This is a great shoe for someone who doesn't like to tie things, but doesn't want it to look babyish either. It runs narrow which is great for my family, but might not work for everybody. In fact, the Lacoste brand runs narrow across the board and that's a huge part of why we use it. And it's stylin'! Clean lines.

AWESOME BOATS -
I was looking for typical boat shoes but couldn't find the right one until I tried the youth section. These immediately caught my sight, they look the exact same as you see them on here. Actually, they are CUTER!!! I ordered them in the afternoon on Monday, and got it Tuesday afternoon. It didn't even take 24 hrs! Zappos is the only website I buy shoes online, you guys are awesome. So yea, if you're hesitating whether or not you should get this super sweet Lacoste Shakespeare 2, definitely get it. You won't regret it. You can wear them without socks, even on the first fit cuz the back part is cushioned. I usually wear a 7.5 women’s, and I got a 5.5youth and it fits perfectly.

Cute!
My daughter LOVES these shoes, but I have to agree with other customers, they do run narrow. I had to go a size up for her because the velcro didn't close all the way on the first pair. Now they are a little long, but she'll grow into them. She can run around in them fine although they are a little big... at least the velcro will close! Great quality shoe and adorable in pink!

Not very durable -
I bought these for my 5 yr old daughter to wear to pre-k. First of all, they are cut very narrowly like most European shoes are, so if your kid has wide feet like mine, they will probably not be very comfortable. My daughter was complaining of blisters after the second wearing. They also scuff very easily at the toe and after being worn only about 5 times, they already look ratty and old. If your child is active at all, I would recommend something more durable like Lelli Kellys.
