This is a great shoe for people with hot feet - it has super ventilation. Even if you don't plan to exploit its amphibious nature it is a great everyday sneaker. Very durable.

I’m on my feet all day, and often my dogs be barking, so I try to find shoes that will alleviate the situation as much as possible. These shoes are OK in that dept. It has not been a miracle cure, but I'm getting to the point where I don't believe any shoe can fully remedy. But yes these are comfy.
The lacing system is great; I hate tying and untying shoes, so this saves me quite a bit of foot wiggling trying to squeeze my foot into already tied shoes. Also no worries of the shoes coming untied.
I went all black, they look good. I maybe could have gone a 1/2 size smaller. I’m an 11 in many shoes, though my foot is prob more 10 1/2.
Construction looks good on these, still early, but they look real solid, and though I don't really need water tight shoes, I've already encountered a couple situations where it came in handy. Not sure if these things overheat in summer, I'm hoping not.

This was my second pair of Techamphibian’s. They're comfy, cool, and have great traction. Perfect for camping, light hiking, and in the water. My only complaint about this shoe is that the back strap doesn't stay tight, but it's not a big problem.

Like a good looking woman that doesn't have personality -
Love the looks of this shoe but comes up a little short comfort wise for me and my "Fred Flintstone" feet, wish I had just a little more padding in the sole and another wider choice in the width other than medium.

A sharp looking trail runner - especially in red. Can't take the abuse tho'. The biggest problem is that after a 9 mos. of wear (and tear), the nylon wire laces on my pair sheared thru the nylon 'links'. Pretty soon it eventually will rip thru all of them at some point. They should have used plastic eyelets or something for the laces to slip thru. Re-lacing is not possible, and thus rendering the shoe useless.

Long-distance hikers!
I do a lot of long-distance day hiking and do not care for big, clunky boots. After trying many brands of hiking shoes over the years these are by far the best. These got me 20 miles on a mountainous rugged trail, my feet were still happy after 8 hours of continuous hiking. These are a little more than I typically spend but are worth every penny!

Very Good Hiking Shoe -
Very Good Hiking Shoe with Excellent looks, sizing and comfort. Did not require any breaking in period. The only complaint I have is that the sole and arch cushioning is a bit sub par. A medium weight hiking sock would be a must on extended hikes.

Best shoes I have ever worn!!!!!!
I now have 3 pairs of the Techamphibian. I wear them year round except when there is measurable snow on the ground. Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Easy to put on and take off, washable, which keeps them looking and feeling new and lightweight. I may have to go in the 'box' with these shoes on!

Great Shoe!
This shoe is a great all around travel shoe. Completely waterproof and very stable. it was my only hiking shoe for a year abroad and did extremely well. It’s a little heavy to me for running but if you need a very stable trail running shoe this is it.

Trouble with lace holders -
The shoe is sturdy and provides great protection on tough trail runs - however, I had problems with blistering and with the rest of the shoe in near perfect shape, the heavy duty laces sawed right through their holders, destroying the shoes for trail running. Zappos was great though!

Finally a shoe that fits!
I have very fussy feet and have tried many shoes for walking. To me, it is all about comfort. I tried Keens, which are adorable but I have wide toes and narrow heels and they just didn't work. After hours of reading reviews, I decided to try the Salomon’s. I wanted them for light hiking on dirt paths, but was surprised that they are great for walking on concrete. My feet always hurt when walking on concrete sidewalks. These shoes have made a huge difference. I can walk around town and not feel the pain after! The lacing takes a bit to get used to, but it's rather nice, since you can quickly loosen them if your feet start to swell. I am VERY happy with my purchase and extremely happy with Zappos!

Awesomest shoes yet!!
These shoes are the best! I’ve been wearing them to work (hospital) for no less than 14 hours and they never let me down. Not a single rub on my feet from day one and never wore socks all those hours. Imagine when I actually wear them on trail runs and water rafting?!!! Hate socks in the winter time so I will be wearing these throughout the year...

I really like the Solomon brand and have been happy in the past. Not so with these shoes. They are narrow in the toe and the insole in uncomfortable. They look good if that means anything. I would return them but they have been worn. A pricey mistake.

Horrible fit!
I'm a small size 9 (meaning sometimes an 8.5, sometimes a 9). I ordered the 9.5 in these because that's all they had left. When I put the boot up against the bottom of my foot, I had about 2 inches of room - they were huge! When I tried to get my foot into it, I wouldn't even get my foot into the boot. The top is so tight. I thought it was just me, so I had a couple friends try them on. No one could get them on... or even get their foot through the top. A friend with a 10.5 foot put her foot against the bottom and it was big on her. Basically no one who tried them could get their foot even into it, so I can't comment on how it fit. Absolutely horrible fit. I saw someone late in the winter wearing a pair, so out of curiosity I stopped her and asked her about the fit. She said they were a friend of hers and they were 2 sizes too big for her so she could wear them... they didn't fit her friend. Also, they don't look as nice in person as the image shows them. Pretty horrible overall!
