The Timberland story begins in 1952, when Nathan Swartz buys part of the Abington Shoe Company. He learns how to make shoes, and starts working on ways to make them better. Timberland history was in the making in 1965 when the Swartz family introduced injection molding to the footwear industry and the first truly waterproof Timberland® leather footwear is born.
The Timberland mission is to equip men, women, and kids to make a difference in their world. Timberland does this by creating outstanding shoes, clothes, watches, and other accessories and by trying to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
Timberland is a big company made up of a lot of small parts and incredibly talented people. They make boots, shoes, clothes, watches, and various gear that are comfortable enough to wear all day and rugged enough for all year. The people at Timberland don't rest on their accomplishments. If they did, they’d have only made one waterproof leather boot.

AWESOME SHOE!!! I am a sales manager in the rigging industry and have to go into the warehouse and onto construction sites everyday. I put these shoes on the first time and it felt like I owned them for a while. There is no break in needed. I finally found a shoe that looks professional and I can wear all day without any foot or leg fatigue.

Love 'em.
Tried these and a few others and couldn't be happier. They fit my face really well and I have a narrow, hard to fit face which is surprising since they are unisex. I think they would fit many face sizes. The lenses are awesome. Gave them 4 stars for comfort because they are not super-light, but overall I can wear them for a few hours and they are comfortable.

Comfortable but not for rocky hiking -
I have a very wide foot so my choices are limited when looking for a quality hiking boot. I wore out my last pair from LL Bean and was in a hurry to get a new pair and break them in before hiking in Europe this summer. These boots are delightful comfortable, like a gym shoe. The drawback is that they feel like gym shoes when you are hiking. If you hike on dirt packed paths or forest paths covered in leaves and pine needles then this is a great boot. The sole is very soft and will conform to whatever you step on. I'm a fairly strong hiker and these were murder to wear on the rocky trails of Arizona and the Italian Alps. I tried putting in sole supports to stiffen the sole. It helped but the boots just aren't made for rugged hiking. I threw mine away after completing a two day hike in Italy. Very comfortable but not a "hiking" boot.

I've gotten all sorts of compliments on these sandals; they're perfect with just about anything black, dressy or casual. Comfortable now, but did need a breaking-in. True to size for a me, a very typical 9M.

This sandal is exactly what I was looking for. I have a narrow width foot and they fit better than I expected. In fact, I previously wore a fisherman sandal, which was made in a narrow width and I think I could have fit 2 of my feet in there. I concluded maybe this is as good as it gets, but then I tried one which adjusts better to one's foot - this one. It was just what I was looking for. Now, let me rave about Zappos. I ordered the shoes at 2pm on the Memorial Day holiday. Free of charge, Zappos overnighted the shoes to me and got them out that day. I received the shoes at 9am the next day. Great selection, great availability, no sales tax, free shipping, less than 24 hour delivery! Can you do any better than that?

Feel pretty good, but: DO NOT WORK IN THEM -
Shoes looked great out of package. Looks like a mix of a dress shoe and a work boot. I loved these shoes until I started to wear them and they started to come apart. The leather on the toe of the shoe will tear with great ease. A dog was walking by me and stepped on them which caused huge gashes in the shoe. Leather then began to just wear away around other places of the shoe that came in any contact with ANYTHING and especially at the top of the shoe where the ankle is. The minor act of walking in these shoes has caused the ankle to wear away. I am not rough in them but they appear to have been through hell.

Don't Bother With 'Wide' Width -
I ordered a wide shoe and needless to say had to return it. The width is truly a medium. I don't have an overly wide foot, so, I was surprised and disappointed because the shoe is super cute otherwise.

Extremely Comfortable -
These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn! I have had Timberland Pro boots before, but nowhere near as comfy as these. I have an odd shaped foot and they are perfectly wide and have great arch support. It feels like I'm walking around barefoot on very soft carpet.

Wide shoe needed for casual wear - Very comfortable and true to size at 13W. I have a 12EEE foot, so finding shoes that fit are tough. Only issue is the canvas lining rolling up under the toes. Otherwise, a good shoe and value.

First thing I would like to thank Zappos.com for the fastest shipping I have ever seen. It was literally shipped on Monday morning and it came at my house Monday afternoon. I have been looking for a good pair of boots and I came across these. Some of the reviews made me re-think at first but I decided to buy them anyways. I work 10 hour shifts and after about the 2nd day they were already broken in. The more I wear them the more comfortable they get. If anybody thinks these boots are heavy then they shouldn't be wearing boots at all because these are pretty light weight. After buying the black ones I want to buy another pair just for outside of work activities due to its comfort and durability.

So cool looking!
Just wished they were comfortable - no padding, no arch support and the strap between the toes hurt. So I have to return these. They are very light-weight though. Zappos has the greatest service around!!! I kept 2 out of the 5 pair I ordered and because of the free return shipping, it's no problem! Love it.

These are by far, the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn! From day 1, right out of the box! This is my second pair!!! I bought them just to put in the closet, for whenever my first pair wears out. I've had my first pair over a year now, and they show very little wear. I wear them all the time, around town, in the woods, everywhere! They look great, they're comfortable. Who could ask for more!?

I am 100% satisfied with these shoes. It is as if they were custom made. I am particularly fond of the cushioned insole and lining used in these shoes. The shoes are extremely comfortable and my feet love them too. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good-looking, stylish driver.

A great sandal...
...and of all the shoes out there, Timberlands fit me the best, as if they use my foot as a model! But this sandal has to go back, though comfortable, because it is too much money for this particular shoe. Too bad! The leather straps were not as substantial as I am used to seeing on Timberland workmanship.

I found the size right on. I have a wide foot and this shoe has a wide toe box and the overall length is sized correctly. There was almost zero break-in period. They are a good everyday casual shoe. The overall durability seems ok but time will tell. They are much better than a driving shoe for walking.

Cute Summer Sandal -
I needed a white sandal for summer, but I do not like the look of a lot of white on a shoe. This shoe fit the bill. The sandal is well made and comfortable, and the amount of white is "just enough". I would definitely purchase this sandal in other colors if they had them in my size.
