I have purchased both shoes and slippers from Zappos for myself and family as gifts. What a great company! You just can't beat the selection, the customer service if you have a question, and how fast your order arrives. I absolutely love the Old Friend slippers, especially the "Snowbird" slipper. I am wearing a pair now and bought another pair, that's how great these are. I recommend them to anyone shopping for great slippers.

Warm, warm, warm! New resident to the great lakes area. Needed warm shoes for the house. I liked these because they have a good sole, warm, and soft shearling. Got here in record time, Zappos ships lightning quick. Occasionally wear them for a quick trip outside. Now my feet are happy and warm.

I bought a pair of the snowbirds in December for myself as I wanted to be able to go from slippers to shoes, and I loved my old friend slippers so I figured these were worth a try. My daughter came for Christmas and kept wearing them. In January my son’s girlfriend wore them and loved them. So now we each have a pair of snowbirds! They are great for just slipping your feet into and heading outdoors or just wearing around the house.

Super Comfy -
I tried Uggs once, but they stretched out so much I had to return them. THESE shoes/slippers on the other hand, also stretched, but only a little. I wear a size 8.5 and usually I'm told to order UP, but size 8 fits me perfectly, even with the little bit of stretching out. They keep my feet super warm, and I love that I can run outside if I need to. Mostly I wear them around the house and I've hardly taken them off since they arrived (with the usual fast service from Zappos). They look a little clunky, about which I could care less when they're this comfortable. I slip my feet into them the minute I get out of bed (without ever squashing down the heel), and wear them with socks after I've gotten dressed in the morning. They're a little on the expensive side for slippers, but after three years of wearing the cheap stuff and not being happy, I think these are well worth the cost. FINALLY, I have house slippers that are perfect: warm, comfortable, and sturdy. I love them!

This is my 2nd pair in this style! This time, I ordered a size down because they stretch eventually. The ONLY thing I would change about this shoe is the toe cap. I wish they would put more shearling down in the end to pad the toe cap. Otherwise, they are the best pair of slippers I've ever worn.

A "must have" item in cold weather -
I first purchased these slippers on vacation in Leavenworth, WA. As I live in the Pacific Northwest, we see a LOT of rain and cold weather. These are great to run out in, stay in...Whatever! They are so warm and comfy, good support too. If I could wear them to work, I would! Getting another pair due to my dog loving them too (chewed the cuff fleece off).

Indoor/outdoor slipper -
I have hammer toes and corns - and love to wear shearling without socks for the best comfort. I am getting the alpine style next. Warning - they do tend to stretch and I recommend ordering in your regular size and even one down to try out. Zappos is GREAT about returns as long as you follow their policy on trying out shoes.

Just Right -
The Snowbird seems well made, nice and warm, comfortable from the beginning. The sole prevents slipping on tile and wood floors. The shorter back (compared to regular shoes) felt funny for a day, but now I don't even notice it.

My Favorite Slippers -
My favorite dog ate my favorite slippers - well, actually only one, but one isn't good enough in No. Idaho. I got on the internet that night and went to the Old Friends website, which directed me to Zappos. Within two days I had two new slippers and my favorite dog is happy that I'm happy.
My Old Friend Snowbird is the most comfortable slippers I've ever had - winter or summer.
Dogs love them, too.

Sooo comfy and warm.
I even wear these to the grocery store because of their thoroughly grippy soles. I do feel it's best to order them a size smaller, so your feet have room when the fleece tamps down after a while.
Already got my second pair!

Snuggly Snowbirds -
I never had Uggs before, but if this is the next best thing…lucky me. I love the feel and comfort, though the right foot feels a little loose. If you have narrow feet like me...beware. Other than that...they are a terrific buy for the price, worth every penny!!!

Wear them all the time -
I was looking for something less bulky than my Ugg boots that I could slip-on in cold weather. These are very comfortable, in bare feet or socks. They are a little more attractive and much more comfortable than Crocs, which have a similar purpose for me.

This is the first time that I have ordered from Zappos and I have to say that I am very pleased with the Old Friend Snowbird shoe and with the service.
This shoe is wonderfully warm and comfortable. And, it holds up to rough weather, as well. I recently had the chance to wear these shoes in the snow and I stayed toasty warm.
I am in agreement that you will want to order a size up from what you usually wear to accommodate for the lining in the shoe.

All-in-one footwear!
It's a slipper when you get out of bed, it's a clog during the day, and then becomes a slipper again when you get home from work and comfortable in every situation! Cozy when it's chilly, not too warm on your feet when it's not needed - if you can only take one pair of shoes, these are the ones to take!

Outstanding Product!
I purchased this shoe on a whim for myself because I already have several pairs of the Old Friend Scuffs. I loved these so much when they arrived that I immediately ordered a pair for my mom for Christmas. They are so great for wearing around the house and even outside. I wore them to work on a casual Friday with jeans and I was so very comfortable. The Ugg craze took hold here out East this Christmas. Having owned two pairs of Uggs, I find the Old Friend products to be far superior in quality and comfort (the sheepskin lining seems so much better in the Old Friend products). The best part is that they are so much more reasonably priced than the Uggs, so you can buy more if you're so inclined! My mom adores her pair and has received countless compliments on them from others. She has referred everyone to Zappos to order a pair for themselves. The customer service is always wonderful - this is a terrific company!

Not slippers -
I bought the Snowbird to be my new slippers. When the box arrived, my husband said "Cute shoes, but where are the slippers?" So, I bought 2 pair of Old Friend moccasins (one for him), and I've been wearing these as regular shoes nonstop. Work great with my hand knit socks, the fleece inside adjusts for the sock I'm wearing. Great winter shoe!

Nice and warm.
I purchased these shoes before Christmas as warm slippers -- our house doesn't have heat. Lovely shearling warmth surrounding the foot. I appreciate others comments about arch support, which is another reason why I chose these shoes. I do have to say that my toes run into the front end of the shoe when walking outside, but when used as indoor slippers they are comfortable.

A good to slipper to have in a cold place -
It's not cute but it's warm and comfy. I wear a size 8.5 and I bought the 9 and it fits. The great thing is you can wear it to the store or to pick up the kids too. I hesitate to say the arch support is "excellent" but it is good enough to wear for several hours.

I got these in early December and have been wearing them to the grocery store, high school basketball games, etc. - they are a nice substitute for boots when the snow isn't too high. I like that they slip-on and are comfortable and warm and look good with pants.

Great shoe. I use them for slippers around the house, because I find myself going outside regularly in my slippers and these have a great sole. I could easily use these as regular shoes, too.

Old Friend Snowbird is new best friend -
My Old Friend Snowbird slipper is now my new best friend. A bit on the snug side but I feel they will loosen up with wear. Very warm and toasty. I will purchase this brand and style of slipper again and again. I am considering purchasing several pairs to use as shoes.

When the slipper arrived I was totally happy with the product. The slipper felt true to size and was exceedingly comfortable. They were nice enough to wear out to the store and w/long pants no one knew they were slippers. I actually had many compliments on them. They are truly my favorite slipper.
