasn't sure which pair of hush puppies I wanted to order, so I called Zappos, and the friendly telephone woman there helped choose the right style for me. The shoes arrived the next business day and shipping was free. You can't get a better deal than that. Overall, I'm happy both with my shopping experience at Zappos and my new hush puppies!

Own Multiple Pairs -
My husband ordered these because he wanted a comfortable work shoe and has owned pairs of Gus before. He ordered them in both black and brown and they are the only shoes he wears at work. As always they were delivered as promised. He placed his order on Friday and had them the following Monday! We are always pleased with the service Zappos offers!

It kills my wife that I buy the same shoe over and over, and even buy multiple pairs of the same shoe when they go on sale. I have work these shoes exclusively for many years and I always fear the day I can't find them any more. Fantastic!

Not for me -
I have narrow feet and find that these shoes don't work for me. I like that they are very light weight and I am satisfied with the look and feel of the shoe but they are way too big.

We bought the first pair in Sikeston, Mo. 5 years ago in a Hush Puppy outlet store. He gets a new pair every year for his birthday. I don't think there is any better praise than that.

Hubby loves Gus shoes!!!
My husband liked these shoes so well that he had me immediately order him 2 mores pairs. Unfortunately, black was not available in his size. He likes them because they are so light and comfortable that they do not aggravate his knees and back.

My first pair of light weight shoes and first pair of Hush Puppies. They look good enough for business casual and are as comfortable as athletic shoes. The site was perfect, easy to use and delivered on-time as advertised. I'll never buy shoes in a brick and mortar again.

Great Shoe!
I ordered these shoes just before touring Europe a year ago based on the recommendations here. These shoes are great! They are light, comfortable and stylish. I wear them for business casual events all the time. After a full year of wearing them, they still look great and are just as comfortable as the first day I put them on.

I'm never going to a store again -
I have worn this shoe for years. They are great for standing around at the pharmacy all day, especially with an extra pair of socks. After unsuccessfully trying to find Hush Puppies at every local retailer, I heard about Zappos. I was skeptical about buying shoes over the internet, but I got exactly what I wanted a day earlier than expected. I will be using this site from now on.

Good Gus -
I prefer the zero G shoes because they're lightweight. It’s tough lifting a heavy shoe with each step. You'd be surprised how effortless they are to wear. I wish there were more styles offered. It would be nice if they went on sale a bit more too

Disappointing -
I hate to shop for shoes, so I ordered something similar to what I had and liked (by Street Cars). The right shoe is giving me blisters and is just not comfortable. The left is fine. Because of my high arches, I guess, they won't stay tied.

Black Hush Puppies - Gus -
These shoes are comfortable to wear, for the most-part. One smallish problem is that the lining tends to pull down the stockings I wear. The styling is all right, although it could be better. (I liked to old-style of Hush Puppy better, such as the tan ones I also ordered with this Gus one. The older Hush Puppies used to come in various colors such as gray, tan, brown. These were more in accord with my wishes for style than black, but this will do until better ones are made.
Somehow I prefer the lines, or the design, of the old Hush Puppies much better, also. The one drawback to the old Hush Puppies was their sole material: it would become as slippery as ice when walking on some surfaces when they were wet.
