The Teva-lution began in 1982, on the raging rapids of the Colorado River, when Mark Thatcher invented the first sport sandal. It was a simple idea that birthed a new industry. Selling his first pairs out of the back of his van to friends and fellow boaters along the river, Mark named his new business Teva, which means ‘Nature’ in Hebrew.
Since the creation of Teva over 20 years ago, their team has been providing authentic, outdoor performance footwear; it’s what they live for. I ordered these boots and I must say that I was a little apprehensive at first because; I never purchase shoes on line (I like trying them on to see how they feel first) but, I thought, well what do I have to lose with free shipping both ways. Once I received them and tried them on I just love them they feel great on my feet and most of the guys in my office want to know where I got them, they want to order them a pair also. I would defiantly recommend these boots to anyone who may be hiking or other out door activities.

Despite the zipper going all the way down to the sole, I found it hard to get these on. They soles are very soft and comfortable, but I would need a little more arch support.

Comfortable walking shoe -
I wanted a non-tennis shoe for walking in the winter and ended up with this new style from Teva. I ordered a size larger because I want to be able to put a thick sock on and because the shoe doesn't come in a wide width. That seems to have worked out perfectly ... with a thick winter sock it is like walking in a bedroom slipper. Very comfortable. It will get a good test next week when I do some long walks in Colorado.

Great walking sandal -
I did not believe the advice to order a half size down and got my regular size first. Although the shoe didn't look much too big, there is a stiff piece on the inner side of the shoe that hit me in the wrong place. I ordered a half size smaller and now it hits me in exactly the right place (and I no longer feel it). They were comfy right out of the box. I wore them to walk a mile as soon as I received them and I have gotten no blisters. My only complaint is that the velcro strap is not quite long enough, so some of the velcro shows beyond the end of the strap. Not a huge complaint, but my feet are not weirdly sized, so I bet this is true for a lot of people.

Great walking shoe - comfortable right out of the box. I was expecting more arch support but the heel is well cushioned and springy. Seems wide through the toes, which I like because they accommodate thicker hiking socks, but short in length. Thanks to Zappos incredible customer service policies, I was able to exchange for another pair a half size larger than my normal size.

I have had the Elixer 3 for several years, and was very disappointed in the "new model." It does not have the cushy layer that the Elixer 3 had, which made it so comfortable.

Great shoe - These are incredibly comfortable shoes! I usually buy more expensive shoes because I need the arch support, but these cork soles mold to my feet and I can walk in them for hours without discomfort. I now own 4 pairs of Tevas and I plan to buy more.

These shoes are very comfortable, light weight and water proof. The fit is true to size and can be adjusted for tightness. I recommend these shoes for active in and out of water areas.

Very Nice! This is a really good looking shoe, and it fits perfectly with no socks. However, as I have short, fairly wide feet, I couldn't get it on my foot even with a light sock. I wouldn't wear this style sockless, especially in winter. I would love to try these beautiful shoes in a half size larger if that size becomes available. It seemed as though they would be really comfortable.

Best sandals on the market. Teva Pretty Rugged Leather 2 are awesome and they fit great. And I have an 11 shoe. I can walk for hours in them with no problem. I have flat feet and these give great support.

Comfortable and durable - I was looking to replace my 10-year-old leather Tevas and these were the closest match. They are a bit more outdoors-y than I wanted, but they are comfortable and durable. They are pretty stiff and need some breaking in, but they are supportive and well padded.

Attractive but not so rugged -
I was looking for to replace my 10-year-old leather Tevas that I wear on the walk between my parking ramp and the office. I wanted something that didn't look too outdoorsy and would be respectable with work attire. The cork base and thin leather straps of this shoe work well for this situation. I really like these shoes, but I don't think they are nearly as durable as my old ones. The sole and the inside "lining" have already started to wear down a bit. And I don't know how well they would do in water. But they look more feminine and "dressy" so I'm happy. They are pretty flat with not much padding, so, again, I wouldn't recommend them for outdoorsy activities.

Cushy sandal - Klutzy looking and a little difficult to adjust the fit each time you put them on. Very comfortable arch support for flat feet. Lots of cushioning. Grips when wet.

I first read about these sandals on a Disney discussion forum. As I was going to Disney shortly I ordered a pair. I can honestly say that these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are better than any sneakers I ever had. If you need comfortable walking sandals, this is it.

My arthritic feet love these! These sandals have the very sturdy sole I need and were comfy right from the start. No break-in period needed. They seem very durable and comfortable and adjust in 2 places for a perfect fit. I highly recommend these as comfort sandals.

I purchased these shoes through Zappos.com to take on a trip to Italy. I wore them at home before my trip and they were so comfortable! In Europe they were the most comfortable shoes I could have taken. I wore them everywhere. They were a great purchase and Zappos.com representatives were so easy to work with. I ordered the shoes one day and had them delivered to my home the next day. I would recommend this site and the Tevas to anyone looking for a good pair of walking shoes.

Excellent all around sandal! I've worn these sandals almost every day since I got them mid-July. They're comfortable enough for short fitness walks, and walking around Las Vegas on hot cement for 3 days. If I wear these sandals, I know my feet will be comfortable all day. The styling is versatile enough to wear with skirts, shorts or pants, and they can look reasonably dressy. The cushioning in the sole between the cork and the EVA puts a nice little spring in my step. My feet are flat and fairly narrow so the straps don't fit tightly (nor too loose). But I can buckle the ankle straps so they're very stable. Enough arch support to support my feet but doesn't dig into my arch. I wear orthotics with closed shoes. It's rare for me to find a sandal that feels this good. Lightweight too. LOVE THESE!

This shoe is comfortable. I didn't break it in much and then spent 2 weeks tromping around Mexico in it. It's not the most adorable sandal I've ever seen, but that allows for some decent ankle support. It has good arch support and provides some of the best shock absorption ever. It washes VERY well. I took a big old scrub brush and some laundry soap to the tops, bottoms, and insides, and they look just like new. I highly recommend this shoe if you don't want your shoes getting in the way of your fun!!!

The straps on the forefoot were too long and stuck out on the side. I had bought the same shoe 6 years ago and it wasn't like that. I paid a seamstress to fix it for me.

The most comfortable sandal - This is my 3rd pair in 10 years. I wear them all summer long and they last forever. I only needed to order another pair because I spilled nail polish on the last ones! They are super comfortable, rugged for anything and look great with everyday and casual wear. This sandal is a must for any and all vacations.
