Cut more narrow than other shoes -
I love Umi shoes. This style is a bit more narrow than others. We had the SOFIA (with the trim around top of the foot) style last year and loved them until they were really too small. They held up AMAZINGLY. The soles still could last another year. She likes to drag her feet so the top of the toe shows a little wear, but NO HOLES! A little polish and buff did just fine! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE UMI. May not be best for wide feet.

I bought these for my granddaughter and she is VERY fussy about style, comfort, and ease to get on and off. SHE LOVES THEM!!! This is a great shoe for any weather and super cool and comfortable. I will definitely buy this brand again.

Love these shoes - My daughter wore these on the first day of school and loves them. They are pretty enough to wear with dresses, but the rubber soles are appropriate for recess, gym (she's only in 1st grade), etc. I'm very happy with these shoes!

This shoe is just beautiful and the quality is great... only thing is that it does run a full size small. I ordered two different pairs of Umi shoes the Viola in size 33 and another in size 32 and the size 32 was a full size larger... not sure why Viola would vary so much from other shoes... too bad. But, beautiful but could use a bit more padding... rating it 4 in comfort because of this and overall a 4 because of the mis-sizing that the other reviewer also confirmed.

These are the first shoes my daughter will grab to wear - pretty enough to wear with a skirt, but excellent for being a kid in. They really are pretty and she says they are very comfortable.

Great sandals!!! This is my first time buying this brand of shoe and we'll definitely be buying more. My son has a wide foot and we often have trouble finding velcro sandals that work for him. These are fantastic! Not only are they cute, but nice and sturdy – great for a kid who isn't steady on his feet yet. We love them.

A shoe that fits my daughters wide wide foot straight out of the box, no break-in period, no whining - just comfort. It's a bit shocking really b/c it happens so rarely. The only other shoe with which we get that are Mion's for kids current sandals. She loves, loves, loves these. That transition period between summer sandals and 'school' shoes is so difficult typically, but with these it's a breeze! She also loves the Umi Boots.

If comfort is your top priority...
Then this is the boot for you. Umi does it right. They put foot health and development first, and then design stylish shoes around that. My personal feeling is that just about every child should wear wide shoes (which is Umi's philosophy as well). My 9 yo found them to be supremely comfortable and loved the look. My 7 yo wasn't so keen on the look so she's got something else.

Awesome shoe for difficult-to-fit wide feet - I tried at least 20 pairs of sandals for my son before I found this winner. His feet are very wide and he's very sensitive about anything scratchy, itchy, or just too stiff next to his skin. These shoes fit PERFECTLY, and are completely smooth padded leather inside so my son was fine with them with no breaking in period necessary. I also love that with all-leather uppers they don't get that horrible stink that happens with all those synthetic plasticky and pleather type shoes out there. These Umis have a wonderful fit and conform instantly to the shape of your child's foot, and I can't say enough good things about them. The orange is really cute, I just wish there were other color combinations to choose from as well. (My son really wanted green sandals, but you can't have everything!)

We have these shoes in orange non-patent material for our daughter, and I loved them so much that I got the next size up (her feet grow so fast!) for the rest of the summer, this time in the pink patent. The patent material makes it harder to actually adjust the straps (it doesn't have as much "give"), so it always seems too tight on her little ankle- and we've had for a few weeks so they are definitely broken in at this point. I love these shoes, but I would not get again in patent as the material is just harder to adjust.

Great shoe but careful with your size! Feels 2 sizes bigger -
A very nice looking, durable boys sandal. Love it, but the guide said to order one size down, and I did, but they were still huge. (I realize now it only gives an option below to say 1 size larger.) I had to return them and order 2 down from his current size. Umi’s are huge. It is a super shoe, though. Love it!

Terrific summer sandal - This sandal is easy to put on and adjust for a good fit. My daughter is thrilled that she can put them on herself! The sole is very flexible and the leather is soft. I love that it is both comfortable and pretty!

OH MY GOSH! The best shoe for boys ever. Not only are these well made, they are super stylish. I have 2 boys 2 & 4 and I bought them these shoes and they are great. Easy to put on and off (the front is also Velcro, great for wide feet). They look so slick. My brother is getting married this summer and we have a lot of functions to go to so these are the perfect summer dressy sandal! I only wish they came in men’s sizes for my husband!

Great shoes, all around -
We've been very happy with these shoes. Unlike other sandals with flowers these flowers don't budge-- even when my 2 year old wears them everyday. They're cute, comfortable and stable.

Perfect Sandal For Boys -
This shoe is very adorable. Great quality and seemingly comfortable (though admittedly hard to tell from my three-year old who thinks any new shoe is "awesome"). However, I had to order it a full size smaller than normal. Also, the brown is much cuter than the navy in person.

Too cute! (And comfy, too)
I got these for my 14-month-old son, who has long, skinny feet. I'd never heard of Umi until recently, when we visited family in the UK and one of my son's cousins had some adorable Umi shoes that I really admired. So I decided to try these sandals out for my little guy, and I love them! The leather is SO soft and supple, and the sole seems like it has just the right amount of support -- not too thick and heavy, and not too thin and flimsy. He has no problem at all walking in them. These do seem to run a bit big -- I got the 5.5 after talking with the fit specialist, and he definitely has a little bit of room to grow in these.

Best boot ever -
These were the perfect boots for my 6 year old. Other than the toe peeling from her sitting on her feet, they were comfortable, supportive and fabulous! She wore them almost everyday and even in the rain. I will, without a doubt, go straight to Umi for boots, always.

Umi sandals - a must have for the summer -
My daughter is 6 years old, and this is her 4th pair of Umi sandals. It's comfortable, stylish, easy to put on, and she loves it. It's pricey since she can only wear it for a few months, but well worth it.

Comfortable Dressy sandal -
My 5 year old daughter has a narrow foot and Umi shoes/sandals always fit her well. This sandal is so pretty. I ordered the white patent which is dressy enough to wear with fancy outfits. My daughter recently wore them to a wedding and they looked great with her fancy pink dress! She loves them and is able to run around comfortably.
