Made in Italy since 1929
Guiseppe Zamberlan (also known as “Bepi” for short), is the mastermind behind Zamberlan footwear. He began his career repairing shoes, which in turn developed into a career of making finely crafted boots. His passion for the trekking and the outdoors, led him to search for better materials and more efficient construction methods of boot making to satisfy his need for ‘safer and easier’ movement throughout the mountains.
Zamberlan boots are quality tested for durability and performance. The Zamberlan company, which is situated at the foot of the Piccole Dolomiti, is an ideal testing ground for new products and ideas. It is within these mountains that new ideas for top quality boots are created and cultivated.
So after nearly 80 years of boot manufacturing, the Zamberlan Company is still a family run business, with the third generation actively taking part in all stages of design and production. At Zamberlan, they remain dedicated to their hand made boots and believe they will carry you well throughout your journey.

Tennessee to Alaska -
Living in the mountains of Tennessee, we hike often and going to Alaska on vacation in June were the two reasons I decided to buy this shoe. It is wonderful. Great look - comfortable and good fit. Do buy smaller than you would think. I am usually an 8 1/2 and bought an 8 and it fits perfectly. I have not gone to Alaska yet but I have been wearing this shoe hiking and it is a winner.

So sad -
I am so sad that my feet are not happy with this shoe. I really tried to talk my feet into accepting the shoe, but in the end, they convinced me it was not in their best interest. The “issue” is my very narrow heel which would not stay snugly put and thus warned me of likely blister problems. I would also add that it would be a great shoe for pronators, but NOT for supinators.

I've had different & popular brands of hiking boots. I went through the fitting where I purchased the boots. Every time I went hiking I never came home without a blister. After months of research & near purchase of another brand, I came across the Zamberlan at Zappos while searching for another pair of shoes. Because of Zappos excellent service I couldn't lose. I have worn these shoes snow shoe hiking in the Sierra's & a 13 mile hike approximately 7 miles cross country on Tejon Ranch. We went through some pretty tough terrain & I didn't have the slips I have experienced in my previous hiking boots. My feet felt wonderful. This is nothing like I have ever experienced. Absolutely, no blisters or hot spots. The next day I was able to run my Sunday morning 4 miles. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

The shoe grabs my left heel and is uncomfortable. I hope it goes away after a while, other then that the shoe is great. It is a good looking shoe. My daughter even likes it.

Color on website is not representative -
I love Zamberlan shoes and have bought many pair. I have to return these because the color is very different than shown on the website - the website is browner and richer... the shoes are more taupe-colored. I've checked on 3 computers and same issue, so it's not my video card! Other than that, great shoes.

A shoe to walk around the world!
First time buying Zamberlans. No break-in time, was comfortable from the moment I laced it up. I have only worn them around town and one afternoon hike. No blisters or hot spots. The lacing to the toe allows you to adjust each foot to your liking. The only negative comment: I ordered the color "Truffle", looked like dark tan... outside it looks like "olive green".

Squeaky boot!
Heavier than I imagined, and incredibly noisy- no way to hike in quiet. Comfort OK, workmanship looks good. Needs insoles.

Very disappointing -
I purchased a pair of the Zamberlan boots skill GT on 1-2-08. I had never purchased the boots before but decided to try something new and I have been very disappointed. The boots have already started to fall apart, soles have started to detach along the front, leak water, and shoelaces have already needed to be replaced (small thing). I think people need to be aware of what a disappointment my new boots have been.

OMG! The COMFORT!
I've tried many different brands of sneakers/walking shoes over the years and it was just by luck that I found this brand on Zappos.com. Boy Oh Boy am I glad I ordered!! These are the most comfortable shoes period I think I've ever put on, and I can hardly wait to start training for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's Marathon in them. I bought them in a half size smaller than I normally wear, and the fit is perfection. I ordered the most brightly colored pair made, and I just adore them, esp. in the gloomy Spring weather outside. They were a splurge, but I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat! You get what you pay for.

Excellent shoe -
This is a great shoe for someone looking for 3/4 height work wear. I wear shorts to work in the summer, and this waterproof boot fits the bill without being too tall like some of the other work boots out there. The only thing I would change is the height of the arch support. I have to put insoles in most all of my shoes for additional support, so this is not out of the ordinary for me. Over all I am very happy with the Napo.

These shoes rock!
I work outside in the northwest. These shoes keep my feet comfortable and dry all day, every day. They are lightweight and stylish as well. I highly recommend these for outside work or recreation.

If you do not own a pair of Zamberlan shoes, you don't know what you are missing. Bought my first pair of Crest XCR recently. I have never had a shoe that is so comfortable. Expensive yes, worth it yes.
Zappos came through with exceptional service as always. Five Star all the way.

Ok, yeah, they cost some money, but wow, you are getting your money's worth with these boots. These boots are by far some of the most comfortable and well fitting boots I have ever worn in my entire life. I ooooo'd and aaahhhh'd after trying on North Face and Columbia, because these felt absolutely divine. They were definitely true to fit in every way for me. I wear an 8.5 regular, have a wide toe box, and a slightly narrow heel, and these fit me like a glove, even with two pairs of socks on. I would recommend these to anyone. Fantastic boots. Absolute luxury. Spend the extra money and I guarantee you won't regret it. And if I sound like I am nuts it is because I have the hardest time finding shoes to fit my feet comfortably, and these are like heaven for me.

Comfort and Construction - Well Made Boot -
This boot had maximum comfort; however, my heels were swimming in these. This is not the case with every pair of Zamberlans though. Others I tried on fit great. So, if you have a standard ankle or are thick in the ankles go with these. If you have slightly narrow ankles like I do, you may want to try their Cristallo or Icelandic boots instead. Also, these run true to size so do NOT order them a half size larger or anything like that. They are made to fit your feet, even with two pairs of sock on.

Amazing Comfort -
These boots are superior in terms of comfort, construction, and design to everything else I have tried on. They definitely ran true to size (you don't need to go up half a size to get thick socks into these). The only problem I had was that my ankles were swimming in them, particularly the left.

Oh so comfortable -
These shoes form to your feet while still putting your feet in proper position for walking. I'm going to be sad when it gets too warm out in the spring to wear these anymore. The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! They keep your feet dry without making them too hot. They also accommodate orthotics.

Love these!!
I was more than a little skeptical ordering shoes online, obviously because comfort and fit is a major factor in any footwear purchase. I love these boots! They are so comfortable, warm and very well made. I am impressed with fit, arch support, craftsmanship and overall look. I do a lot of walking in undeveloped areas with my job, and these are my new everyday work shoe.

Almost perfect -
Beautifully made except for a wrinkle/blister on each shoe's toe box. Excellent materials, good workmanship and last, well cushioned yet stable, and promotes a healthy stride. At the forefoot, they felt a little narrow out the box, but, after a short while they felt perfect and have thus remained. At the end of the day, feet and lower leg are not tired; these shoes seem to want to go. The Java is perfect for my intended use: day hikes, and only pair when traveling.
I received them quickly, and I am pleased both, with Zappos and Zamberlan.
Quick comment, Meindl boots are also great, maybe you should carry them.

The boot feels true to size but I take 11.5 and bought 12.I remove their sock liner and replace it with an energize foot pad for ultimate comfort and the boot weighs the same 1.5 pounds. Running shoes wear out on the bottom at 300 to 400 miles. I expect to buy a pair of hiking boots from Zappos every year. Have fun out there.

I took these snowshoeing for 3 hrs the first time I even put them on my feet. THEY WERE PERFECT! I was dry, cozy and cushioned. No breaking in needed, lots of stability, too. I'm an overpronator and these were all the support I needed.

A true hiker that's fun to wear and fashionable as well.
I was drawn to these because they are Zamberlans (so I'm pretty sure of the quality to start with) and have a fashionable look. There was no disappointment in anyway as far as the construction or the fit. They feel great. Solid and snug with a roomy toe box and very good impact absorption in the heel. Can't go wrong with Zamberlan. I like to use a New Balance Pressure Relief insole in all my boots no matter the brand because I like the cushy feel and the stock insoles are too thin for my liking. These boots are good as everyday footwear.
