I had bought a pair of Clarks shoes within the last year, but did not have the sales slip. I went on-line to find the Clarks website and was routed to your company. I only wanted Clarks to be aware of the problem I had with the shoes -- truly feeling it was a defect in the sole and should be known about and corrected. The black sole, on both shoes, cracked straight across about half-way between the toe and instep, but not into the stitching. I called the 800 # from the website and talked with a representative about the problem with the shoes. I wanted only to see if Clarks would pay for the return shipping of the shoes in order that they could be evaluated. What a surprise when I was told to go on-line, pick out another pair of shoes and they would replace them. I called on a Saturday. I had the new shoes on Monday -- just in time to be able to wear them on a trip out of town. I have bought and worn Clarks for several years -- probably at least a dozen pairs of their shoes, in all styles and colors -- and have loved and enjoyed wearing all of them. But after this pleasant experience with your company and your attention to customer satisfaction, detail, and promptness, you can be assured it has only strengthened my loyalty to Clarks. Kudos to your staff! I would appreciate you forwarding this on to the appropriate management in order that they also know how polite and efficient the staff was to me.
