Several years ago, Caroline started out to pursue her true passion: skincare and cosmetics. Setting out to travel the world with two suitcases, she journeyed overseas by herself in search of skincare innovations and secrets. She applied her eye for innovative yet practical design to the creative medium and most fundamental of all, the art of individual beauty and health. In founding a new approach to skincare, Caroline Chu hoped to share with other women the same feeling of empowerment and confidence she thrived upon.
In several regions of Asia, she encountered a diverse range of approaches to skincare. After visiting numerous spas, she fell in love with the simplicity of traditional skincare methods, using fresh botanicals with no complex chemicals, that were both rejuvenating and extremely affordable.
From simple to elaborate spa treatments and beauty rituals, one thing was for certain, treating yourself well equated to looking and feeling exceptionally beautiful, inside and out. In parts of Europe, her travels soon evolved into researching and developing ideas for her own line of skincare and cosmetics, one that would be the marriage of high quality, naturally-effective ingredients with a reasonable cost to the beauty customer.
She decided that an infusion of more traditional ingredients, such as ginseng, seaweed, white tea, and bamboo, with more advanced natural extracts, would bring women the best of both worlds. Each vibrant shade of her Caroline Chu cosmetics would be the result of all natural minerals—just as nourishing as they are accentuating on the skin.
When she returned to the United States after two years, Caroline Chu Skin Care and Caroline Chu Cosmetics were born.
In creating her unique products, Caroline Chu uses ingredients from all over the world, such as wild chamomile from France, cold-pressed carrot oil from Germany, and naturally omega-3 rich rice, oat, and soy lipoprotein compounds from England.
