Great shoe for driving those long distance trips. The shoe is constructed very well and looks great with jeans as well as slacks. I own the black with the great contrast stitching that lends a little more style to a casual driver.

comfortable shoes.. however the front bottom portion of the shoe comes apart very quickly. Within about a month of casually wearing them, they began to break apart. After about a month and a half they were garbage.

Great shoes. Pretty comfortable and very stylish. No complaints so far. The bottom grip design is a bit unique and may throw you at first, but it feels about normal once you get the shoes on and start walking around in them.

I've had these shoes for about 6 months and they've held up great. No loose stitches or big creases at all. I constantly get complimented on them. The best thing about them is the fact that they're versatile enough to be worn with slacks in the office or a pair of jeans at a bar. They look especially good with jeans, though.

Wanted a shoe that bridged the gap between dress and casual. This did it. Comfortable for most daily activities. Not really enough support for long walking, but that\'s not what it\'s billed for. Well made, fits perfect, I also bought the brown version. Would certainly buy a Madden shoe again.

I bought these shoes last summer and after occasional use they really did not stand up to my expectations. I thought the entire shoe was made of leather but only the top portion was the other had almost a plastic feel. The front of the shoe gets scuffed against the pavement and now the leather has come completely apart and looks bad. Can't wear them when it rains or my feet get wet. The support is minimal, too. Not worth the money and a bad investment.

Great looking shoe, not the most comfortable...
I purchased these shoes for my fiancé when he was looking for a new pair of brown slip-on shoes. He is usually a low-top, lace up doc marten's kind of guy... I thought that these would be a little more modern and not so heavy, so they would be more versatile. He runs right between a 10.5 and 11, but he could not even get his foot into the 10.5. He can get the 11's on, but still complains that they pinch in the toe box. The leather is very supple, so I am hopeful that they will give some as they break-in. Over all, they are really great looking shoes.

Review Update -
I really liked this shoe when I first got it, but it developed a kind of funky odor after about a month of wearing approx. 4 times a week, which seems way too quick, especially for an all leather shoe. I've tried limited wear, but the odor comes back every time I've had the shoes on for over 2 hours. I have worn it sockless a few times, but most of the time, I'm wearing socks.

I had these shoes for about 2 weeks before the leather on the front of the toe creased and then broke. My toes poked through on both shoes. There are better shoes out there. I tried to get them repaired, but the shop said that it would cost more than a new pair. Not that I'll buy another pair of these.

Great night out shoe - Stylish, but best suited for a night out on the town where you'll be sitting a lot. Not a ton of support, as my feet pronate and you can totally tell as they bend this shoe inward. But sitting for dinner most of the night, they were great!

Great Shoe!!!
I had been searching for a casual, yet stylish shoe for quite some time and I must say Steve Madden's Novo does the trick. Not only does it look great, but they are very comfortable as well. They look great with pretty much any pair of jeans or while at work. Price is great, too, so I would definitely recommend this shoe to any guy.

Nice Shoes -
I bought these shoes to wear to work and out at night with my friends. They are great for both of those. My only complaint is when you wear them with no socks the leather liner on the bottom tends to crinkle up under your toes. Other than that they are comfortable and stylish.

This shoe is pretty comfortable very attractive and overall it’s a good shoe. One bad thing is that you have to be careful with the white stitching because it gets dirty easily.

... but no arch support. That's my biggest complaint. I also noticed the insole starting to come out when I go sockless. Overall good shoe for office casual work environment.

Stitching came apart after a dozen wears -
The stitching near the tongue of the left shoe came apart after maybe a dozen days of wearing the shoes.

This is my second pair of Novos, so I know that they are quite comfy. Have the brown and purchased the dark brown this time since I found that the lighter ones show more stains/spots.

Rub the Ankles a Bit but look great while doing it.
I've worn these shoes off and on for a couple of weeks and they still have a tendency to rub my ankles after extended wear. I'm hoping they wear in a bit over time, but if not they are still tolerable and a good looking shoe at that.

Very poor thread stitching -
The upper stitching on the side of the shoe (where the upper lip connects to the wall of the shoe) started to come undone very easily shortly after I started wearing these shoes. Zappos, with their prompt and great service, offered me a replacement pair. The exact same problem occurred with the second pair as soon as I started wearing them. It seems the end of the thread is not secured in any way, so the stitching unravels once you put the shoes on and start walking in them.
Consider the JUMP Dunbar instead. It is the exact same design as the Steve Madden Novo, although not as soft, but rather rigid.

These shoes feel super soft on the inside, and look really good with jeans. I'm very happy with my purchase. As far as size goes, contrary to what a previous reviewer said, these shoes feel true to size. I normally wear a size 12, and size 12 fits just right.

Smell -
I bought these shoes for my husband. They are awesome, but there is one thing about them. They smell horrible. I love the smell of leather, but it is more of a musky wet dog smell and it is strong.

Terribly-made shoes. Rubs blisters the size of a half-dollar -
I bought these shoes thinking they would be comfortable to wear in the office and going out to meetings, but the leather on the bottom of the shoe easily breaks down and scuffs, also the stitching easily comes apart. There is hardly any rubber sole on the bottom of the shoe, so the potential for rips & tears is extremely high, especially if you plan to do some street walking in these.
I would never buy these shoes again; the narrow heel support rubbed my heel raw to the point where I had a giant raspberry blister on the back of my heel from wearing the shoe for only 30 minutes, doing some walking. These shoes are terrible, buy the Louka instead.

 |  | I couldn't wait until these sandals arrived as they were a birthday gift for my oldest daughter. She had pointed them out to me so I tried to remember as much information about them. I managed to grab the last pair (at that time) in the color and size she wears. Boy, was she surprised and ecstatic I had bought them for her. She wears them daily and tells me they are the most comfortable sandals she's ever had. I must thank Zappos, the friendly and courteous staff for expediting delivery at no cost for these to be enjoyed so quickly. Because of the excellent service and prices, we returned to do more shopping. Again, I was able to snag the last pair of Adidas running shoes for my other daughter, who is off to college and I insisted she needed to wear comfortable, supportive shoes as getting around campus involves a lot of walking. She found them, but was afraid they would be sold before I had a chance to obtain them. Boy, was she ever surprised when the UPS guy showed up with a gift package for her the next day! Additionally, that same day I bought five items for my other daughter and myself, which also arrived the next day. Thank you for making so many products affordable in these trying financial times!
