I normally wear a 12, but I had to go down to an 11 with these. If you haven't worn Chucks before you'll find that they are all about the style. Don't expect arch support or cushioning. Just pick your favorite color :)

I got a pair of these for my 6 year old son back in September. They looked great and he loved how easy it was to get them on and off. By December they were completely falling apart. He was upset though so I got him a new pair. This new pair is already falling apart in a month and a half. He only uses them for day to day wear. He doesn't use them for any sports or anything. I have never seen shoes just completely fall apart as quickly as these things do.

The ONLY request for Christmas from my husband was a pair of low cut red Converse shoes-- just like he had as a .... young teen. He even told me to go to Zappos, and after checking out other sites - guess what! Duh..Zappos delivered with the shoes at the best price at the right time and effortless! Zappos has been an on-line and phone-connect source with integrity and true customer service like the old 'days' that my husband and I both respect. Long live Zappos! Great shoe I've been wearing my chucks along side my vans for almost 15yrs now. The shoe clearly isn't made for high action sports, but are perfect for your down tome.. hitting up the beach or the town.. great shoe.

First off, thanks to the other reviewers for the size tip. I usually wear 9.5, but I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfect! They are kinda slim, but I have wider feet... still comfortable though. Don’t have the most padding. Also Zappos is awesome. I ordered with 3 day business and they upgraded me to next day air for free! I ordered on MONDAY NIGHT and got them WEDNESDAY!!!

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. I plan on getting a refill of these once these start looking old. I also want to get a pair for my son. I see lots of "Converse Heads" looking down at my shoes when i wear them too. Pretty cool!

Just received the charcoal color. The color is a little less gray than the photo - kind of has a "dirty" tint to it, which I like. I'm really happy with how they look and fit. Like other reviewers, I ordered half a size down (7.5 instead of 8.5).

Smaller than other (canvas) Converse?
I've been wearing the regular canvas black monochrome Converse for many years in a Mens size 7, but when I ordered the same size in the leather version, it felt about half a size too big! Put the new shoes next to my old ones, and sure enough, they were definitely longer. Other reviewers said that they fit the same as regular Chucks, but that wasn't the case for me. Otherwise, they look great. As always, Zappos customer service was awesome!

I thought these would be the perfect winter shoe for me, but the construction was terrible. Within 2-3 days the side of these ripped and tore. For a shoe this expensive this is unacceptable. It seems like the reason for this, is that there is no additional rubber thickness around the top. So one tiny little crack can turn into an entire tear down the side. If you are thinking about these for the winter, they are not insulated at all, and your feet will be cold. These would be great as a rain boot though. I would have loved to keep these, but the low quality construction made me have to return them. I would look at other brands, if you are going to fork over money on these. I ended up getting a pair of kamik shoes/boots that are built 200x better and cost less than half.

Just as pictured. Do order a full size down (I wear 7 1/2 and ordered 6 1/2). Fits just right and I have extremely narrow feet.

My husband loves his new Converse leather hi-tops. They look great and are really comfortable. Although some of the reviews mentioned that they don’t run quite true to size, he ordered his regular size and they fit perfectly. Zappos has an amazing selection of Converse and we’re on the way to trying out all the styles and fabrics. And Zappos? I placed my order at 2:00 am and received it the next day. How do they do that? I wish I could buy everything from Zappos.
