Right & Left Socks???
I walk approximately 3-4 miles, 5 days a week. This is not just stroll walking, I work out to aerobic walking tapes. These require a lot of lateral moves. Combined with good workout shoes, you will definitely feel the difference. I truly understand the concept of right and left socks. The cushioning is in the right place on each foot.

Bought these for the runner in my life. She loved the look but did not really notice the difference between these and her 10 buck Nike socks. I think she prefers the Nikes. Oh well. They look really cool.

Nice sock -
This is the best sock I have tried. The only bad part is that two pairs cost about as much as a shoe!
The sock does provide some additional support for the foot, but it's not at the medical level. It is nice to have though.
4 stars due to the price only. Otherwise, 5 stars all the way.

Unbelievable -
Without a doubt, these are the best socks I have ever worn! I'm on my feet 12 - 14 hours a day in a wide variety of terrains and conditions, and this sock keeps my feet cool / warm and very dry. The elastic support throughout its construction is exceptional, and I appreciate the left and right foot specific weaves and markings. It's an expensive sock, but worth every penny. And it's guaranteed! Few are.

Order only if you have big feet!
I wear a women's 8.5-9 shoe (and a 40.5 cycling shoe), and I ordered the smallest size that Zappos carries - supposed to fit women 7-8.5 - and the sock is still an inch too long. I actually exchanged the first set I ordered, because I thought I was sent the wrong size... but the second set was still way too big.
Overall, if you could get these to fit, I believe they would be an excellent sock. Nice supportive feel, nice footbed and toe, I liked the supportive bands on sides of heel, although I'm not sure I'm crazy about the orange flap up the back of the heel. I know it's designed to keep the sock from slipping down Achilles into shoe but I suspect it could feel annoying after a while? Had to return 2 sets, and will only try again when I can actually see/try on a smaller size if they make them.

For Long Patrols in the Desert -
I have ordered socks for a dear friend of mine in Iraq before and I got the same reply: they do not work. I told him it was his problem, chide, or ridicule him for having such bad feet. I was kidding of course, and he would understand that, but I could not leave it alone. He told me they would go out for a week or so on patrol (that is about all he told me) and he had only limited gear - including socks. His feet developed small blisters which is an advanced degree of athletes foot, they were soaked by profuse sweating, and they wet from the moment he put them on his feet.
That was the problem and apparently, the solution was the pair of X-Socks I sent him. It was a painful decision: I was spending over $100 for two pair of bloody sock. That is a lot of money but that is the cost of the X-Static material. A silver lining is always expensive, cloud or no cloud.
What is my report? The socks are awesome and his foot problems are going away. I bought him two pair; I think he owns eight pairs now. These X-Socks are a great piece of gear. Their volume is not too great and they can really take care of your feet.
