PRO-Keds began in 1949 as a brand aimed at sports and athletic performance. Based on quality, durability and a solid reputation, PRO-Keds became one of the leading names in athletic footwear. By the late 70's PRO-Keds grew into a full performance line for athletes, making it one of the oldest shoe brands in the world.
Many styles attained cult status in the neighborhoods of New York among the streetwise who adopted PRO-Keds shoes as the first real sneakers with style. PRO-Keds became the shoe of choice with b-boys everywhere and earned its place as a true icon of early hip-hop culture. Teaming with Jay Z’s Rocawear brand, PRO-Keds is the official producer of Rocawear men’s and women’s sneakers and is able to write another chapter in its history books.
After an absence of nearly 20 years, PRO-Keds shoes are reissuing some classic styles from its archives such as Royal Canvas, the Court King and the historic Royal Master, bringing to life once again the heritage and history of this athletic brand.
In 2005 PRO-Keds received new leadership under Damon Dash, CEO of Damon Dash Enterprises. To this day PRO-Keds continues to stay rooted in its heritage with its classic styles while reinvigorating the footwear category with designs that capture today’s popular culture trends.

Great shoe...great classic look...and I REALLY jumped at the chance to get it in leather, but doesn't have the traditional 2 lines across toe. Well - the lines are "white"...so not really visible, which makes the toe area appear overly elongated. I was so disappointed...and will return them for something else. I wish Pro-Keds would make this same leather shoe with the strip across the toe...as the canvas version.

These are the best shoes I’ve ever purchased. They look way better than Converses and I am a big Jay-Z fan, so people go nuts when they see the Rocawear R on the side. Perfect. ZAPPOS, PLEASE GET MORE royal PRO-KEDS!

Great colorful shoe!
This shoe is really great! I love the look over the chucks because it looks small. The colors are out of this world, I was scared at first they might look to girly but not at all. I’m sure to get many compliments on these. Zappos as usual next day deliver and next day exchange.

Oh my God, these are cute! I have never owned a pair of Keds (I think the traditional white side soles were never quite me), then I spotted these on Zappos and gave them a try (I am 51 yrs old). They are very comfy for a shoe with a pretty basic construction. And the shoe laces with a little gold glitter make them a must have. I LOVE them! They seem to run a little bit long, but the rest of the sizing seems normal. I have high arches, so I marked these as having no arch support, but they do have a low arch support that my feet do not feel. So much fun with my brown capris!!

This shoe is absolutely beautiful if you love attention because the shine is very noticeable. I have the brown pair. I have a wide foot so they were a little snug but will be okay I think after they have been worn a few times.

Best shoe in town. I love this retro look. Fits true to size, unlike Converse. Very roomy shoe. I just hope that Pro-keds would keep making this and other retro shoes. Their the only ones I buy.

Pro-keds is the best gym shoe I have worn this year. First time I wore it, people thought it cost me a lot but they were surprised how much it cost me. It is comfortable shoe and i wear it almost everyday. Thanx Zappos.

It looks like the picture -
I had been looking for a shoe with purple in it because it would match the theme of my daughter's party. I saw the shoe and thought it would be perfect, but when I read the color, it said black, coral, and some other colors. Not what it looked like in the picture. I took a chance and indeed it was purple, pink, and white. I was happy.

These shoes are alright -
I got these shoes a few months ago.
They’re alright. They’re good to buy and look fresh, but they didn't last as long as I would expect. The bottoms are already worn away and the heel support is exposed and causes major discomfort.

Nice kicks -
Really cute shoes, although they look a little like AF1 rip offs. The yellow is a nice punchy color like the picture, not pale - not neon. They come with white & black laces. The leather is a little cheaper than I had expected but they are comfy and unique.

Yeah, they're a little loud, but that's just part of their charm. I get compliments on them everywhere I go and they're very comfortable. If you're in between sizes, I'd recommend going up. Really great sneakers - more unique than most of what's out there right now - and who doesn't want to show a little love for Ms. Pac-Man?!

I’m a video game nerd I play street fighter competitively and even travel cross country for tournaments, when I heard about these Pro Keds arcade shoes I immediately went looking for them and the only place that had the 2 shoes I wanted in my size were Zappos, they feel great a little bigger then marked but nothing uncomfortable after wearing them all day I got used to them quickly. I just also bought the Mario power pellets while searching for these shoes. Pro Keds has officially become my favorite shoe company allowing me to indulge in my nerdy side and stay fly.
