I love this sandal! The adjustable Velcro strap across the top of the shoe keeps this shoe "close" to your foot without all the "flopping around" other leather sandals do when the leather stretches out. I also have "long toes" and this sandal has "white space" beyond my toes without my toes hanging over the edge. Great job, Rockport! Please make more shoes with adjustable arch straps. And, Zappos provides outstanding customer service!

Not my type -
I was really looking forward to these sandals arriving -but I have to say I was not impressed by their appearance. I thought the leather quality in black was not great considering the price (it almost looks fake to me). The heel height was not quite high enough to look elegant, not quite low enough to look breezy and casual - just looked kind of clunky on my foot. My pinky toe was on the verge of sliding of the footbed. Happily, I found other shoes in my order to fit my needs. I am very impressed with Zappos overall - they are my fav new shoe store!

Nice shoe at first. I reviewed this shoe earlier, Keith F from Texas. Here it is a mere 6 weeks after. The tread is almost gone, and the shoe is actually falling apart. Some of the ridge that goes around the bottom of the shoe has broken and fallen off. The shoe no longer looks professional. Don’t bother with this one, it is not a quality product.

Had to return them!
I loved these shoes at first but after wearing them 3 times, the tops stretched so much that my foot was coming off the edge for the footbed. I found that wearing these for a few hours also hurt where the knot hit my foot. A beautiful sandal that unfortunately, I had to send back as defective to Rockport. They were kind enough to let me have a different pair.

Comparison to Dunham -
Thought I would give Rockport a shot after wearing Dunhams for so long. This shoe while looks are fine it has some faults. Although true to size its a little light weight for comfort all day long on a concrete floor. Not enough padding and support, had to replace with something heavier.

Shoe looks good. Silver is hot. Comfortable for the most part. The top, where the leather twists, bothers me if I wear them for a long period. Only on one foot, so maybe it's just me. The sole is extremely comfortable.

I'm completely satisfied with these shoes. I hate dressing up, but these shoes look great with suits and business casual alike, and they don't punish the feet for looking good. I have a pair of ECCO shoes that look much the same from the outside, but are substantially less comfortable.

The comfort and fit of this shoe is unbelievable as well as the quality of leather and workmanship. However, the front of the shoe, for some reason, makes my already small feet look even smaller. Being a petite-sized middle school teacher, I am very self-conscious of wearing any shoes that make my feet look significantly smaller than most of my students. (If I can help it!)

I have a long narrow foot (13) but have to wear orthotics, so I have to order a wide shoe. I find the most comfortable shoes with style are Rockport rubber soled dress shoes in XW (4E) width for me. They wear well, even with the orthotics pushing out on the sides. The leather at the welt has never given way on any of the pairs I own. They last forever and I replace them because of aesthetics and not because they wear out. This pair was typical of the others and I would certainly buy this pair again.

Best Boat Style Shoe Ever!
Worn many boat style shoes, forget the "Boat" part, these are just great casual shoes. Literally feels like you’re wearing slippers and walking on a pillow. Best quality "real" leather I've seen in any casual shoe. Soft yet thick. You may pay a bit more for these but there is no comparison to any other boat/casual shoe. Few extra bucks very well spent. Highly recommended.

Classic Rockport - soft & broken in out of the box - quality made. As comfortable & light as any shoe could be! I personally would not wear these with a suit, but are excellent with Dockers style pants. A dressed up casual of sorts. Dockers, even jeans. Margin has been around awhile, Rockport, do not stop making this. Highly recommend.

Not suitable for orthotics -
The removable insole in this shoe is just a center “island”. All around the edges remain at the original footbed height. Therefore, the orthotic does not rest in the bottom of the footbed and it sticks out higher than the back of the shoe.
