Designed and developed by a specialized team within the award-winning Timberland Invention Factory, the new GoLite® footwear line combines three key ingredients: the Invention Factory’s focus on innovation and problem-solving, GoLite’s cutting edge lightweight design ethic and long-standing commitment to the trail running category, and The Timberland Company’s strong footwear development capabilities. The result is a groundbreaking new footwear formula that challenges the way outdoor athletes and the industry think about trail running shoes.
Since the first day they sold the first GoLite product out of a tiny Boulder office, they've been dedicated to offering products for active outdoor pursuits that enable you to embrace new adventures without the burdens of heavy, overbuilt gear. GoLite is the world' leading manufacturer of lite-weight outdoor clothing and equipment, driving product innovation in a wide range of outdoor sports.
As much as GoLite is a collection of trail running shoes, it's a mindset, a mission, a directive, an ideal that infuses every design, concept and idea. GoLite is about freedom. And about going lite on the trail, on the planet, and in one's life.

Heavenly ride -
I have a terrible time finding attractive shoes that fit my feet. The GoLite Cloudburst was a dream fit from the moment I put them on. I am a woman who normally wears a women's 11 but this shoe style in the men's 9/9-1/2 was a wonderful fit with socks. They look great with jeans and since I love slip-on shoes, these really fit the bill. Great comfort and great fit for me.

Good all 'round shoe -
A little odd looking at first. After getting the right inserts in the shoes, they were very comfortable right out of the box. I use them for street walking and forest preserve/rock walking and they held up great! They keep your feet clean and cool. Easy lace up made going through airport lines quick. I can see that they might not hold up for a long time though, the sides are already fraying a little. Would definitely purchase them again.

"Spinning shoe"
I purchased the GoLite primarily for bicycling in warm weather. I liked the airiness of them, sole for catching the peddle, and support for my feet. And the styling and color weren't bad either (gray for men).

It is OK -
Great running shoe. Love the gaiter a adjustable insole, There in no other shoe I know of to offer wide for my right foot and medium width for my left. Very comfortable since day one. Performs very good on steep trails. Would not recommend for off trial. The Gripstick rubber is nowhere close to the stickiness of vibram on all other shoes I use for off trail. I put about 40 miles on them and small parts of the sole are falling off, nothing serious for now, but it is my concern for future.

An otherwise great, comfortable, good-fitting shoe . . . . .
A big fan of the NB M801, even with its huge elastic vamp flaw, I really liked the gismo-like Calamus’ approach to solving that defect. And, the adjustable insole is really cool, and works well. It fits and feels good.
But, my first real outdoor stroll found a major defect in the Calamus’ construction: as I stepped up the ramp from the dock, my foot -and the insole - came sliding right out of the back of the shoe!! This despite having tightened it up for the stroll. Putting weight on the instep just seems to shove the instep backwards, out the heel opening.
Removing the insole for a look, one can see the black nylon-like material covering the sole. No friction for purchase on that surface or on the bottom of the hi-tech adjustable insole. I will add some double-sided tape to secure the insole, but I fear it will be only a temp fix, as the nylon material is loose and will probably stretch, if not tear.
This is an otherwise great shoe, very comfortable, good-fitting with cool, hi-tech features, but failing one of the most basic shoe functions. Why did GoLite’s crew not fix this????

Awesome shoe!
These shoes are fantastic! The most comfortable shoes I've ever worn in my life. You can wear them with socks or just bare feet. It feels like you’re walking around in your socks... actually better! Really! These are great! And Zappos rules!!! The first ones were too small and they rushed me the second pair. Thanks Zappos!

Awesome Shoe!
This shoe is fantastic! If you're looking for a comfortable shoe, look no further. I originally ordered a pair of Tevas and was very disappointed, so took a chance with these and I have been so happy with them. I also have toe problems and these cause no pain to my big toes as they allow for space and at the same time, hold your foot in place for minimal movement. I found they tend to run on the smaller side of the size. This will be a shoe I will reorder!

They will tear apart -
This is the same guy that wrote the 5 star review earlier. This is actually my second pair. I had an earlier pair that tore across the toe box - I dismissed it as a "bad pair" - but now - these same shoes - after 150 miles - are falling apart. Tearing across the toe box, the lace-straps-things are coming off. 150 miles. I really like the look and feel of these shoes - but they don't hold up to standard trail running - unfortunately.

Great trail runners -
I run on fire roads in the mountains of Virginia and they stick like glue on steep slopes. The cleats are positioned so not to hold mud and rocks, so they don’t track mud in the house after the runs. Great support as I'm a 230 pound 7 time Iron Man finisher.

A great all-purpose shoe!
At first I was afraid that the top of these would dig into my ankles, but that hasn't happened. And they are VERY comfortable on my high-arched foot. I took them on a trip and have been walking EVERYWHERE in them. I like their black color because they don't look quite so casual or stand out quite so much. They have molded to my feet so that they REALLY SUPPORT my arch. HOORAY!

Love these shoes. Extremely comfortable with great support. They are even warm enough to wear in the winter in Texas, they are warmer than many of my full coverage tennis shoes and leather shoes even with the open holes on the sides and the heal exposed. I will probably buy more GoLites.

Love the trail fly -
I got these after I wore out a pair of Sun Dragons. I love these shoes. They are tough - they shed dirt (I have had the soles cake up on this really sticky mud one time). I love the lacing, love the materials, and love the toe box! - Great shoe.

Not worth the $
I have a women’s pair of GoLites in the slip-on fashion and wanted to try something more substantial. I wear an 8.5-9 in women’s so ordered the 7-7.5 in men’s thinking they would fit. Way too small for me and not nearly wide enough. They were also a little stiff. For the price of these they should be a little more comfy out of the box.

GoLite Jam² Pack | GoLite Jam² Pack 2008-01-01 09:51:29
Reviewer:Guy F
from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania Overall Rating:
Good for the weight conscious.
Overall, I would have to rate this pack as "ok". The overall design is nice, but it lacks some attention to detail. The lack of a hard framesheet can leave the pack rather round and uncomfortable, especially if you intend on using the optional hydration sleeve and filling the pack to capacity. I ended up having to put my hydration bladder on the top of my load to reduce the uncomfortable bulge against my back. An optional hard framesheet would make this pack a much better piece of gear. Those wanting to shave those few grams could simply remove it… just a thought. Also, I noticed that a few critical high stress areas didn't get the reinforced stitching that they could have used. After having tried several other GoLite products and being satisfied, I felt mildly let down by the lack of refinement I found in the Jam2. I am retiring it to the shelf for now to be used later as strictly a summer bag.

Like wearing slippers -
These are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I was a little nervous when I first tried them on because they were really stiff and I needed to loosen the laces to get them on. Once I wore them a few times, they were fully broken in and felt like a pair of favorite slippers.

I ordered both colors. NO BREAK IN NEEDED. I wear very expensive shoes for comfort and style. These qualify with the utmost! Very comfortable--wish they came in white! Perfect for my narrow instep and high arch--very well made.

Great shoe -
This shoe is a great climber. Running DOWN loose stuff is the only weakness of the shoe. It's the best overall trail running shoe I have found yet. The shim system helps adjust the shoe to your fore foot.
