The lights stopped flashing after one week, so if you buy the shoe, buy it for the cute design and the great Geox construction, not the lights. The shoes come with a warning that the lights have a non-replaceable battery and that the battery will eventually die. That eventuality took place after only one week of normal wear.

Rocket ship shoes! My 2.5 year old son just got these shoes. He is a toe walker, so the stiffer sole and heavier weight is already helping him not lift his heels so high. We asked if they make him run faster, and he called them "rocket ship shoes." He loves them, so we love them. They seem more durable for winter weather than the mesh sneakers we usually purchase. (We live in Texas, so we get a mix.)

Love Geox shoes for my twin boys. Let them pick out their own on computer. So much easier than torturing ourselves in the shoe store. They last a good 6-8 months, which is fantastic considering how hard my boys are with their shoes. Also do not make their feet stink!

I bought these shoes because my mother told me that her friend's grandson couldn't stop talking about how comfortable his Geox shoes are. It was a good choice! My son loves these shoes and frequently mentions that they are extremely comfortable and snug. He claims they also help him to "run faster." When I asked him to describe his shoes for this review, he said: "good, good, good, and good." They are a bit pricey, but durable enough to be worth it. The last couple of pairs of (non-Geox) shoes that I bought for my son were about half the price, and purchased at a department store, but they lasted for only two months before wearing out completely (holes in the soles, etc.). He's had these Geox shoes for a few months now and there is no sign of any wear and tear at all. I definitely recommend buying this shoe! Especially if you have a rambunctious little munchkin like mine.

My 5 yr old son just started kindergarten and he loves these shoes! He's very active and athletic and these particular Geox keep up with him: Non-slip bottoms, non-marking sole for P.E., great for rock climbing, playground wear, bike riding, the beach. They're durable and well-stitched. Plus, his socks stay dry even when he stomps through puddles! He wears lots of orange colored clothing and this Jr. Hammer is a complimentary match for his clothes.

Bought these for my son for school. Tried to get a pair at the mall, but it was crazy busy, no one to wait on us, the selection was small and overall a wasted trip. Came home, ordered these online (it was a Holiday Monday), received confirmation within 8 hours that they were ready to be shipped, received another email the next morning saying they had been shipped, came home from work a few hours later and they were sitting on my door. Are you kidding me? As always, Zappos has the best customer service ever and, oh yeah, they sell great shoes, too. These sneakers are comfortable (second pair we've bought); my son takes them right out of the box and wears them, no complaints! He normally wears a 12.5 and we bought the 13. I think they run pretty true to size. Great sneaker, easy to put on, my 7 year old gives them five stars.

We bought these shoes for our 2 year old. They are very cute and sturdy, and good for a little one who's learning to climb, run, etc. However, they do rub his ankle on one foot and leave a little sore unless we pad it with a band aid. Since it's only one foot, I assume this would not be a problem for everyone.

"Buckle" is not great -
Disappointed in how the shoes fasten. It's not a true buckle, but one that hooks on the back side of the strap. It doesn't stay hooked well at all, and I tried several ways. I bought these for a six year old girl, and they are cute--but the "buckle" type would prevent me from ever buying again or similar styles.

 |  | I want to personally thank all of you for sending my shoes standard overnight, even though I opted for UPS ground shipping. I only had one pair of black oxfords and they became unglued after doing some yard work. I have black jeans and clothes to wear them with, and needed these shoes very badly. My sister was dismissed from her job two months ago and I have been paying all of the house bills and mortgage by myself, and did not have the extra money for an overnight shipment, so thank you for going 50 extra miles and doing that for me.
