Nature created human beings barefoot, but evolution has changed the rules. Stonefly's answer to the strenuous life that knows no compromise: the answer is Absolute Comfort. Footwear born of sophisticated technological choices and thus capable of guaranteeing limitless comfort no matter what the place or occasion: in the office, at home, out in a rainstorm, in the height of winter. Stonefly just won't settle for less.
Stonefly was founded in 1993 with the precise goal of introducing a new concept of comfort to city footwear. To reach it, it intertwined creativity with Made-in-Italy quality, experience, research, innovation and a constant eye on the market. To maintain it, Stonefly undertook research, created structures, organized networks and entered joint ventures. Today they have achieved leadership in the international sector of comfort, with a complete range of footwear for men, women and children.
In order for Stonefly shoes to revolutionize the concept of city footwear, it was necessary to establish an unprecedented research project, drawing inspiration from the sporting footwear sector. Principles of anatomy and physiology of the foot, collaboration with designers of international fame, as well as the use of new materials and of avant-garde technologies were the underlying parameters for all Comfort Lab projects, in accomplishing increasingly "fitting" models in line with consumer needs. 5% of Stonefly's annual turnover is invested in research and development.
Designed at the Stonefly R&D department, BluSoft comes from an idea to create a project that can: a) reduce the risk of microtrauma harmful for the skeleton and muscular system; b) limit fatigue through the release of energy after the compression phase, c) improve the gait by reducing the weight and increasing the flexibility of the outsole.
Ongoing refinement of the application of the gel capsule to the bottom of the shoe has allowed Stonefly to design and implement a variety of solutions that adapt very well to an extensive range of footwear.

Zappos does it again! These boots arrived today with the incredible service that we have come to know from Zappos. The boots are beautiful, well made, well priced and above all comfortable!! Like the other reviewer, I am a 9 most of the time and an 8.5 some of the time. I followed her advice and ordered the 39 instead of the 40 and it is perfect. I'll get my moneys worth out of this boot for sure.

These are very comfy sandals. They fit perfectly (same size as all the other Stonefly shoes I have ordered. The buckle at the top is adjustable (if necessary.) The one negative: THEY SQUEAK! It is very strange, but these shoes squeak whenever I walk. Not that noticeable outside, but inside, it does draw attention. Not sure how to fix it.

Not worth the money -
These are very cute shoes; the style might be described as neo-hippie. However, unlike my other Stonefly sandals, which still look good after two seasons of wear, this pair looks tired and worn after less than twenty uses. The blue has worn off completely on the heel and along the edges, and the straps have loosened to the point where the shoe is starting to flop around.

Love these shoes!
Great looking, comfortable shoes. I broke them in working in the classroom, helping out my child's teacher! My one gripe - they're loose in the heels. If you have a narrow heel, these may slip a bit. Definitely sized to be worn with lightweight socks, not just nylons, etc. Also, the outsole where it contacts with the ground is a little narrower than the foot bed, which can give you the feeling of being off balance. Once I realized this, it was easy enough to watch the footing and get used to it, but I wouldn't want to find this out walking on really uneven ground!

I recently got this boot, and though I have not put it to the long day test yet, I expect it to be perfect. The fit is perfect. The quality is so wonderful. I have been looking for this type of boot for 2 years: reasonable heel, with broad enough base for serious walking, perfect smooth leather, with no extra stitching/logos etc. A fine, narrow-ish looking fit, not a round bulky look. A more urban shoe that will work anywhere. There is no zipper, which I love, the goring is soft leather, which makes it smooth yet it conforms to your leg shape. And the height is such, that when you cross your legs, the top edge does not hike up the end of your pant leg, or show skin. As I said--perfect in every way! I found that I went down to a size 39. I usually order a 40, I am a standard 9, a bit on the narrow side. I debated between the 2 pairs, but the 39 just felt like the better fit. Extremely smooth supple leather, which should allow for a bit of adjusting as I wear them!!

I loved this simple shoe and could tell that it would have been prefect for me except that is was very narrow. I have a medium width foot and love the European sizing on this brand. When I tried on the shoe it was narrow and it pinched. I am surprised since many medium width shoes are too wide for me. Sadly, I have to send this shoe back and it was exactly what I was looking for when I travel. If you are looking for a sharp walking dress shoe and have narrow feet try this one on for size. I am sure it will feel great for you.

Found these in a La Jolla, CA shoe store when on vacation. Great arch support and no flip-flop when you walk in them. They stay on the foot very well due to the side support. Look and feel great. Best purchase that I have made in a while!

Sharp Style, Unparalleled comfort -
I still cannot get over how comfortable this shoe is. It is extremely sexy, but feels like a walking shoe! I wish it came in more colors. I purchased the black and then the two-tone beige. I am in real estate sales so I am on my feet often, but have to look well dressed. This shoe is the solution. Please find more styles from this company. This would be a very comfortable shoe if only I could adjust the straps tighter. I have an average, medium width foot. The toe straps on this shoe are too loose. Although the one strap is adjustable, it cannot be tightened because a bulky seam is in the way. The ankle strap needs another hole punched to be tight enough. The look is not strappy and feminine as I expected from the photo. The three toe straps together with the buckle have a bulky look. The leather has a glitzier shine than I expected from the photo, especially the footbed which is a very shiny copper color.

I ordered this shoe to use for extended walking periods, but it is too wide. I got the standard medium width (the only available width for a size 5). The shoe looks well made and the buckle on the shoes makes it look a little dressier, but it runs wide, so I must return the shoes.

I wanted a low white shoe option that didn't look like nursing shoes. These are cute, for sure. However, the toe thong doesn't work for me; it hurts. The leather is pretty in pearlized white, but it isn't white-white, more pearly ivory. Gorgeous, but I wanted true white. The adjustable velcro piece worked fine for me to cinch it to a good fit. For the right person, a lovely shoe.

Beautiful Sandal -
This shoe is a little larger than most size 8s, but in the heat of the summer, I find that they are tight by the end of the day after my feet swell. I got the black patent leather, and I think they're beautiful and practical. They're smart looking with pants or skirts and dressy enough to wear to work. They look pretty on my foot and I've worn them all day with no discomfort. Each foot is its own and these are great with mine.

OMG!! These sandals are soo comfortable, I love them! They are roomy at the toes and I love the style and how they look on my foot. I ordered a 10 1/2 M and they are wonderful. Thanks Zappos for offering so many different brands of shoes. I also own the Only 8 in brown and I love those as well.

...but it came in and didn't feel quite as comfy as I hoped. It runs a bit narrow. The leather is nice and the foot bed is well made, but a bit narrow for me. The arch hit me in the wrong place. Zappos customer service is the best!

This shoe is large and bulky and fits too loose on my foot. Seems 1/2 size larger than marked. The leather upper is stiff and rubs - not very cute on foot either. Not very comfortable. It is very average in looks and comfort, definitely does not match its price tag.

Great walking - working shoe -
This shoe runs a bit big. I am a 6.5 and ordered the 37 which was too big. The 36 was a perfect fit for me. Fits like a glove. I worked 12-14 hours on the first day with shoe. No problems.
