Please share a brief history of your Company:
Our company evolved from a merging of several rubber manufacturing
companies
called US Rubber in the late 1800s. Among them was the Goodyear Metallic
Rubber Shoe Company. Charles Goodyear came up with the vulcanization
technology used to meld rubber to cloth for a sturdier, more permanent
bond.
The various companies under US Rubber decided to consolidate the various
brands each on produced and streamline them under one brand name- Keds.
In
the 1960's, US Rubber changed its name to Uniroyal and now manufactures a
diverse array of rubber products.
In 1979, the Stride Rite corporation acquired the Keds trademark from
Uniroyal and Keds is now an integral part of America's wardrobe.
What is something unique or special about your Brand?
We use the vulcanization process in almost all of our footwear. This
means
that the upper is fused with the outsole/midsole while it is still liquid,
thus creating a very durable and lasting bond. The Keds name is
synonymous
with vulcanization in the sneaker arena.

What is MicroStretch?
Keds MicroStretch is a new generation of footwear that literally stretches the classic sneaker to its maximum potential. The collection is made of soft, cotton uppers woven with revolutionary stretch fibers to create a stretchable, breathable fit. Soft, lightweight with a luxurious jersey lining.
How do I care for my Keds?
While many Keds are washable, we always suggest following the care
instructions sewn into each shoe on the size label.
How are Keds made?
Most Keds styles are made using a process called "vulcanization". This is a process where the upper is placed into the midsole/outsole material(usually rubber) while it is still in its liquid state. This ensures better flexibility than glue or cement constructions and gives the shoe incredible durability.
Will my Keds breathe?
All styles with Canvas or Leather uppers are breathable. The soft, cotton linings used in most styles aid in air circulation inside the shoe.

LOVE this shoe, if only it was a little wider -
I have wide feet and it’s always a mission to find shoes that are comfy for them. This shoe sometimes makes my feet feel like it’s crammed together. However, the style is SUPER CUTE and I wear it all the time because the whole cramming issue isn't bad at all.

Stinky Keds -
I like the way the shoes look, feel, and fit. I think they're cool in their own subtle way; they feel good, have supportive soles, and their sizes seem accurate (I wear 8 Vans and find size 8 Keds fit the same way). My only problem is that Keds shoes stink up whereas other shoes don't. I wear socks all the time and the shoes have a canvas top like Vans and Converse, so I don't see how this came to be other than the possibility that Keds' canvas is more tightly hewn or has some waterproof layer, thus keeping the moisture/sweat in. And I'm not the only one complaining… googling "stinky Keds" nets a few results, too!

Great casual shoe, larger in length than my size usually is, but if I wear socks, it's not so bad. The width is good, I got the extra wide. Good construction, needs a better arch support. It is your basic Keds.

Comfy, but not as cute as they could be. This is my 3rd pair of this type of Keds mule. I like the fabric ones, but they get too dirty. These shoes are very comfy, and very durable.

Love these shoes -
I have a very wide foot and have trouble finding truly comfortable shoes, but these shoes I could wear all day and not need to take them off. They look great, are lightweight, and remind me of the old Keds from my childhood. You can wear them with anything.

Just what I was looking for -
I bought this shoe for my 90 year old mom who is in assisted living. It's hard for her to get out and she has a long narrow foot, so if we went to a shoe store, they probably wouldn't have her size any way.
This shoe is perfect for what she wants - easy to get on and because it's leather, it looks a bit dressier than a regular canvas sneaker. It has traction so she doesn't slip and she says it’s comfortable. And, even at 90, she wants to look good!
I ordered a size 9 narrow which is her usual size but it was too long. I ordered an 8 1/2 on Sunday and she had it on Tuesday! I returned the size 9 and my credit card was credited within a week. Thank you for great service!

Great summer shoes!
Girls, grab a pair of these quickly - summer only lasts a few months. Cute with capris or skirts or slacks, I have them in white w/ olive trim. Great heel height, not too hi or low, dressy enough for going out, casual enough for jeans. Comfy right out of the box.

I bought the Deep Peri/Bright Berry Flamingo pair. I think they are very comfortable and they fit really well. I am returning them, however, because the material looks like satin. I could not tell that in the photo. The material looked matte to me in the picture and that is what I had hoped to get. Very disappointing.

Pretty but not as comfortable as other Keds -
A pretty wedge but the toe area is tight for size 6 1/2. There is also a broken line in the fabric under the ball of foot which scrapes against foot and would likely cause calluses. I generally like Keds for walking all day and this shoe would have been perfect except for the discomforts mentioned.

Hard To Find Narrow Shoes -
Cute shoe, however this shoe I ordered in a slim but still must wear thick socks, I am surprised because I normally wear narrow width. I will keep this shoe and wear it on short trips.

Super cute and super comfortable - I am becoming a huge fan of Keds. Before, I found their flats rather painful because they rub against your heels and usually have terrible support. But their wedges are phenomenal! The inside is cushioned and feels fantastic, as if you were walking in sneakers. The shoes are adorable and I get compliments all the time! I highly recommend any Keds wedges.

Keds Again!
Great and cute little sneakers! I can wear a 9 or a 9.5 - got these in the 9.5S (AA) to accommodate socks. They are comfy from the start; though the pronounced bend at the base of the toes took getting used to (podiatrists say that's healthy, by the way). They are minimalist (i.e., NOT those big clunkers with the 2" sole), but still supportive of the foot. Very retro cute with attractive detail. Comfortable even without the socks. I am pleased!

Second Time -
This is the second time that I have purchased these shoes because I have worn and washed the first pair so often for so long that they have faded. However, I still wear them because they are so comfortable and easy to put on and remove. I ordered the second pair because I will be taking a trip on an airplane and shoes have to be removed at the security check-in. Also, I want to be as comfortable as possible and this pair will be perfect! I know this from wearing the first pair.
