The Timberland story begins in 1952, when Nathan Swartz buys part of the Abington Shoe Company. He learns how to make shoes, and starts working on ways to make them better. Timberland history was in the making in 1965 when the Swartz family introduced injection molding to the footwear industry and the first truly waterproof Timberland® leather footwear is born.
The Timberland mission is to equip men, women, and kids to make a difference in their world. Timberland does this by creating outstanding shoes, clothes, watches, and other accessories and by trying to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
Timberland is a big company made up of a lot of small parts and incredibly talented people. They make boots, shoes, clothes, watches, and various gear that are comfortable enough to wear all day and rugged enough for all year. The people at Timberland don't rest on their accomplishments. If they did, theyd have only made one waterproof leather boot.

I wanted shoes for this winter, warm, but less heavy than my cat one, and without metal part to pass the control without blinking. These Pro 6 pit boss soft toes are just what I expected. I can walk hours, they are too comfortable and I don't feel them. There is no need any adaptation time. They were ready for me just jumping out of the box. Now my problem is, I need to wait a little bit to buy the next pair. I love them so much.

I recently bought a pair of these for work. My job is in Information Technology so I needed something that looked "business casual" but also needed shoes with ESD soles and safety toe (a server dropped from a rack, onto your toes, can ruin a perfectly good day). Overall I have been extremely happy with these shoes. They are extremely comfortable for being on your feet all day, and the alloy toe is very lightweight. So much so that I don't even notice that I'm wearing safety toe shoes. When these wear out, I'll buy another set in a heartbeat.

The shoe is everything the manufacturer says it is. The fit is true. I use this model repeatedly and have no problem. The one negative is that while they hold up well in structure, they tend to appear shabby and old rather quickly. \r\n

I just discovered Zappos. Where have I been? Love these shoes. I have two boys (2&4) and the first set I bought were too big but decided to keep them because of the awesome return policy, reorder the correct size. I ordered "up" because of the review, but I feel they are more true to size. Hopefully, we will just grow into the bigger ones. These shoes are both dressy and casual. They are a little snug a first but quickly get soft and comfortable. My two year old slides them on easily and runs like they he's wearing sneakers. Highly recommend!

I love these boots! As several reviewers commented, they are on the narrow side, so be warned. This being said, they are truly comfortable, waterproof, and stylish. I wore them on our annual trip to Paris over the holidays and walked miles in them. They performed beautifully. Have I mentioned that they look stylish, too? My sister in law (who lives in Paris, France), had to go out and look for them as soon as she tried them on! A good product by Timberland.

I bought these boots in a size 15 for my son. He works in a garage and is on concrete all day. He put them on and wore them with no problems from day one. He says they are comfortable, warm and his feet don\'t get tired. Very good value for the price. Would highly recommend them.

These boots are really cute, not as tall as I wanted, but very cute; come up to about mid calf (I am 5' tall). First day I wore them got 3 compliments! Very warm and durable, easy to clean. No breaking in time, could wear them all day. Great for snow. Plenty of room for tucking in jeans. The size seems true, but after a couple times wearing them may need thicker socks, but don't need them to keep warm the fur lining is all through the shoe. The toe is a bit slippery if wet on a smooth floor. May just need more wear. I love them.

I am outdoors a lot. Hiking, fishing, etc. These are by far the most comfortable and durable outdoor boots I have ever worn. And I have had a lot of different brands. They even work great when I shovel snow. The traction on snow and ice is incredible. Yes, ice! Recently, while hiking on a trail with a couple of buddies, they had to keep stopping and resting their feet from the fatigue their boots, at more than twice the price of my Timberlands, were causing them. The guys I were with by the way, are in excellent physical shape like me. So conditioning had nothing to do with it. Thanks Timberland.

I saw this boot at the Timberland store. I bought it for my daughter. The good thing that I liked was that Timberland makes adult and kids sizes and some of the sizes overlap. My daughter wears a size 8 adult, but Timberland makes this boot in a size 7 "kids". I got that one and ended up paying less than the adult size. I ordered it about 6 pm and I received it the next day. This is about the 4th time I ordered shoes from Zappos and every time I want new shoes I come to Zappos because of their fast and free shipping. I always get my packages next day and they make it really easy to return things. Also, the shoes are a lot cheaper than if I were buying them somewhere else.

I ordered these boots after a long search for the perfect winter boot. My requirements were something that was insulated, comfortable, and waterproof. Up until this point, I hadn't had much luck. So when I saw these, I figured that I would give it a shot. The fit is great. I am usually around a 9.5, but it really depends on the cut and make of the shoe. Well, that's what I ordered with these and that's what fit. However, it took nearly 3 weeks of wearing these to and from work every day to break them in. The heel of the boot rubs against my foot in such a way that I had to do blister prevention for the better part of a month. However, as a hiker, I understand the importance of breaking boots in and, realistically, it's not unreasonable to have a grace period for them. Now that I've had them for over a month, they are as comfy as can be. They are oh-so-warm and extremely waterproof. I live in Boston but go up to Maine frequently, so I have exposed them to both the city slush and the country powder. No leaks, no problems, and the best part is that they're easy to get in and out of. If I had to do it over again, I would certainly buy these boots. I can't emphasize enough how warm and comfortable they are.

I had to send 2 pairs of these boots back for warranty coverage. Each pair was less than 6 months old and very lightly used. The first pair had stitching pulling apart. The second pair was not waterproof as advertised. The quality of Timberland shoes have significantly declined in recent years. They honored each warranty with not problem, but I had to pay for shipping their defective boot to them. The rubber sole wears out easy, and the boots scuff and scrape easier than most higher quality brands. I will not be buying another pair of Timberland boots again. If you want a boot to work as advertised, I would try another brand.

I bought these boots in size 11W and am happy to report that they fit beautifully! I was excited to find such a fashionable boot in my size (which is hard to find). I also like that these boots lace up so it's very easy to get your foot in and quickly lace them up. All these reasons are exactly why I love Zappos!

No good. This is my third pair of Timberland Pro boots. I am very disappointed with this pair. I had them for over a month now. They hurt the upper part of my heel. I thought that they might loosen up, but they didn't. They are hard to lace up and take off. The top lace hoop locks the laces in place and you can't get the lace in or out. I keep braking laces trying to get them on and off. Terrible design.

I purchased these boots as a gift for my son. As usual, Zappos delivered the boots the day after I placed my order. It is awesome! They fit perfectly and my son was thrilled with the comfort. This is a great product and great service, but no surprise to me. I have been ordering from Zappos for several years and I have yet to be disappointed.

I am a Freight Train Conductor and had previously worn a pair of women's Red Wings, but was unhappy with how quickly the sole had worn down on those and was told to try these Timberland's. These are very comfortable when I'm out walking on ballast and concrete; they are very light and feel like I'm wearing tennis shoes. I've just ordered another pair and will continue to purchase these as long as they're available.

These boots are great. I read a lot of other people's reviews before I bought these, and I'm happy to say that everyone was right on. These boots did not require hardly any break in period. They were pretty much much comfortable out of the box. Within a few days they were like an old comfy pair of workboots. I think the boots look great, too, and the price combined with free shipping is the best I could find on the internet. These boots are well made. I tried on some Red Wings, and they may be a little better boots. I couldn't tell the difference, or at least not enough for double the money. You can't go wrong with these boots.
