In 1990, Ariat International co-founders Beth Cross and Pam Parker set out to create a new company and a new way of thinking about footwear for riders. Both riders with backgrounds in the athletic shoe industry, they realized the unique needs of equestrians – both in the saddle and on the ground – and the performance-enhancing benefits that could be brought to riding boots to give these athletes an edge.
So they assembled a group of top footwear engineers and designers, and set them on the task of creating the world's most technically innovative performance riding boots. They started by re-designing the outsole, rethinking the arch support system and finally taking a hard look at the suitability of "traditional" last shape and fit. While they were establishing the technology platform for Ariat boots, they were also talking to hundreds of top riders who helped in the design and development of the final product.
In 1993, Ariat shipped their first pair of boots, and today Ariat is the world leader in performance equestrian footwear, offering a full range of English and Western riding boots, work boots and casual footwear – plus new lines of performance apparel and accessories to fully outfit today’s equine athletes and equestrian-inspired lifestyle enthusiasts.

Comfy!
These are nice looking shoes and comfortable enough to wear to work all day. They do stretch out quite a bit after you wear them which is great for my wide feet, but if you have narrow feet, that might be a problem.

This is a very comfortable and stylish coat: I get a lot of compliments on it. The faux fur on the collar and cuffs keeps me warm, and it is very good for colder weather!

This was a gift for my wife. I had ordered them late I thought, but the next day they were at the house. This was a life saver. They are worn 3 or 4 times a week and my wife is very happy.

These are simple and very classy!
I tried many shoes looking for a simple ballet flat before I found these. They look great with jeans and are comfortable without a "break in" time. They are a little snug around the top of my foot, but I only notice that after wearing them all day, walking a lot. On a day when I am not walking a lot, they are perfect.

Awesome Boots -
I have looked for pink and black boots for a looong time for my daughter. She shows cattle and her "theme" is pink and black. Everything is pink and black. We have looked for boots to match at EVERY rodeo and competition we have been to and have not been able to find them. Not only did Zappos have them in stock they were delivered in less that 22 hours to me!!! AWESOME!!!!

LOVE THESE SHOES -
I have a problem foot, stemming from a stress fracture in my second toe and have a hard time with closed toe shoes which are required for my job. These shoes are terrific! They're not only stylish but very comfortable! The only downfall with this shoe is that they squeak when I walk. Actually it sounds more like the leather in a creaking saddle, which seems only fitting since the brand is known for their equestrian styles.

Perfect boot -
Ordered Sunday, got them Tuesday, put them on immediately, and know I will live in these for the next few months. After reading the reviews about being hard to get on I almost bought a boot horn before they came but I had no trouble, and I have a pair of boots that I do fight to get into but these are not a problem with the knee highs I wear. Also the brown color is much better than pictured. Love these. Love Zappos.

From the moment I put these on, I felt COMFORT! I have a slightly wide foot, but no problem here. They are great for walking throughout the day and I love them with skirts as well as pants! So glad I got them in brown, too. Truly a great comfortable clog!

Great looking boot. The arch support is wonderful. I can wear them all day with no discomfort. The finish is a flat brown, and they'll look even better after getting kicked around. Ariat makes comfortable boots that are reasonably priced. I should know, I own three pairs!

I love Zappos and these boots are more of what I've come to expect. Actually, I picked this brand based on the other Zappos reviews I read. They fit very comfortably and felt great starting with the first time I wore them. I'll buy Ariat boots the next time I'm in the market.

Where have you been all my life?
I gasped when I got the box on my front step, I (like others) struggled to get them on... but have pretty much lived in them ever since. I would order on the small side and they should fit perfect, like mine!

I'm tall and I wear a size 11. I always find a good selection of cute shoes on Zappos, but I'm not shy about returning items that I am not in love with. When these boots arrived, I knew I had a keeper. They are absolutely PERFECT. In look (I bought the cayenne/tropical (turquoise to be honest) Legends. The leather is stiff and well-sewn. The traditional "you need to stand up to get your foot in the boot" applies! They are snug where it matters, the foot bedding is ultra-cushy for a boot (feels more like a sneaker), and the exterior can handle some muddy puddles. But in San Diego, I'm wearing 'em with sundresses and jeans. I love these boots so much they're sitting in my living room so I can see them everyday. I'm not kidding.

Blazin' boots!
I am a HUGE fan of Ariat boots; this is my second pair of Probaby's! I just bought the all black with red flames on the shaft, what a beautiful pair of boots! This is my first Zappos experience, and I couldn’t believe how fast the delivery was -- the next day! These particular boots fit true to size, and I've actually found they are perfectly snug in both the foot and the shaft than my other pair of Probaby's which fit a little loose in both places mentioned. Most likely just the style of Probaby's, (my other boots are Probaby Scoth Oil Rowdy's). Still absolutely the most comfortable boots! No need to break in Ariat boots, they are ready to wear! Ariat soles are known for comfort and that's no lie! I'm a drummer in a country/rockabilly band, so I was so happy to find Ariat... such fashionable, comfortable & well made western boots! So incredibly happy!!! I'm addicted!

Great Purchase, Highly Recommended -
These are very attractive, solid, and stable. Put them on, and your feet feel good all day. They are slightly heavy (good construction, filled heels) but I expected that. The only "issues" I can bring up would be there is a tag under the arch of your foot you can feel if you wear them without socks, and the black rubber heel gets scuffed ... but that's more the way I use them and not an inherent problem. They are roomy in the toes, don't slip off, and really an excellent buy. I have a medium foot.

It doesn't get cuter than this -
I needed a pair of boots to go riding in and wear around the horses and stable. An added bonus is that I can also clean them up and get compliments everywhere I go. They look great with jeans, but also with a skirt or dress. Almost returned them because I couldn't get them on, the ankle is tight, but I am glad I forced them on. They are slowly stretching out and everywhere else is a dream.

A little short in the toe -
I ordered several Ariats to try as I was tired of all the Dansko styles and wanted the same support in the arch. The difference I think is that Ariat has more of a lift in the heel so your toe slides forward. I had to order a half size bigger and put in an insert to keep my foot from hitting the front. I do not have a narrow foot (wide actually) so I truly think it's just the shoe but I love the style and the arch is really great too!

Side Pulls -
I love the look of my boots, however, top side pull-ups are scratchy. I suggest hose that can catch or run not be worn with these boots. Also, I would like to see a greater variety to choose from.

Really, really like this jacket despite 1 minor nit -
This jacket is comfortable and versatile. The hood tucks nicely and easily into the Velcro flap in the collar. There's an inside zippered breast pocket and also another vertically zippered pocket wedged conveniently between the main zipper and the button anti-wind flap -- this allows you to put things (like your cell phone) in a safe yet accessible place without having to unzip the jacket. The front lower pockets are zippered and have buttoned covers for added protection from the elements. This is also convenient for dropping change and keys into the pockets and securing them in without having to zip. The waist strings are nice to "pull yourself together" so the jacket stays close to the body. Side expansion flaps also zipper closed, but allow easy access to your pants pockets when opened. The only nit I have to pick with the jacket is its lack of hand pockets. It's probably better that I don't have them, but it's going to take a little longer to get used to not having them.

Awesome Shoes - Bought these shoes before a long weekend trip to New York. Ended up being the only pair of shoes that I wore the entire weekend of walking around NYC. Extremely comfortable. Zappos delivery was excellent as usual.
