Shannon interned in the publicity department of Calvin
Klein, N.Y. following her junior year at the
University of North Carolina, where she studied Public Relations. Upon graduation, Shannon moved to New York City, where she worked for shoe designer, Patrick Cox. She quickly realized that she had a passion for fashion and especially footwear. She took her next step, heading up the publicity department for footwear and accessories at DKNY. In 2002 Shannon went back to school to earn an advanced degree in footwear design form the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA. Upon graduating Shannon and her identical twin sister, Shelby, launched Shannon Britt Shoes, a footwear company which creates shoes dedicated to the evening and bridal markets.
The backbone and “go to gal” in the Company is twin
sister, Shelby Britt Miller. Her extensive business
expertise has been vital in developing the Company’s
unique business concept. Shelby brings her business
acumen to the company as well as playing a significant
role in the casting of their “celebrity feet”
following. Shelby has an extensive background in the
film industry, working with some of the best in
television and motion pictures. Shelby has brought her
vast array of experiences along with her work ethic of
“love, persistence, and the honor to do well” to
Shannon Britt Shoes.
The Shannon Britt Shoes tag line is “may your feet be
dressed well”. Shannon and Shelby are of the belief
that if you love your shoes you will want to wear them
again, so they create shoes that you will wear again
and again and again. Shannon Britt Shoes have been
seen on a variety of surfaces, ranging from the “Red
Carpet” to a stroll through a park. Shannon Britt’s
are motivating ladies to put their best foot forward,
so don’t be surprised if you catch some Shannon
Britt’s peaking from beneath a skirt, a dress, or the
hem of a pair of jeans. Oh, just imagine the
possibilities…!
