Brighton’s story is really a love story that began over 30 years ago when high school sweethearts, Terri Kravitz and Jerry Kohl (who have now been married for many years), started their own specialty store. Being store owners taught them that people love being treated specially and how important it is to have beautifully made products. Years later, in 1991, Brighton was launched with a single collection of belts. Over the years, Brighton has become an accessory company with something for everyone, including handbags, shoes and eyewear.
As their journey has continued, everyone at Brighton continues striving to offer something creative and different to touch people’s hearts – which is why the symbol and motifs adorning the products is a heart. Today the business has grown beyond Jerry and Terri’s wildest dreams …yet one thing never changes - the people of Brighton put passion, inspiration, and their hearts, into each piece you see.
The company prides itself on the “Brighton Difference”, which is rooted in the philosophy that the difference is in the details. Brighton is one of the few remaining design houses where designers sketch each creation by hand and then follow the product from concept to completion. Brighton leather accessories are hand assembled and often require as many as 140 individual manufacturing steps using up to 40 different parts. The results are timeless creations that women have come to love.

Good looking shoe. Only for those with narrow feet. I love this shoe but found it to be tight. This is not the norm for me. Most sandals are loose, if anything.

What a great bag!
This is a wonderful utility summer bag. It is big enough to hold the necessities, glasses, wallet, checkbook, and shopping list, but not so big that it is cumbersome. The magnetic flap holds securely, so the contents are safe. It is finished beautifully, and the straw is a very subtle three shades of beige. I love it.

I love this sandal but...
I originally bought this sandal in a size 7 - which is what I normally wear in all Brighton shoes. I have at least 20 or more pairs of their shoes, sandals, etc. but this particular sandal ran so big I returned it and ordered a size 6. If you order only a 1/2 size smaller than I think they might be too wide as the shoe ran extra long and wide. Keeping in mind it will stretch out. It showed too much leather above my toes making it look like I was wearing the wrong size...
I love my sandals and they fit great!!

The shoe is comfortable and very stylish. Looks good with pants, dresses or skirts. My only disappointment is it's a little big. I normally wear an 8 and I think I could have done fine with a 7 1/2. The shoe is a little big.

I just love my shoes. The Brighton Kyotos are so nice and comfortable and they just look great on my little feet. I wear a size 5. I can wear them with my pants and dresses so I don't have to carry a lot of shoes if I go on a trip. After I ordered my shoes, I thought I would get them in about maybe 5 to 7 days but Zappos sent me a message that they were sending them overnight, I couldn't believe it! That's why I like to order my shoes from them, they do not waste any time and they get them to you asap. So, thanks Zappos.

Love this bag!
This was my first Brighton bag. It is a beautiful bag and very comfortable to carry. I have had it for two years and it still looks like new. Very good quality. I love all the pockets inside and the key leash. I always keep a spare car key on the leash in case I lock my keys in the car. If you haven't tried a Brighton yet, this is a good one to start with.

Buy these shoes!
I work in new home sales and needed a cute, comfy summer sandal that looks good with slacks, skirts, capris, and jeans. This is it! I own a lot of shoes (many are expensive brands) and I was very impressed with this sandal's quality and fit. The shoe is cushy when you step and the heel is a little thicker, so it's supportive. The buckle also adds a nice touch. I ordered these in the tan first, then bought the chocolate the next day - these looked darker online, but I still love them!

What a Perfect bag for its purpose -
I just recently discovered Brighton bags and after a very difficult decision, I ended up buying 2: the Emma and the Rachel. Those are wonderful elegant leather bags. However, I was traveling to Israel and the dark leather in that warm climate just wouldn't work I wanted a bag that was light and airy but could still hold a lot. I decided to check out Brighton again and -- voilà! -- not only is it a beautiful, light, elegant bag that holds a lot but the trim is a combo of red, dark tan, straw grayish white and black. As a result it will go with whatever you wear and it is perfect for the hot climes of summer in the Middle East. It also has a zipper enclosure which I prefer when I am traveling. I have received a number of envious compliments -- and one person commented that it looked expensive. I don't usually associate straw bags with that kind of panache -- but this one has it.
The only cons -- which I admit are a bit of a nuisance, it only has 2 slip pockets in addition to the zippered one -- that will hold a cell phone and a PDA. But I have other items I want quick access to -- and the other Brighton bags have 4 slip pockets -- 2 on each side. Also, this Brighton does not have the key fob the others come with. I miss that as well. Finally, the reason I only gave it 4 stars over all is one: within a week of use some of the straw has started to unravel. They say to expect some of that -- it is natural -- but this was the result of shoddy craftsmanship on an otherwise excellent bag.
The other reason is that though I carry a full bag -- I was careful not to over-stuff this one. Nevertheless -- it is already loosing its shape -- not good for a straw bag.
But for its limited shortcomings -- I still would not switch to another bag -- except I see more Brighton Straw bags have come out since I made my choice --- maybe I will **just have to** get one of those too.. :0)

Beautiful Brighton bag. I love the detailed design on the bag. I have received many compliments on this purse. I bought this bag at a Brighton store and I might order a second (because I love it so much) and if I do, it will be from Zappos. Your service is outstanding!

Classy and Fun -
First off, let me say I was a bit concerned with the "two-tone" description of these sun glasses. However, they really work well. The oversize lenses are so in right now and the scroll design on the sides are so Brighton. If you are looking for nice sun glasses at a decent price Brighton is a great choice. As always Zappos delivered the next day and I am very happy with my purchase. "Bring on the Sun".

I ordered the multi color, and they are beautiful. I've never spent this much on shoes but needed something special for a wedding, and these matched the outfit perfectly. I have wide feet, bunions, wear orthotics, etc. With all my foot problems I do not do heels. I ordered the wide width. They were extremely comfortable and beautiful. I was in them from 2pm until 2am without any pain. I do love the shoes, but would never have spent this much money if I felt I had another option. With my hard to fit feet, the special occasion, and the hard to match outfit; I had to get them. I will be buying other outfits to match, so I can get a lot of wear out of them. They are absolutely lovely.

Jewelry for your feet!
These shoes are cuter in person than online and I ALWAYS get compliments when I wear them. I gave them 4 stars for comfort simply because at first they were a bit awkward to walk in, as noted by other reviewers. However, after the first or second wearing, I found them to be very comfortable and I'm glad I stuck it out. I love the silver decorative piece on top of the strap, it's a unique touch that really makes these shoes stand out.

This shoe was so much more beautiful than I imagined! While the heel part feels a bit "heavy" it doesn't affect the comfort. I bought it in a wide width because I find I need that in slip on shoes. They are perfect and I love wearing them!

Stunning and functional -
This bag looks so elegant and yet it is a great travel bag. I used it to carry a small wallet, cosmetics, and a camera. It looks great with any outfit, dressy or casual. The strap is not as long as some, but it is fine as a shoulder bag. I'd get one in every color if I could!
