The White Mt. brand began in 1978 in Lisbon, New Hampshire as a small domestic footwear factory specializing in ladies footwear. It has since grown nationally as a provider to women across the United States. White Mt.'s factory location in the rural New Hampshire White Mountains became the source of the brand's name and image. After 26 years in the footwear industry, White Mt. has since developed an office in Wellesley, Massachusetts while still maintaining a home office and distribution center in Lisbon.

Very cute shoe -
A very cute shoe overall. The only drawback is that my left heel keeps flopping out when I walk, even after adjusting the strap. I have to wear a little thicker sock to keep my heel in! I ordered an 8.5 medium. Pretty happy with them overall, good value and quality looks.

Good, solid shoes -
I returned from living abroad for three years to figure out that I did not own a single pair of closed toe shoes. Of course I immediately searched on Zappos and found these cuties. They're great. They run about a 1/2 size too big (I'm normally an 8.5 and I had to return them for an 8), but otherwise I would very much recommend them.

Really like the boot. I now have 4 pair of White Mt. Boots. However, I have found for me in this brand I had to order a 1/2 size smaller. The style is classy and very comfortable. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are the most comfortable shoes. However, they got dirty easily, and after wearing them for one season, I’m not sure if I can continue to wear them next season. However, they are reasonably priced, so I will probably just buy another pair since I loved them so much.

These are very comfy-more then I thought they would be! Could easily dress them up or down. Nice and lightweight and good looking! A smidge more roomy-maybe off a half size bigger-perfect for me tho as I have semi wide feet. Normally am a perfect size 7.

Just what I wanted.
I was looking for a stylish boot, with a higher heel that could get me through a day in comfort... and found it in this shoe. Size is true -- I fluctuate between two sizes and the higher size fits me perfectly. I have a high arch and the stretch on the side keeps the shoe from cutting in.

Cute shoe, soft sole, pointed toe -
I loved this shoe and was sad I had to return it. Let me explain. It is very stylish and cute and would go well with dress pants or jeans. The padding is very soft so that you feel like you are walking on clouds. Easy to walk in, just great. The only thing that made me return it is the pointy toe. It narrows at the toenails more than the picture revealed, and my long toes were curled under. If you can wear pointed or narrow-toe shoes without a problem, then these will be fine for you. But if you have wide or long toes, you might want to look for a squarer toe shoe.

Modern, sporty look -
These are very nice looking shoes. Their soles give them a sporty appearance that makes them look less like old people's shoes, even though they're flat. But they're a bit hard at the heel for me. Also, the metal buckle makes a slight noise almost every time you take a step, which would drive me nuts if I wore them all day.

I love my shoes! These shoes serve a dual purpose for me. I can wear them almost anywhere I go because they are so comfortable and they have style. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who wants to look and feel great, and who enjoys being comfortable. I believe that you should not have to be in pain in order to look good! My shoes fit like a half size smaller though. They fit like a size 9 instead of a size 9.5. I am aware that the return would have been free of charge, but I didn't want to have to send them back. On my next order, I plan to order a size 10, and maybe they will fit me perfectly. Right now, my heels are almost hanging over the edge. I felt that I could get by, since the shoes are made with the heels out anyway. I would recommend Zappos to anyone. It is a comfort to know that you can return your shoes if you wanted to, without any further charges.

A fine shoe for the price -
I now have 3 pairs of this shoe - in black, tan, and pewter. It has the look of a boot when worn with pants and the style is very versatile - casual to somewhat dressy. However, if you do a lot of walking, you may need to add a cushioned insert. It does run a little larger than sized.

Nice comfortable classic loafer. This shoe runs true to size and just hugs your feet. Wore them 10 hours the first day with no problem. One minor item is the end of the leather "penny" strap across the top. The edge of the leather is a bit longer than the stitching and it doesn't fall right. It would be better if that piece were rolled under and then stitched as in other loafers. But the shoes are so comfortable it’s not a big deal.

I wear 8 wide and this shoe fit perfectly. Right from the start it was comfortable – no breaking in. I liked this shoe so much I ordered another pair in rust. I had ordered an 8-1/2 wide just in case this shoe was tight but the 8 wide was perfect. I called Zappos for the exchange policy and was taken care of immediately. I received the 8 wide the very next day. It's amazing how quickly Zappos comes through with their orders.

Adorable, but didn't fit.
I ordered these in size 11, which is actually a half size larger than I normally wear. They got here, and are absolutely adorable and would be perfect except for one problem: they don't zip over my calves. Now I know I'm a big girl, I bike, but in a size 11 they should make the upper part a little larger. So I'm disappointed and am looking for a larger pair.

Love these shoes -
They fit great, and I have a hard time finding shoes. Wide enough, soft, comfortable, although I would not like to take a hike in them. They are really cute with slacks and a sweater. Better than the flats I am always stuck with because I can't wear heels.

I like the style...the comfort is excellent. However, on the tan pair of shoes I purchased (which I wear more frequently than the navy) I have discovered the stitching has unraveled. I will need to take both shoes to the shoemaker to have the stitching reinforced. I didn't expect this problem with this quality of shoe.

This shoe is surprisingly comfortable. I am able to use an orthotic in it and be on my feet for 9 hours/day with less discomfort than usual! I wear it with pants and skirts. I got the bronze color.

2nd pair from White Mountain. Both too wide for me. Very comfortable, but should have sent back the second pair as well. Even with a "ball of foot" insert pad, still too high in the instep.

I love my new Darlene White Mountain shoes. They are very soft and well padded shoes, far more padding than any shoes I've ever had. The heel is just the right height. They stay on your foot when you walk, and there is no back to rub your heel. You can wear them with sporty clothes and with dress clothes. I am so happy a friend of mine recommended them to me. The price is also very reasonable. A great find!

 |  | Your team rocks! On Labor Day (9/1) I ordered two pairs of Hunter boots because I wasn't sure which was going to fit best. First off, I get an email the next day telling me I'm receiving my boots priority. So that day, 9/2, I received my boots – after ordering on a national holiday, no less! I was wowed! I tried on both pairs. The ones that were too small I knew I wanted to return. The other ones looked like they had been worn before. I easily printed the return label/form for the smaller boots. I called customer service for the exchange and they handled it effectively and efficiently. She told me to send back both pairs of boots and a new pair would be sent priority. I assumed she meant after Zappos had received the returns. Nope! In fact, I received the correct boots today, on 9/3. How crazy is that? To order boots on a holiday, 9/1, and have the entire receive-return-receive wrapped up 48 hours later? AWESOME! Thank you for your team's great service. I've ordered before and now am even more of a fan for the service I received when something isn't exactly right. And that telephone recording with you and Serena Williams! Brilliant!
