Sick Shoes -
They fit really well, they feel really good, and they are really, really, really good looking. The fake eyelets always have people wondering if I forgot to put my shoe laces on...the Varvatos Jack Slip ons "ARE SOO HOT RIGHT NOW"!!! (Zoolander 2001)

Very comfortable -
Runs true to size or maybe 1/4 size large, but wider than most modern designer shoes. The 'dark brown' color is pretty much a gray with a hint of brownish tones. Other than that the photo is very representative of how it looks. Construction quality seems excellent, and the leather is very nice. The design is nice & I think it's a good-looking shoe with jeans or chinos. Due to the detailing and distressed/ waxed leather it's definitely a casual shoe.

Thank God for moleskin -
Look...these shoes just look great. They do...the problem I felt immediately was this ridge on the inside of the shoe (where the tongue meets the rest of the upper). It rubbed me the wrong way...I finally bought self-adhesive moleskin and covered it.
They're cute shoes...but for that price there shouldn't be any engineering flaws.

Great shoe. Very comfortable. Easy going sense of style. It’s like wearing a bedroom slipper... only upon receiving them did I notice that they are completely lined in buttery soft leather. The kind of construction you rarely find in such a casual looking shoe.

Beautiful but how 'bout some decent laces?
I've bought Jack Purcell's for 20 years (it would have been 30 if I'd known you could still get them in the late 70s). This is my first pair of "designer" JP's and they are quite nice. The pictures at Zappos are accurate so what you see is what you get. Here's my one beef and the reason for a 4 star rating. CHEAP SHOELACES. These have to be the cheapest shoelaces I've ever seen on any shoe. I bought a pair of "regular" JPs that had really quality shoe laces. I mean they would last longer than the shoe itself. The laces on this shoe are not at all what I would expect on a pretty expensive sneaker. Other than that, I love them. A comfortable and stylish sneaker.

This is my second pair of John Varvatos and my 5th pair of Converse Jack Purcell's. Obviously I love JP's. No need to comment on the shoe. They’re awesome.
However this color and style are weak. I'm not opposed to some flair. But the caramel color trim along with the un-masculine stripes turned me off. Nothing matches this color. Ladies I would think twice as well. It just doesn't work. Sorry John but you "jumped the shark" on these.

Great Look - Great Comfort - Poor Quality -
These sandals look great and feel great. Unfortunately, the construction leaves a lot to be desired. The materials themselves seem to be of high grade. However, after wearing them regularly for about six weeks, the outer sole has begun to split from the insole in numerous places (especially the toe). The stitching is still securely holding the two soles together, so they are not literally coming apart, but the split is there none the less. I would recommend keeping these sandals out of the weather. They make great "dress sandals" or a casual evening hanging with your pals. However, they are not at all rugged like a sandal really should be. If you walk through a few puddles, they'll come apart...

Awesome shoes -
I never really cared much for Converse plus pretty much everyone has a pair, but I know John Varvatos makes good clothes so I decided to buy these. Needless to say, this is an awesome shoe. It looks and feels great, goes with pretty much anything, and most importantly (at least for me) it's a limited edition so you won't see anyone else with them. I highly recommend them.

Gorgeous shoes that look better with wear -
I've been looking for the perfect oxford for a few years now and have gone through Paul Smith, Dior Homme, NDC, and Yohji models. Nothing felt quite right until I hit this pair from Varvatos. I tried them on in the store in Soho and wanted to pull the trigger but had already bought a few things. Came home and ordered. Best decision ever.
They fit magically and are great for dancing. The sole is obviously a bit slick at first so rough it up with a razor or knife before wearing out the first time.

Comfortable, convenient, stylish -
This is the 2nd pair of the Varvatos Purcell slip-ons I've bought from Zappos. They're as comfortable as walking around in slippers, they're as easy to slip on and off as a pair of loafers and they look great! I always get favorable comments on them. I ordered these 1/2 size too small, but leave it to the GREAT Customer Service Dept. at Zappos. I not only easily returned them the next day, but my replacement pair showed up the next day, too! For selection and service, you can't beat Zappos. And, NO, I'm not getting paid a cent to say so. Zappos Rocks!
