Wonderful shoe!
My friend told me about these shoes and thank goodness she did! These shoes are worth every penny, they are classy, comfortable, and look good with both dressy and casual clothes. There was no breaking in time - I took them out of the box and wore them for 11 hours straight. Great shoe - I plan on getting another pair in a different color.

A very comfortable good-looking boot -
The reviews for these boots were somewhat mixed, so I figured I had to order them myself and see. Well, I'm quite pleased. The soles are VERY flexible, which is a fabulous surprise in a boot. I like the leather (I'm picky about leather texture!), I like the color and the styling... I've already had several people complimenting them, and it's only been one week! I've worn them all day with no discomfort. (So I haven't had to play with the insert or remove it) The only thing I'd say is that the ankle is narrow. My feet are narrow, and it's a snug fit on me. Maybe not the best if you have wide feet.

Great shoes!
I was looking for a shoe with a wide toe box, good arch support, and some style. This shoe does it! The shoes are really light and offer great support. After standing for hours and walking long distances, my feet feel great. Based on other reviews, I got a half size smaller than usual, and they fit like a glove.

Expected better from a German company -
These boots have an appealing modern design, but they feel insubstantial in person. The uppers are very thin; really don't look like leather, and the stitching at the top looks cheap. I'm on my feet all day at work and there wasn't enough support here. The toe box is quite narrow, and since they're not leather, I can't hope to break them in. So alas, I have to fork over for the better quality of Pliner's Naos2. Same heel height, better materials. My feet deserve it!

Great looking shoe. Would have been good for my damaged feet. It seemed very supportive and my orthotics fit well. But the heel was so loose and slid up and down so much, it pulled my socks all the way down. So, this shoe is not for anyone with narrow heels.

A great shoe from Rieker. Very comfortable from the first time I wore it. The toe box has plenty of room. I wore this shoe for the first time while visiting Seattle and I was really surprised how comfortable it was. I had taken another pair of shoes with me just in case these did not work out but I never had to change shoes. I also got lots of compliments on the style. I was able to wear this shoe with nylons or socks. Many thanks to Zappos for getting this shoe to me before I left on vacation. I have bought many shoes through Zappos and have never been disappointed by their service. They are the BEST

This is a winner! I have constant pain in my toes and finding a boot that slips on easily and is comfortable to wear has been very difficult...until now! The contrast white stitching is very flattering along with the cute heel (which isn't too low or high.) Good fit around my calves - looks great with jean, slacks or skirts. Everyone should own a pair... wish they came in brown too!!

Fits me great - I'm a 7.5 or 38 but when the other reviews said it ran large I thought I'd better order the 37 as well, just in case. The 38 fit perfectly after all. It's a very nice shoe, lightweight, comfortable, I wore it all day on concrete floors with no problems. Looks great with jeans and slacks and very nicely made. I did get a tiny bit of heel slippage the first day but not anymore.

Gorgeous boot!!! These boots are not only absolutely beautiful, they are so comfortable you could wear them all day long and into the evening. The brown is a rich reddish brown and the leather is soft and supple. Although the fit runs maybe less than a 1/2 size large that leaves enough toe room when wearing with socks.

I love these sandals, although I wished they lasted a little longer. The first pair I bought in May of 2007 only made it to August 2007 due to manufacturer defect and was replaced by Rieker corporate. The replaced pair has lasted through the summer 2008, but are starting to lose beads and are stretched out a bit. Overall the most comfortable and supportive sandals I have ever worn and I just bought another pair for next summer.

I love this boot. My right foot is paralyzed but not the ankle, and I can skinny into this boot. I thought my boot days were over. It is great with the lower heel otherwise it wouldn’t work. I ordered a size smaller and they fit fine, maybe even a tiny bit large, but comfortable. The brown toe looks classy. I think it adds European dimension. I am going to order the brown.

Although I have only walked around my house with them I can tell they are going to be one of my favorites. No pinching or rubbing. That is a major plus for me since I can tell right off if the shoe is going to hurt me. They also look pretty cool with shorts or slacks.

Saw this shoe in a specialty shoe catalog especially for foot troubles. Well, first I needed to look at the GREAT Zappos site, and I knew their service would be utmost first. They had this shoe. It is so comfortable and has an extremely cushioned instep, that you feel like you are walking on a cloud. No heel discomfort while these are on my feet. Like the look too, very European! The Rieker Susan is a handsome shoe, but would not sustain one's feet on a long day of travel walking. The do not have much arch support and have a thin sole. One benefit is that since they are somewhat large, my orthotics fit well into them. I would never take them on a trip to Rome.
