Bridgedale™ starts by taking soft wool yarns and wrapping them with a durable microfiber yarn in a process called WoolFusion. This new yarn is then placed in areas of the foot where the most perspiration occurs or where maximum cushioning in needed. The wool yarns quickly absorb the moisture from the skin surface so the microfibers can transport it out of the shoe. Wool is also the best cushioning fiber so it also is placed in areas such as over the instep where protection from lace pressure is needed. The result is drier feet and a more cushioned foot than with other socks.

Anyone who has a small foot knows that socks that fit size 9-11 will need to be rolled over. It is so nice to find socks made for small feet. They are comfortable and well-cushioned. The only thing I don't like about these is that the washing instructions say "no fabric softener" so I have to take them out and finish the load. Hey, for these socks, I will do that!

BEST socks EVER!
I have owned these socks for about 18 years. They are just starting to show wear! I was so excited to see you have them since the place I originally bought them does not carry them any more. THEY NEVER WEAR OUT! They are a little spendy, but they'll outlast any sock. I swore I'd only wear them hiking, but they are for everyday use as well. I'm forever a Bridgedale customer.

Good looks and comfort, wicking acceptable -
I really like the looks and feel of these socks. After a few washes, the socks have a little bit of a "fuzziness" to the fabric. Not like they are falling apart, but it looks like they have a bit of static cling. I air dry them on a rack and never machine dry them. As for wicking/wetness, these are better than cotton, but not as good as Smartwool. For me that matters, so I'm a little disappointed, but if you don't have especially sweaty feet like me, you should be fine.
