In 1977, after many long years being kept a close secret, Saucony men’s shoes and Saucony women’s shoes were recognized by a small group of serious runners and received an award given by a US magazine. Stemming from that day, Saucony shoes and Saucony clothes have built a reputation for high quality and innovative technical performance for which it is known today.
Four years later, the Saucony Jazz O, the most popular Saucony (now Saucony Original) shoe to be made, was launched and in 1991, Saucony shoes offered a midsole comprising both cushioning and stability-GRID® resulting in Saucony men’s shoes and Saucony women’s shoes delivering a superior ride.

I got these in the silver/gray, and I CANNOT be happier! What a great alternative to the overdone, dragged out NB 574s. Since I wear an 11.5 in women's, I got the men's 10, and they fit perfectly. I swear they make my feet look smaller! The tiniest downfall is they are kind of stacked, which is kind of annoying if you aren't into that look. However, overall they are INCREDIBLE.

Good shoes for my kind of feet - I needed a good amount of stability and I only buy Saucony shoes, so I used the running hotline on Zappos to help me figure out what I needed. These are extremely supportive, in such a way they take a few wears to break in. The first few times I ran in them I actually felt like I was working harder and my calves got sore, but they are very cushioned in the ball of my foot and keep me from rolling inward. They do their job. Although I've only worn them a few times, they also seem like they will be very durable and hold up during very high impact exercise, although I only plan on wearing them for running. One other thing- I wear a 7.5 regular shoes, and I got a size 8, but I always do that with workout shoes.

Excellent arch support, excellent sole for wear, and not nearly as cushioned or comfortable as several other shoe competitors. Better than Saucony Grid Cohesion, comparable to New Balance WR 805 and New Balance WR858. I hosted a running shoe, 'fit-test' party. Six other women tested and believed this shoe to be comparable to NB WR 805 and NB WR 858, in terms of comfort and cushion (some said better, some said worse). It was unanimous though that New Balance and Saucony were far inferior, in terms of cushion, comfort, and fit, to Adidas, Nike, Mizuno, and Asics. Least to best, and all neutral or underpronator running shoes, are Saucony Grid Cohesion NX W, Saucony Progrid Jazz 12, Adidas Duramo W, Adidas Supernova Cushion 7W, Nike Pegasus 25, Mizuno WaveRider 11, and most comfortable, cushioned shoe of all, Asics Gel Nimbus 10. Each of these shoes may have their pros and cons about 'breathability,' 'durability,' and 'looks,' but in terms of Comfort and Cushion, the Asics were definitely a winner. Main problem with the Asics Gel Nimbus 10 is that it runs narrow, so many preferred the Mizuno WaveRider 11, even though it was less cushioned. As for Saucony, they feel great until you try on other brands.

The perfect fit and feel. This running shoe fits perfectly compared to the New Balance running shoe. It feels comfortable and doesn't look too bulky like the New Balance running shoe. It is compatible to the Mizuno Wave rider running shoes. Be careful about New Balance running shoes because they are made large. Get one size smaller to be on the safe side. Sauconys might not be as popular or have the name recognition, but it's well made and I highly recommend it.

Good stabilizer shoe -
After reviewing Saucony's website and using their shoe guide to decide which shoe to purchase, I chose the Saucony ProGrid. Nice stabilization for my overpronation, and my orthotics fit well into it. Would like more color choices, but this was a better choice than the ultra-stabilization shoe (a boring blue and white).

My first pair of Saucony (after 10 years of running!) -
Because I have an unusual size (5-1/2 wide) I have worn New Balance only for the past 10 years. I always thought they were the only running shoes to come in wide widths. I was absolutely thrilled with my new Saucony... they were the most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn. I'll never go back to New Balance.

These sneakers are a lot of fun to wear. Not your typical everyday look... comfortable. I am on my feet at work all day and normally wear running sneakers therefore I had a high standard for the Saucony Original. Very happy with my purchase.

Comfy from the moment I stepped inside -
My new sneakers arrived today and from the moment I stepped into them they were perfect. I'm very happy with my first pair of Saucony shoes. A co-worker has a pair and from all of the reviews that I read here, I thought I would give them a try. I'm so glad I did. They fit true to size for me.

Great Casual Shoe -
This is a great break from wearing flats at work. They are subtle enough that I can wear them with khakis. The shoe is super comfy and I find that I live in them most weekends. I normally buy a 9 in Saucony running shoes, but the 8.5 is just right in the casual shoe.

These shoes are made for walking - I am a diabetic and I needed a good walking shoe that has comfort and support. I looked up on consumer reports recommendations of a good walking comfort shoe and they suggested this shoe and as usual they were right. I put the shoe on and wore it all day long. I can recommend this shoe. The size seemed to run true to size. There was a big toe box. I wear my arch supports in the shoe and they work fine.

Love my Sauconys - I have worn Sauconys for running exclusively. The ProGrid Triumph 5 is just as comfortable as the 4 was. Feels a little stiffer, but that did not detract.

Great walking shoe - I know this is sold as a running shoe, but I bought it for walking and am very happy with it. Lots of arch support, good ventilation, cushioned enough for a long day on my feet. I also love the dark grey color. Saucony shoes are great for my overpronating large (size 12) feet, but they don't make a lot in darker colors and I don't always want to be in a white running shoe. These can be worn with darker pants and jeans without looking obvious.

These are great old-school style shoes that I purchased for OSU football tailgating. They are very comfortable for walking (my feet got a little sore after standing a while) and they are very true to size. Great colors!
