Love this shoe!
This is the most comfortable shoe in my closet and I have a closet full of comfortable shoes. I bought it to replace a clunkier pair several years out of style. The sole on the Teva is not too thick. I like the thinner straps (which adjust at the instep). Nothing binds or cuts. My feet are on the narrow side of medium and sandals are often to wide or too roomy for me. Not these -- they are a perfect fit. The black color is not actually solid black but contains a little gray and taupe. The shoes are nice enough for a nice/casual skirt or any pants ensemble. Hope this helps!

The other reviewers are right on; these boots are amazingly comfortable right out of the box. I was shocked that there was no break in time required at all. My only complaint is that they seem a little narrow for medium width. It's not a major problem but had I known I might've gone a half size larger. Still, a great pair of boots, and they look fantastic! Lots of compliments.

Way better than Rainbows -
The footbed is very soft just like the beer cozy name implies. Wish it came with different options on the straps. The Rainbows that are so popular in SC caused calluses on my feet. These are way better!

These are comfortable sandals, but I'm missing the hold that is with the toe loop. They are good for just hanging out or heading to work.

My new favorite -
If you have a wide foot and are looking for a light comfortable hiking boot I would recommend these. They look great with jeans and khakis. I ordered these boots around 10:00pm and had them the next day! Does Zappos employ shoe fairies? You decide.

Awesome shoes- haven't taken these off since I got them!
These fit perfectly right off the bat. I normally wear a sz 10 and my right foot is bigger- but the fit was fine- especially because there is an open heel. These are extremely comfortable in every way and would be great for walking vacations, but are still cute enough to dress up for dinner. These would also be great for working/standing on your feet all day.

Great shoes!!
I bought these for traveling through Europe, and they are perfect - very comfortable, excellent support, and look nice.
I have an old pair of Merrell's that were wonderful for this kind of traveling (walking hours a day on cobblestone streets, running up train station stairs), but after one year they wore out (granted, I did put them through a lot).
So to replace them, I bought these Amsterdam's because of all the positive reviews, and I am very glad that I did.
I usually wear a size 8 shoe, *sometimes* an 8.5. I ordered an 8.5 based on previous reviews, and this is definitely the right size. Buy a half size up from your normal.
The elastic band doesn't bother me, but I guess I don't have a very high arch.
I got the orange, and I agree with a previous reviewer - they are perfect, not too loud.
Overall, an excellent shoe! And cheaper than the Merrell pair that I had.

Pleasantly surprised -
These shoes are much prettier on the foot than you might expect--almost nice enough to wear to the office. If you, like me, are a lover of slide-ons, these are a pleasure; they're almost as comfortable, but there's no work to keep them on your feet. Two cons: (1) there's not much arch support at all and the footbed isn't very cushy and (2) the straps over the top of the foot aren't as comfortable as I'd like. I've walked in them a lot, and they haven't given me blisters, but I am sometimes aware of them.

Keen Charleston Clog | Keen Charleston Clog 2008-09-02 13:06:52
Reviewer:Linda G
from Northeast PA Overall Rating:
I wanted to rush getting this first review sent, so others can know how the Charleston Clog fits. If you look closely at the 'pair' view, you'll notice the instep area is cushioned and padded. This makes the instep low and snug.
I usually take 9 Wide in most brands, and I order 9.5 M in Keen's and they usually fit. However I had a difficult time squeezing my foot into the opening of these 9.5's, and I don't have a high instep.
Overall the look is very nice, they feel fantastic, and the length was the usual 1/2 size smaller than US sizes. But because of the snug opening/instep, I can't get my foot all the way into them, making them feel even shorter. Also, I can't say these run wide as most Keen's do because of that.
It's unfair to rate these anything other that 5 stars, even though I need to return or exchange them for a size 10. The quality is excellent, they look great, and I'm sure they'd be very comfortable and perfect for those with a medium width foot!

Great shoes but...
Two things:
1) The size - at least a 1/2 size smaller than marked.
2) Really short shoelaces.

The Best Trail shoe ever -
This is my 5th Brooks Cascadia 3 shoe but my first red pair. I look fast. I have a wide foot and the shoe feels great. Great shoe for the desert and I will keep buying them until they (Brooks) discontinues them. Very easy purchase, I will purchase a pair every 4 months.

Cute sandal. A lot of compliments. Once you get them sized to your foot by pulling all the straps separately, which was quite a challenge, you will love the look and feel.

Solid boot -
I live in the mountains in Colorado. I put these boots on and went for a 7 mile hike (above timberline in rocky terrain). At first I thought they were rubbing my ankles, but they quickly broke in (about 200 steps) and were very comfortable and dry. I have been wearing them for about a week and have done a lot of hiking. I really like these boots. I don't know if I would use them for multi-day backpacking trips. (I have pair of Vasque Wasatch GTX for that.) These are good solid boots that are well suited to hiking in the Rocky Mountains and are good looking as well. (I use these with Sole Ultra arch supports and they are accommodated quite well.)

Cool new looks make sandal more city than trail -
This sandal is great!! When I opened the box, my husband said "Those are the best looking Keen shoes I've seen!" The swooped design of the straps makes the shoe more stylish & feminine than the Newports and they do not have as large a rubber toe guard - they look great sightseeing, museum touring, shopping, etc. They are also cooler than Newports due to the more open strap design. I do not think I'd go on an extensive trail hike in the Mystics -- they are not quite as supportive as Newports because you can't fully cinch down the straps all around your foot -- they are more like a sandal/MaryJane hybrid. I did have to put in some small arch support pads (FootSmart sells a very handy set of adjustable arch pads) because they did not have enough support for my arch - I fastened them down with double-sided tape. I found the Mystics run more true to size than Newports -- I could take my normal size 8 1/2 instead of the 9's I need in Newports. I agree with other writers that the buckle is small and can sometimes be hard to work but mine are getting easier as I use the buckles more. All in all, a fabulous shoe!

I bought these boots for my mother as a gift (she gardens a lot) so I can't speak to their comfort. That said, Hunters are classic, so they have to be doing something right.

 | | I am a first time shopper with Zappos.com and I have to pass along that I am very impressed by your company and your customer service. I had never heard of your company before I watched a recent episode of 20/20. I am an avid online shopper and made a mental note of your online store. I went on your web site for the first time late last night. I fell in love with several pairs of shoes and placed my first order. I was expecting to receive my order within 5 business days and what a nice surprise to learn this morning that they had been packed, shipped and are arriving today! I have a high standard, and without question, Zappos.com has exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be ordering from your company again in the near future. By the way, the shoes are fabulous! Thank You! | | ~ Linda B., July 31 2008
