Great sandal - excellent value!
I was looking for a stylish, mid-heeled sandal for a European vacation and I found it in Vaneli Nefen! Since I have a slightly wide in front foot with a high instep, I would normally shy away from such a shoe; however, the adjustable straps and the stretchy material on the sides allow for proper adjustment. As a plus, they are very comfortable and stylish. Highly recommended - why pay more for a trend?!

Looks, Fit, and Comfort -
I wear a 4 1/2 dress shoe everyday to work. I can order a Vaneli 4 1/2 and it will fit every time. You cannot buy this size in a department store, so I am very glad Zappos provides emails that alert me to new styles.

Very cute sandal simply goes with everything... not too high a heel but enough to make it seem dressier if need be. I ordered the wide and it is also adjustable so easy to fit to my feet. They stay on well. I ordered a half size larger due to other reviews and they were right.

Awesome shoe -
This shoe is wonderful. I worked at a swanky shoe store and needed to wear shoes that are cute, but comfortable enough to wear for 4-8 hours at a time. This will fit the bill, though of course they are not longer distance walking shoes because of the patent leather straps. They are very comfortable though and look great with shorts and my wide-leg, high-waisted Joe's jeans. Another thing that is awesome about them is that they look a lot like a style that Miu Miu did for Spring '08 that my store sold, but that I couldn't afford. It's the same quality, but they look wonderful. I got them in the red and it's a good one!

This is a fun shoe in the lime, but it's hard to tell how comfy it might be since it was a bit big on me. Vanelis usually fit me very tight and a half size small. But these were too loose to stay on.

Cute and uncomfortable - I, too, purchased these shoes for a wedding. If you are going for the look, then these are great shoes. But if you are going to be on your feet for a while, then this is not the shoe to wear. After an hour, they had to come off. They were the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. Sorry Vaneli...I usually have great luck.

Nice shoe, but very formal materials i.e. fabric, patent, but the style itself is more casual. It wraps a bit more around the top of the foot than I like... a little too much shoe. I bought the black/tortoise to wear with a silk tweed pant and something just didn't look right. I bought the leopard skin/camel and they are great with jeans! Very cute!

Way too narrow -
This shoe is gorgeous but it is way too narrow. The straps around the toe area are stiff and exceptionally narrow. I expected the shoe to be a little more comfortable as well but the heel felt hard and not "cushy" like I would expect. I sent them back.

These would be great if they were cheaper. Very cute on my feet and felt true to size, but the heel strap slips the moment I start to walk around. Price point is too high for a shoe like this.

Love the look of this shoe (I bought it in silver)! I'm normally a 6.5W and had to exchange them for 7W. But the 7W fits great, no pinching at the toe area, very comfortable, just the right height.

LOVE THIS SHOE -
I have a long, narrow foot. Plus I have an enlarged toe joint on one foot. In addition, I'm recovering from two broken legs and need a low heel. This makes finding attractive, comfortable dress shoes very difficult. This is one of the prettiest shoes I've seen in a LONG time. Saw the bone with bone patent and the putty with black patent and wasn't sure which would look nicer. When they came, I decided I couldn't part with either one and am keeping both. The heel height is perfect for me. I can wear these all day with no foot, hip, or back pain.

Very cute, but the vamp strap hurts my toes on both sides. Good heel height. I think that they should make the straps from something more soft. This strap is very stiff and just hurts. Thanks Zappos for the return policy. I'll be back!

Perfect Summer Shoe -
Darling shoe. I am a C and they are very comfortable. Because they are leather, they have the "give" that a manmade shoe just doesn't have. I wear Dansko clogs and sandals almost exclusively and have only 2 pairs of dress shoes because my miserable feet swell up every day - both pairs are Van Elis. Buy with confidence. The mother of pearl on the shoe is a beige with multi pearlescence.

I got the beige shoe and it is very chic and different. I usually wear an 8B, but had to send them back and get a FULL size larger. The 9B fits well, so I suggest ordering at least a half size larger. I like the heel height also. I've worn them around the house and so far they are comfortable. I don't know if you could wear them a full day in comfort though. Also, the buttons on the shoes are cute and sexy. They make your feet look great (I have a bunion and not the cutest feet so this is a plus for me). Hopefully the buttons will stay in place as these weren't inexpensive shoes. I liked them so much I decided to take my chances. I loved them in black also but they were sold out! Hope they will be back in stock in the black also. Thanks Zappos -- great service.

A little adjustment needed -
I found these shoes to be pretty comfortable once I made an adjustment to the strap (extra holes for a tighter fit). I did not initially and got blisters. This is not as comfortable as flip flops but a cute shoe. The service at Zappos was great!

Unreal! I've never purchased a pair of shoes that didn't require some "break in" time!!! I bought these for my stepson’s wedding and wore them for 12 hours. That includes dancing time also. WOW! Great pair of shoes thanks so much.
