Did you know...
LB EVANS was founded in 1802. LB Evans celebrates it�s 200th year anniversary this year. In 1804 Thomas and Amos Evans launched a small shoe business from there general store in South Reading, Massachusetts.
Thomas and Amos cut the leathers and supplied sole, counters, and heels to the people of the town who did the actual assembly.
The first pairs of LB EVANS slippers retailed for $.96 a pair.

Yes many of our styles have indoor- outdoor soles that can be worn to the mailbox, to walk the dog and even to the grocery store. Many styles can be worn with jeans and Khakis as well as you sweats!

There are several styles of slippers that are especially constructed for travel, they are light weight, highly packable and come with a matching travel case.

Really nice pair. I got them for use in the office so when clients come and I have no time to change to my normal shoes, these actually pass pretty well and no one notices. I thought at first they were too tight, but they have relaxed with time and are getting more comfortable with time.

I ordered these shoes for my teenage son. He absolutely loved them so my husband tried them on and asked me to order him a pair as well. They both are very pleased with them. They are extremely comfortable and warm. It is nice that the soles are sturdy enough to be worn outside. I would highly recommend them.

I bought these slippers for my husband and they were immediately a great hit, perfect fit; they are very true to size. Warm and comfortable without a bulky appearance. He says that the soles make them very cushy as well as sturdy enough to wear to take out the trash. They look good and feel good; he loves them.

Comfortable, nice looking slippers. First time I have had an open heel slipper and I like it. My wife calls them my "Hugh Hefner shoes", but they don't come with an invite to the mansion.

It is a good product for the price. It is comfortable and very soft. I had to buy a one-size larger slipper. I am 9 and had to buy a 10 for the slipper to fit.

Very satisfied with these slippers so far. Barefoot, the fit is slightly loose, but it's perfectly snug with socks. And they even look good, so I wear them with regular outfits when guests are over. The inner fleece is comfy, the hard-bottom sturdy, and most importantly, my feet stay warm. I wouldn't mind a soft-bottomed pair that I felt more comfortable putting up on the couch, but the versatility of these is great.

Very nice men's slippers, though, I was hoping the sole might have a little more pronounced heel and be a little stiffer then what it is. Still nice slippers and I hope the sole lasts longer then my usual from Walmart. I was on my third pair from them when I decided that was enough. The sizes run true for me. I wear an 8-8.5 med. shoe depending on the manufacturer. I bought an 8 and a 9 because from what I read they ran small. Not the case for me. An 8 did the trick just fine. I've had them for better than a month and they have stretched just a bit and have conformed to my feet nicely. I'll buy another pair if they last a good six months or better. Recommend them and enjoy them!

Love the L.B. Evans slippers. I wanted something that would keep my feet warm in the house on winter evenings. These do a great job. The best feature is that they are easy to slip on, just step into them. They keep their shape and look good. I highly recommend these slippers.

Nice looking and extremely comfortable. That is all that is good about these! They seem to self-destruct after about a month of use. The outer layer peels from the "leather", the seam at the back of the heel splits (no, they do fit properly and are not tight) and the edge of the sole/heel splits open (worn only indoors and mostly on carpet). I ordered 2 pair and both had the identical problems. The L. B. Evans Opera slipper in the "old days" was a very good product (that's why I ordered 2 pair) and then they outsourced, 'nuff said. I would give it zero stars for "Overall" and "Quality" if those ratings were available.

When I ordered the L.B. Evans Aristocrat Scuff I felt fairly good about the potential that they just might fit my husband and he just might like them also . He is a very difficult person to buy anything for; he has a hard time buying things for himself. I choose Zappos because of the terrific service, next day delivery, free shipping and of course the people you employ have always been such a pleasure to speak with. They are informed, courteous, helpful, and kind. All of this makes shopping a pleasant experience; it's easier to look at various products and styles and I know most of the time Zappos will have the size and width I need, not like going to a store to find little variety and when I find something I like they usually do not have my size. You have the best site for shopping, different views and colors of the product and all of this from the comfort of my home. Thanks to all involved in this great shopping experience.

I think these will be fine, ultimately. First you may want to know that these are pretty much as advertised. I wish the heels were built up a bit more, but I suspected this would be the case from the picture of the product. The disappointment comes from the fact that the back of the slipper rubs against my upper heel. With socks on, it is fine, and I'm guessing that with time either my heel or the slipper will adjust.

These shoes are very comfortable. A little wide, since the only choice was a 3E. But with an insole they\'re fine. The rubber sole gives more support too.

I wanted a pair of comfortable slippers with outdoor soles that I could use as my regular weekend footwear and these work perfectly. They're warm and comfortable in the house and when I need to go out to do weekend errands or go to the grocery store I can just leave them on. At first I thought they might be a size too small, but after a number of wearings they have come to fit very well. A quality product, highly recommended.

These slippers are so well made and comfortable. I bought them for my fiance and he was running to the store. He looked down and "lo and behold", he was wearing his magic slippers. He ended up running back into the house exclaiming, 'these slippers are so comfortable, I forgot I had them on.' Did I mention how well made they are? The quality is wonderful! I have a very narrow foot. I was so pleased that Zappos had the slim size in my favorite Evans slippers. I will continue to make selections from Zappos in the future.The no cost mailing will be a factor, since I am a senior citizen and need all the help I can get.

Extremely cush! What else can I say? I paid a little more for these because I wanted a soft, warm slipper for winter. These were actually a bit tight when I first tried them on, but stuck with it for a few days and sure enough, the sheepskin lining inside "settled" a bit and now they're perfect. Really do like the resin sole underneath in case I would wear these out to get the paper. Now let's just hope the dog doesn't find these like my old ones.

I received overnight service on these shoes and I am wearing them right now. No one that I know has better service than zappos.com. Even for returning items. I returned a pair of Old Friend and Bearpaw that are exactly like these LB Evans. The Old Friend and Bearpaw were just too tight for my feet. I wear a mens size 8, and standard D, and these LB Evans fit perfectly. I did not need extra width or length.These slippers are nice to wear around the house which is why I am not returning them. Also, I would buy another pair if needed. I have tried uggs like these and uggs are too big for my feet. Give these shoes a try if you have tried others that don't seem to fit and I think that you will like them. Ugg has the name but these slippers have the fit.

These shoes arrived yesterday. I received one day service on these shoes. Sometimes I order shoes from zappos.com and then go down to the front door to see if they have arrived! No one I know has better service than zappos.com.\r\n\r\nI returned the same shoe made by Old Friend and BearPaw because those shoes were very tight on my feet. I wear mens size 8 and Old Friend and BearPaw are just too tight. But the LB Evans had a very good fit and I did not need extra length or extra width.\r\n\r\nI have looked at LB Evans before but chose uggs instead. Both pair of uggs that I have worn were too large on my feet and these LB Evans are just as comfortable.\r\n\r\nThe fit is very good for these slippers and walking outside is no problem. Thus, if you are looking for this type of shoe, please give these a try. Ugg has the name but these have the good fit.

Certainly the very best "slippers" I've ever bought! I'm 73 and have bought many, many slippers, as you can imagine; these are the very best! Fortunately for me, I erroneously ordered my normal shoe size; in the past I had to order a half size larger slipper because that was the only way to get a decent fit. I must have been half asleep, or drunk, or something when I ordered, so I forgot to order a half size larger. When they arrived and I tried them, expecting a too tight fit, they fit perfectly! The deerskin uppers are beautiful, the soles are sturdy and wonderful; the slipper is as comfortable as any I've ever worn. Buy these! Zappos products and service cannot be beat! I won't buy foot stuff anywhere else; why should you?

Every order I have placed with Zappos has been a good experience.
