Working as a stylist for various television
personalities, Emily Wallach noticed a void in the
fashion industry that she was sure she could fill. She
began making cute, leather handbags lined with Indian
saris as gifts for the Hollywood women she worked for,
and Emily Handbags were born. Her creations prompted
one of her clients to have a 'bag party' (think
Tupperware but with handbags and martinis), and before
she knew it Emily Handbags were being sold in stores
across the country.
