These socks are well constructed and seem to be holding up well after a few wash/drying cycles. They offer good cushioning in the right spots and wick away moisture so they have the baseline running sock requirements covered. I wouldn’t say they make me run any faster or run longer, but I can tell when I wear these socks during a run and continue wearing for about 20-30 minutes after the run, that my legs feel less fatigued or "banged up". I have noticed a reduction in calf soreness and shin splint related pain. I would say the "lateral support" claims of these socks would be a little bit of a stretch from reality. I didn’t buy into that claim anyway, but all the other advertised benefits seem to be true. Good product and cheaper than C.E.P. brand socks.

I bought these for my husband to play golf in, half thinking I'd be returning them because he would just think they were too weird. I was actually planning to give two pair as gifts to others, but he wouldn't hear of it. He's barely taken them off long enough for me to wash them! He can't imagine why all socks aren't made this way. He loves wearing them with his flip flops too and bragging to all his buddies about how great they are. He wears a size 13 shoe and the large fits perfectly. When golf season comes along I'm sure I'll be buying more. He likes no-show socks, but, based on the reviews, I got him the mini-crew rather than micro and they suit him just fine. I can\'t wait to get some for myself as I am the athlete in the family!

Very soft, comfortable, and kept my toesies warm! I bought them for a ski trip to Colorado. I didn't want anything too bulky...these were great...they fit perfectly under my boots!!

I started to have problems with plantar fasciitis. Later I learned it was connected with Lyme disease. These socks and Addiction Walkers were a great relief, and I continue to use them. My wife also became a convert.

These are good solid, comfortable socks. A bit pricey, but they kept my feet warm when my cotton socks didn’t. They were thinner than I expected, but still keep my feet warm which is all I cared about. And best of all, they don’t itch your feet like most wool socks. I haven’t worn them in warm weather yet, but they seem like they’d be comfortable then, as well.

The Wigwam's were a gift for my daughter and she loves them. They are exactly what she wanted. My experience with everything I have ordered through Zappos has been better than I anticipated. Shipping is right on and returning is the easiest for me in reference to on-line ordering. I love Zappos.

Weird Sizing -
I read a previous review that said they got the Large for a Size 8 shoe, but it was too big. I had just gotten size 38 Hunter's, so I ordered the Medium, and it was too small. The part your foot goes into is just a bit too short (I'm a size 7.5-8) and they also aren't tall enough for my Hunter's. They can barely fold over the top edge of the boot, and thus can't cover up the "Hunter" stamp that's on the boot. So I end up with 2 "Hunter" stamps on top of each other- one from the boot and one from the sock. It looks funny so I never wear them, unfortunately.

I have suffered with cold feet all my life. I bought the Fox River Extreme Medium Weight Ski not knowing anything about them. When I opened them I thought maybe I had made a mistake. They seemed to thin to ever be capable of keeping my feet warm. The first time I wore them it reached a high of 28 degrees for the day. I was outside working. I was in shock that my feet did not get cold that day. These socks are so comfortable and warm. I love them as much as a man can love a pair of socks. I wanted a pair of lower cut socks so I bought the Wick Dry Pathfinder Crew. The blend of materials was very close to the Extreme. The Wick Dry are a bit thicker, but still very comfortable and very warm. I am happy I found these socks. It is nice to have warm feet. Who wants the distraction and discomfort of cold feet. After years of cold feet and brand after brand of socks I have found something that works. And they work well. If you think the price is a bit high for socks don't worry. These things are built. I have put a lot of miles on the Extremes. They are holding up great. The Wick Dry don't have as many miles, but I'm sure they will last just as long if not longer. I have one pair of socks that I paid $20 for. Fox River has outperformed them in every way. Now if they would only make gloves.
