My previous LaCrosse Big Chief boots lasted more than ten years of marsh duck hunting. These boots fit tight at the ankle being effective in mud wading when you need to pull hard for next step. Only draw back is when you are taking away the boots, it’s hard to pull them away. You need to use thin socks, but for their purpose, it’s a best buy for their functionality, price, and durability.

I am extremely happy with the performance of these boots right out of the box. I usually like a little wider boot for ease of break in unfortunately these didn't come in a wide size, I took the chance and bought regular width and was delighted when I put them on and they felt great. I am a repeat customer of Zappos and they never cease to amaze me with the speed they get your footwear to you. Free shipping and I got them extremely fast...Way to go Zappos; you've got a customer for life.

They are excellent -
I ordered these boots for my husband - he loved them - true to fit, size and width - and they looked exactly as the picture - the price is so reasonable. He uses them when he is moving the lawn, doing yard work ect... they are perfect for those extremely rainy, muddy days.

Helps prevent lymes disease -
Great way to prevent deer ticks from getting on you! Lymes disease can cause serious damage, so wearing a pair of these while hiking in the woods seems like a sensible way of keeping the ticks off (just spray the boot with repellant). Wearing these also lets you cross shallow streams and slog through mud with ease! The boots are easy to clean and comfortable to wear.

Great boot -
Fits like a glove and is comfortable for walking miles in snow and mud. I bought a pair for myself two years ago and now I have bought a pair for my son. I totally recommend it for people who have to work outside in all conditions.

A wide foot fit -
I have an 8 EEEE feet, difficult getting shoes that feel good on my feet, and after reading reviews I though I would give them a try. What a great wet weather shoe. Very comfortable, looks good, feels right. Would buy again without a doubt.

Great boot -
I needed a boot to work clearing brush in muddy wet conditions around our farm. After reading the review from the fellow in NJ who uses these to walk around the marsh I decided to try them. After upgrading the cheap insole they're perfect- good support and dry. I've even hiked 3-4 miles up and down some very steep hills in them in comfort. They'd be cold just standing around but if active they're plenty warm. I suggest a boot jack for getting them off- they have a snug fit which is why they have good support.

This is the third pair of these boots I've owned in the last 10 years. I hunt deer, ducks, geese, turkey, & fish in them. As long as I stay out of the barbwire they last for years with no dry-rot problems. Zappos has the best price I've found anywhere on these boots. I'm very happy with my purchase & ecstatic with the price. Also I have had a problem finding them locally.

Shoes are very comfy. Only concern I would have is they seem to be a little thin. I am concerned if I drop something with any sharpness at it will penetrate the thin cover.
Otherwise shoes are great.

Greatest Boots Ever -
These boots are very comfortable and warm. They're perfect for rain, snow and mud. Probably better than any pair of boots made. Only drawback to this boot is that it looks like something an astronaut would wear.

Very supportive and extremely comfortable. I received them for Christmas and when I tried them on they were so comfortable I wore them all day instead of slippers. My feet did get sweaty by the end of the day from the rubber.

The Alpha Lite Boots that I have received seem
to be the type of boot I was looking for. It is very comfortable to walk in. Although if you have a wide foot the medium width seems a little snug. Maybe the next size larger would be a better fit for a wide foot.

Simply Perfect -
I ordered these shoes for my son. He's thrilled at their comfort and performance! His job, as an usher in a movie theater, requires him to be on his feet for anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. On chilly, damp/wet days he wears these shoes to work. He tells me they are extremely comfortable even when his job requires to walk (and sometimes run) a lot!
They also look neat, attractive, and professional!
And, to top it all off, they are animal-skin-free (great for vegans/vegetarians like my son and myself)!

Great all around boot -
I was looking for a boot that transitions from low areas to upland terrain and this boot does it with ease. Fits great, comfortable on long walks, stable, lightweight, warm, easy on and easy off. Super all around performance. This is a well constructed and designed boot with the end user in mind.

This LaCrosse Alpha Lite is a nice boot. Fit's well, and is comfortable. It's warm enough for early season bow hunts and light enough for walking in the uplands. Good traction and support. They really smell like rubber when you first take them out...takes a week or two for the smell to calm down. Other wise a great early season hunting boot that’s light on you feet.

Holds its own...
Not a bad boot. Had mine for about two years and wear them for work on and off. Things worth mentioning are they are comfortable. It took a short period to break them in but that went smoothly. Also, I think the soles for these boots are better them some other manufacturers. Wolverine has many of their styles with a soft cushy sole while this is more a harder rubber. That’s one reason I took these boots - they seem to last longer. I found the review above very different from my experience and thought I should mention it. I am trying to buy another pair and came here to check if there are new styles.

Makes feet cold -
This pair of shoes could be excellent, except that they turn the feet freezing cold when working in cold environment. I work at the seafood department at WholeFoods Market. The shoes help keep the water out. They are anti-slip, but they turn my feet into two block of ice, they absorb a lot of coldness. I started wearing two socks on each foot, but still not working...disappointing in that sense!!
