Camper (which means peasant in Catalan) is the living history of a family business and a great family of collaborators who, for more than a century and four generations, have dedicated their work to the shoe industry.
Camper began its activity in 1975, but in order to understand the values of commitment and quality accumulated by a family business like Camper, one has to go back 130 years. In 1877, Antonio Fluxà, a craftsman shoemaker, set sail for England to find out about new methods of industrial manufacturing. Upon his return, he gathered together a group of craftsmen of the county of Inca (Majorca) and introduced the first machines for manufacturing shoes. An innovative spirit transmitted to future generations: pioneering spirit, love for the profession, quality products, and function. His son Lorenzo Fluxà was born into a shoe factory. He inherited from his father his taste and enthusiasm for this small object, always in pairs, that connects us to the ground. He continued the tradition by pampering quality and favoring industrial manufacturing.
The historical and social changes that occurred in Spain during the 70's were reflected in a new way of life. New styles, new concepts. With the solid support of a century-old tradition, Lorenzo Fluxà, Antonio's grandson, created Camper in 1975; it was a concept reflecting a new lifestyle. A new concept based on freedom, comfort and creativity.
In 1981, the first Camper store was opened in Barcelona. A concept that revolutionized the world of traditional shoemaking, incorporating graphic elements and functional display. In 1992, the international expansion of the brand began, with the opening of branches in the main centers of European fashion (United Kingdom, France, and Italy) with locations in the United States to follow shortly thereafter. Today, Camper is still very much a Shoe family having maintained its activity without interruption over the course of four generations.
Over all of these years, Camper has really been creative with the graphic presentation of its concepts, and because of this over forty artists and designers have participated in its projects. The inspiration of these international artists have been illustrated in every Camper concept. Design is the philosophy behind the brand- comfort with imagination. Shoes that are unique and functional for everyday.
Camper is so much more than just shoes. Camper defines people, quality, comfort and design. It reflects the ironies and contrasts of everyday life, from the whimsical Twins, to the classic mens oxfords with funky designs on the soles.
Imagination walks.

Simple and very cute shoe, great for the office. The leather is soft and good quality. However, the heel is a little heavy, which makes walking a bit unnatural. I wear a size 10 and got the size 41. I was a little afraid that they were too tight when I first tried them on, but they definitely loosened up after a few wears.

So painful. I am extremely loyal to Camper shoes but am extremely disappointed with this pair of sandals. Their straps scratch two areas of my feet. It basically starts to hurt after 15 minutes of walking and I always end up needing to put bandage on for the next couple days. Now I am very much stuck with them as they didn't hurt when I tried it on until I took them out for a spin.

These shoes are classy and comfortable. I get lots of compliments on them. The soles and heels are rubber so they\'re comfortable enough to stand up in all day, or walk on city sidewalks. The detailing on the toes looks very good. I like the elastic strap; it keeps the shoes from sliding on my narrow heel.

These shoes run very small. I have a suspicion that the shoes are UK sizes, not EUR sizes! They are not the same! Size 11 (US) fits like a size 9. Really nice looking shoe. Really bad fit. Disappointed.

OK - so some people might suggest these look a little orthopedic or granny-ish. I disagree - they are fun shoes, stylish, nicely made, and quite comfy. They looked great with the aubergine (hard to match) pantsuit I bought them for. And though they didn\'t match my formal dress at all, I ran to my hotel room (after the formal pics) and chose these shoes to change into to dance in at my son\'s wedding reception. I didn\'t care if they matched the dress, as long as I could I dance. And I did, ALL NIGHT! Camper makes a nice shoe...

I love this shoe. I dont often wear shoes with more than an inch high heel because Im tall and most heels are not comfortable, but these are extremely comfy and stylish. They look great with pants and dresses. Nicely padded footbed. Camper makes great shoes!

The Camper Peu is the best shoe I've bought in a long time. The soft leather and glove-like fit make them very comfortable to wear. One thing to note is the sizing is off a bit. I normally wear 8 1/2 and a 41. In these shoes (just this style, not all Campers) a 40 fits perfectly. I am curious to see the long-term durability of the elastic lace and how to get replacements.

I bought these shoes in a size 8 (38) because size 9 would definitely be too big. When they arrived, they felt a little tight but they were so cute that I thought I could wear them in. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The shoes are very uncomfortable after 3 days of wear. From the front of the shoe squishing my toes together, to the back of the heel giving me the biggest blister I ever had (!), this is the worst shoe purchase I have ever made.

This is a cute shoe style for a comfort brand, but it was not comfortable. I found that the size 6 I ordered felt much wider than expected, and I have a medium-wide foot, so I was surprised to find it so roomy on my foot. I felt like the front of my foot was moving around too much because it was so wide, and it also had no arch support, so my arches were about 1/4-1/2 inch above the sole and I felt a lot of pressure on my arches at every step. I could have lived with the roominess at the front of the shoe, as it's better than having shoes that pinch, but not the issue with the arches, so I'm returning them.

Just received these the other day. These shoes are fantastic. At first I thought the arch support wouldn't cut it for me, but I put them on and they fit perfectly. Right out the box, no need to break them in. I was, however, a little confused by the sizing at first. The chart says that a 46 equals a US 13. This was news to me. I have lots of shoes that are 46=11.5 US. So I called Zappos and they suggested that I order the 45. I did and it was perfect! Thanks, Zappos.

My first pair of Campers and I love 'em! I was a little concerned about the lack of half-size shoes, as I'm a 10.5. I ended up going with the size 11 shoes and they fit great. These shoes are super light. I recommend these shoes for folks with wide feet like me.

I got these for my boyfriend. He is 6' 4" and wears a size 14 so many shoes in his size are heavy to walk in. He loves these shoes, says they are lightweight and a pleasure to put on after a long day of wearing heavy work shoes. I noticed that he doesn't wear his athletic shoes anymore when we got out for a walk. He has taken to wearing these most of the time. He likes the styling. Somehow they make his big (though narrow-ish) feet look small.

Handsome boots, but somewhat shorter than they could be. Had these boots been two inches taller I would have kept them. They are great boots: beautiful heels and very good quality leather, but they jutted out a bit and ended about two-thirds of the way up my calves, and that just wasn't attractive.

The design is conservative. I would suggest wearing to work. They are not really designed to be worn out casually (maybe to a work party). The shoes are constructed well. They are very snug around the back. It feels a little uncomfortable. The shoes are sized smaller. I have a size 11. My foot size is 10 - 10.5. The shoes should not be so snug.

I actually bought and then returned these shoes, so you might wonder why I still gave them 4 stars. They're comfortable. The leather is very soft, but it's literally a single piece of leather, no padding or lining of any kind. The footbed is completely flat, there is absolutely no arch support. And the sole is incredibly thin without any kind of heel. You end up feeling like you're wearing a moccasin or a slipper or something. They look cool, but for this much money you feel like you're not getting very much. I was also very skeptical of how durable they were going to be, and since I walk a few miles to and from work that was a concern. Hey, if you want a fashion shoe and are willing to plunk down the change, go for it. But for an everyday walking shoe, there's no way.

I LOVE Camper Twins, but usually can\'t wear them because they are too narrow. However, these are great/comfortable and really cute. They actually feel supportive, too. The shoe seems to run pretty true to size--I wear an 8W and the 39 is a perfect fit. I tried on the 40 and it was too long.

Very cool looking sneaker. A nice bridge between a Rod Laver tennis shoe and something hipper. Its simplicity is the secret. I have a narrow foot so I'll use a Superfeet insole (used to it) as it does need a little arch support. Very comfortable and exclusive. My 18 year old wants a pair. Finally something we can agree on! Excellent Zappos shipping.

No joke! Clark's Artisan's have nothing on these Campers. They are the most comfortable shoes I've had on my feet in a very long time! No break-in time required and they're cute, too. The strap across the toe could be a smidge tighter, but if it was, they probably wouldn't be as comfy.
