Since 1901, Chippewa has been creating footwear based on simple, fundamental rules. Most importantly, they use only the best materials, the best construction techniques and the most innovative technology. The result -- unquestionably the best boots around. That's what we mean when we say Chippewa Integrity.
Initially, Chippewa started with only logger boots in its product line. Constructed of double and triple leather midsoles and hand-plugged outsole spikes, the logger boots were designed to assist loggers as they rolled the logs down the rivers to the mills. Based on that state-of-the-art boot, Chippewa gained a reputation for quality and began expanding the product line to include more boot categories.
The past century has brought significant changes in the need for quality outdoor work and sport footwear. Chippewa Boots continues to add new products to its inventory to meet the needs of its loyal following. As part of the Justin Brands, Inc. family, quality and craftsmanship continue to be the leading guides in its development, just as it has been for the last 100 years.
Rugged as the land they walk, Chippewa. Live the Spirit.

Life in Chippewas -
My wife bought my first pair of Chippewa. I didnt care too much for all the shine and pretty leather so I went straight out and took care of that! I did have to put insoles in them, after that they fit great and wore great. I have bought another pair since and they are waiting for the first pair to wear out!

Quality is the best description of this boot -
These boots are expertly made with beautiful leather. The toe and heal look great yet provide good stability. I love 'em.

Difficult to find size -
Last four steel-toe boots have ended up not fitting. These boots were wider than I wanted, but after the others being too small after wearing them and my feet swelling, I took a chance and ordered them. They fit good.

Cool Boots!!
It was my alternative to some women's boots and I tried them on today for riding on my bike! Once you got in (it's a little hard, I guess because they're new and a little stiff) they are what they've promised: great look, great feeling to wear!!!!
By the way: thank you to the CS rep., packing & shipping my items!!!!!

Great boot, but runs large!
I've been wearing these for a year for motorcycling. I even wore them to work one day last winter and they weren't super comfortable for being on my feet a lot (my feet hurt easily), but they work great for riding. Definitely order smaller than you usually wear. I normally wear a 9.5 and a 9 is plenty big on me. I think they've worn great and still look brand-new.

Awesome boots -
These boots are so awesome. They are very solid and sturdy and yet real comfortable and a joy to wear 15 to 16 hours a day like I do. I would buy these boots again in a minute and I am even thinking of buying another pair in black. I love the look and the fact that they are waterproof and have steel toes to protect my little piggies. I even wear them just hanging around or if I go out with a nice pair of pants or jeans. I am 110 % hooked on Chippewa boots. It does take a few hours to get used to the heels but no big deal.

SUPER Boots -
Great pair of boots. Perfect fit, almost no break in time. They come in wide and extra wide and fit my big feet like a glove. They are so comfortable you came wear them all day long and even as just an everyday sporty boot too. Yes they are a bit expensive but comfort for your feet has no price. Buy them and you will not be sorry.

Quality Shows -
After 20 years wearing L.L. Bean 6" leather boots I looked at many replacements to handle Chicago area winter weather and all-around walking. It's clear that these are quality boots and the foot support, welted sole, and detailing show it. Their boot restoration program will ensure these boots will last.

Best Boot Ever -
Best Boot Ever! The second time I wore these boots was for 12 hours on concrete. I thought I would wear them half the night just to break them in but they were so comfortable I kept them on all night. Such a nice boot I didn't even mind the cost.
Thanks Zappos!!

Excellent! Made in USA.
My 1st pair of Chippewa boots - took me a while to find genuine Made in USA boots but here they are... not cheap but probably well worth the price - boots seem extremely well crafted. I checked out reviews by other customers and ordered 1/2 size larger which turned out to be mistake because they seem true to size in my opinion. I returned 11's and got my actual 10.5's - perfect fit. Zappos sent replacement pair free ship overnight, top notch service Zappos - thanks!

Good looking boot. Runs a full size big. I normally wear a size 12 but ordered 11; it is still big on my foot. I put extra padded soles in them. They are heavy and cumbersome, more so than other pull on's I have owned.

Very sturdy boots. They seem like they'll be durable and work for me for a long time. They are heavier than the Timberland and Clark boots I've owned before. I should have ordered a half size larger to account for the thicker socks I wear with boots.

Great boots, they definitely run large.
I'm very happy with these boots, they look and feel great. The materials and construction are high quality for a very reasonable price. Heed the reviews regarding sizing, they definitely run large. My standard shoe size is usually a 10, sometimes a 9.5 depending on the manufacturer, so I ordered a 9.5 and they are quite roomy on me. I have to wear two pairs of socks so my feet don't slide around in them. I don't mind that in the cold weather because my feet stay toasty warm but when the weather gets warmer I'm definitely going to need insoles.

Very Nice Boots -
It's very hard to find a pair of riding boots that are truly "wide" - these come pretty close. I purchased a pair of HD ones -- those didn't come close. These Chippewas are nice, great quality and are actually pretty comfortable.
