I bought these shoes for my husband after his favorite pair of Dr. Martens wore out after seven years! These are the best made shoes money can buy. They look great with jeans and are casual enough to wear with shorts. Also, they keep your feet comfortable in the Florida heat. My husband is still breaking them in, but once Dr. Martens are broken in, they are incredibly comfortable. He hopes to have this pair for another seven years!

Very easy to use. Works very well at protecting leather. I use it on shoes, wallets,etc. Similar to Vaseline. Make snow and water fall right off. Keeps leather soft and looking like new. Keep in mind, though, that it will darken your leather if it is a light color. I highly recommend this to anyone wishing to protect their leather.

I loved these shoes the moment they came out of the box. They are sturdy, but really comfortable. I thought I would have to spend days breaking in the leather, but they were conforming to my feet within an hour. They\\\'re a great alternative to the foot-cramping high-heel.

Hmmm...I got these yesterday. Definitely do not order up; they were 2 sizes too big. I wear 9-1/2 and ordered the 8UK (10US). Plus, leather is way too soft for me, no support in foot at all. Toe is good though, not soft. Sent back to exchange for other style. Well made, though. Not as tall as I would have liked as they slouch a little because of soft leather. No arch support at all.

I usually wear a size 11 shoe and this boot fresh out the box was way too small. I sent them back and Zappos sent another pair the next day! Awesome customer service. Way better, very durable. I have bad ankles and it gives me a lot of support.

The style is great, perfect matches what I was looking for. Understated, all black. Awesome. But that is entirely subjective, either you like it or you don't. Unfortunately, the material used on the uppers is garbage. It is a weird synthetic plastic material. It is stiff, no padding, and just looks like Wal-Mart quality. It really dug into my ankles. Good leather will flex and conform. This stuff just digs, and it just gives the overall vibe that it will not last very long. I want something that is comfortable and durable. If they made these out of real leather (like my past experiences with Dr Martens, admittedly it has been a few years), I would gladly pay twice the price. I'd rather pay twice as much for quality that lasts 3 times as long, and is also more comfortable. Also what is up with no half sizes? Their 11 is too big and the 10 is too small.

Comfortable and look great. I haven't worn Docs in 15 years, but from what I remember they don't need the usual wear-in time. I've worn them shopping and comfortably walk 25 minutes to work in them. I've been stopped on the street by complete strangers asking me where I got them and get tons of compliments. Totally worth it (and really not even that expensive). One funny thing I've noticed; like snow tires, the rubber soles get harder in winter.

I really love the style of these boots; however, I have a wider calf than I thought! I am sadly returning these and going with another brand more fitting for my needs. Order a size up. I am a size 7 1/2 and ordered the UK size equal to a US 8; it fit my foot perfectly.

I really love this boot. It is so pretty and very comfortable. I also have the shiny black one. I am able to wear 2 different sizes only because I like to wear my shoes a little big. This one I got in a size 7. I can fit it wearing a thin sock. I have many Doc Martens (most of which I got from Zappos). I love them all. I love the service I get from Zappos. So fast. Living in Hawaii, some places charge more than the product to ship, but with Zappos, it's always free shipping! That is so awesome! I love Zappos!

I\'ve only had the boots for approximately a little over one month but so far so good. I work in the construction field so I need a boot that can withstand the water and dirt. That\'s the only thing I wonder about now, how long this boot will last. You can\'t beat the comfort but I am still out on durability as one month is too short to evaulate that. By far the most comfortable shoe I\'ve worn though.

Very comfortable and looks great! They are perfect for when you want something with a heel that is a step up from casual, but at the same time not too dressy. I absolutely love the black patent leather. They are perfect with black jeans where regular black leather just doesn't seem to look right. I wear 7.5 normally and size 6 was perfect for me.

Great boot. Durable, look great, make me taller. Tucking the pants in really gives a military feel which is perfect, since that was what I was going for. Over the boot looks good too. Very comfortable and very pleased.

This is my third pair of these shoes, third pair in ten years. They are extremely comfortable, and can take years of whatever you can dish out to them. For work, there is no other. I've tried Red Wings, Sears, and some cheapo safety shoe, but the Dr. Martens is hands down the best work shoe I've ever owned.

Great shoes. I've worn Dr. Martens for years, but they seem harder to find at stores lately, particularly a more formal pair like this. The last pair of shoes I got were another brand and I wasn't happy so I wanted to go back, but couldn't find what I wanted in stores. Luckily I found them here. Very high quality. The back rubbed against the back of my ankle for the first few days which was annoying, but it went away after the first few days of wearing them in. Very comfortable after that.

Good work shoe. I'm a teacher and on my feet 8 hours a day. These shoes were comfortable out of the box and after 3 months, they are still pretty solid. I've been wearing Doc's for years and these were the first that didn't need any break-in. The look is a little retro-orthopedic, but in the best way possible. Like most Doc's today they are made in China. I'm thinking about another pair.

I needed a pair of boots for walking around Europe in the fall, and so I bought these Dr. Martens Jenny's. They are warm enough, especially if you wear them with socks, but if you skip the socks, I find your feet and the boots will get smelly pretty quickly. I did wear them for a week of walking around the Netherlands and Belgium (Low Country), and besides being a tad heavy after a long day of walking in the rain they were just fine. I would advise spraying a waterproofer before you wear them in the rain as they will let some moisture in, and for a lot of walking a comfortable insert is a good idea. I wear boot cut jeans so these are fine to either tuck in or wear over, but any skinnier of a cut and you will need to tuck them in. I wear/ordered an 11 and they fit fine.

These are very good shoes for the price. They are sturdy and look quite stylish with just about any attire. They are stiff right out of the box, but after breaking in for a couple of weeks, they are very comfortable. The padded part around the ankle is nice. A word of warning - they are surprisingly slippery on ice, so be careful if you live somewhere with icy sidewalks.

Service and shipping is unbelievable (both times the shoes arrived the next day)! I bought these shoes as an everyday wear shoe, I teach and am on my feet all day. The shoes are sturdy, attractive, and well made. I wear and purchased an 11; I think the sizes run a little big, but with thick socks it works. I also purchased this same shoe in dark brown, but got a 10 instead. Snug, but with thin socks they fit perfectly. Wish they came in a 10.5! Don't buy these shoes anywhere else; prices are comparable and no sales tax!

Jury still out on these shoes. I expected a clunky shoe and that\'s what I got. However there is no cushioning or padding at all in the shoe. Shoe slips on the heel, which possibly could be rectified by a heavier sock, but I live in FL and we don\'t wear heavy socks here. I\'m not a person who believes that shoes need to be \'broken in\'. From my experience, if they do not fit comfortably right out of the box, it is unlikely the problem will improve.

These shoes take longer to break in than is believable. I'm a month into the process and I still can't wear them 2 days in a row, but every day they get better. They look marvelous and my legs feel good at the end of a day on my feet. Plan a long break in period. They are worth it.
