What a boot!
I bought this boot for the design and described comfort. I was not disappointed! Not only does this boot look great with pants, but it has also stood up to the coldness here in Bozeman, MT. When I first opened the package, I was worried that my high arch would not fit into the boot, but to my surprise, it slid in comfortably. This boot also accommodated my calf. The lacings pull the boot together making it elegant. I generally have issues with buying boots, trying on several pairs before I find a good fit. This pair of boots was perfect right out of the box! This is the first pair of Ulu boots I have bought and if they all fit this great, I will be a repeat buyer!

Best snow boot I've ever had!
Besides being beautiful, these are extremely comfortable. They are warm and cozy without socks in the deepest snow. When I come back into the house I don't even want to take them off. They still look like new, it's amazing. I should get a few winters out of these beauties. They definitely beat Uggs.

Loved these boots... I live in south Florida & hate being cold! These boots kept my feet warm without socks. They remained dry all day after walking in snow. The traction was also great no slipping. Glad I read other reviews & got size 8 usually a 7.

Beautiful boots!
I needed a boot that was good for city walking in the winter as well as being waterproof. I like footwear that makes my size 10 feet look smaller. The first pair I received had a dent in the leather which pressed inwards just above my outer ankle. Zappos is not charging me the $15 which Canadians pay for returns. I reordered and am thrilled.

Good looking boot -
I loved the looks of these boots, however, ended up sending them back. The strap that goes across the top of the arch is very tight and confining. I don't consider myself a high arch, but my foot felt very restricted by that. I certainly would not have been able to wear a sock with the boots. Too bad, they really are cute. Not sure if ordering a size up would have solved it for me.

I really like the looks of this boot. The fit is a bit snug, but not bad. Not sure about warmth or waterproofness, haven't had a chance to really test it, but it looks like it will hold up fine.

The perfect boots -
These boots are WAY more comfortable than I was expecting. I tried the Sorel "Annah" boots and the Kamik "Broadway" boots and these Ulus were the clear winner. I wear an 8-8.5 and so I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly, with or without socks. They are so comfortable that they feel like tennis shoes. I have high arches and narrow feet and these boots feel perfectly broken in, supportive, and comfy right from the 1st moment of putting them on! I live in Las Vegas so I can't exactly put these to the test as far as how warm they are in cold weather, but they seem toasty to me. The rabbit fur is absolutely gorgeous. I am looking forward to wearing these to be FASHIONABLE (which is amazing since I originally purchased these just to be WARM). I will definitely buy more Ulus in the future. They are very well made and DEFINITELY worth the money!

I bought the black boots two years ago and I wear them so often that I recently bought the brown boots with flowers just to give my black boots some time off. I love them. I get compliments every time I wear them. Everyone wants to know where I got them and I tell them Zappos.com. The boots are the most comfortable boots you will ever find. You can walk all day long in them. I will definitely buy a third pair before the year is over. Life is too short to not get at least one pair of these boots.

It's February. In Chicago. And for some reason the stores here are all breaking out their fashionable spring lines..."but!" I cry "I don't want sandals! I can't currently sun myself on the hopes and dreams of warmer weather to come... I need some &*%$ winter boots. It's FEBRUARY IN CHICAGO and there's 9 inches of snow on the ground." And thus, I purchased these fine boots online. I've had them a week now and have been wandering around in the snow and slush and general muck of winter and I can tell you that yes, I'm usually a 7 and after trying them both, I ended up keeping the 7 1/2. I think it's just a personal preference. They both fit fine, just differently. Yes, they are very warm and fuzzy on the inside. Yes, you can easily just pull them on and off. And yes, they're waterproof. I'm very happy with my new Ulu shoes. Though I agree that the tread is a bit on the slippy side, it's not a big deal and still does a fine job in my opinion. Happy boot hunting!

Very waterproof and cozy -
I bought these boots mid-winter, right before a major snowstorm. They performed great. Highly waterproof and warm, especially on the leg. They did take a few days to break in in the heel and ankle area (kind of rubbed the wrong way and needed a few band-aids, even through 2 pair of socks). I walk about 4 miles a day in these boots now and they are solid. I only wish the treads on the bottom were a little more defined because I find myself slipping a bit on the ice rather than gripping into it. I bought a half size larger than normal and that seemed right for the style/use.

They are a little loose, so you could wear thicker socks with your regular size. They look and feel great. They do not tighten with the tie on front (looks only), but overall they fit the bill for a ski trip and shopping in town when cold and wet.

The most awesome Sun Valley boot ever -
This is a super-stylish, relatively well-priced boot. I saw it on someone at the gym yesterday, ordered them online, got them in the AM, haven't taken them off all day. They are comfortable and from what I understand, really durable - this chick had them for five years already and they looked great.

Bomb Cute Super Cozy Boots -
First I must say these boots are cute as hell but do order 1/2 size up they run a little snug. I took the advice of other reviewers and did just that, I wear a 7 1/2 ordered the 8 and they fit perfect. I order 1/2 size up with all Ulu. Super comfy cozy and the embroidery with rabbit fur just make them hot and a must have. The insulation makes them super warm. I have the black and the brown and just adore them both. You can’t go wrong with Ulu...I have four pairs total and they are all comfortable and cute. Bought these for a Colorado adventure...they fit the bill.

Good Warm Boot -
I bought these boots for a trip to northern Canada so my feet wouldn't freeze & was quite happy! I have short, fat feet & normally take a 6.5-7 but bought a size 8 so I'd have enough room in the calf to tuck in my pant legs. These boots are WARM & have good tread, but need to be treated to make them waterproof (snow melts on them & soaks in) and I had to pull out the insoles the following day because the seam across the top of the foot hurt so much. But with flat sheepskin liners minus the arch support, I was very comfortable. Great Boot!

Best winter boots!
If you are looking for stylish, WARM, waterproof winter boots, look no further - these are the boots! My sister and I were both shopping for a good winter boot that looked cute (and not too clunky like Uggs), had good insulation for warmth and had waterproof suede. We must've looked at every boot on the market, and certainly on the Zappos site. I originally tried the Columbia Namara, as they looked good, but once I received them, I discovered they were NOT insulated and only water-resistant (not waterproof), making it more of a fashion boot. Having just moved to MN, I needed a serious winter boot. There are a lot of wannabe's and pretenders out there, once you really start scrutinizing the features and details, and I was very frustrated in not finding the right combination of things I wanted in a boot. That is, until I found the Ulu brand, then my search was over! They are wonderful, good quality and very well made. I got them in black and love the Nordic-style stitching and shearling lining throughout, although this made the sizing choice a little tough. I tried these in a 6 and 6.5 (street shoe is a 6), and truly could have made either one work, but I think having the shearling lining in there made the toe box feel just a tad compressed but not uncomfortable. I ended up going with the 6.5 (although Zappos was unfortunately sold out of my color/size combo at this point and I had to locate them elsewhere - which I hated to do as Zappos is the BEST shoe source EVER!). But I figured the extra room would be a good thing to have. My sister also bought a pair of Ulu's in the Gray (brown) as we decided Ulu was it! I love these boots! This is a long review because I have a lot to say about the fit--and I love these boots. I followed other reviewers' advice and got one-half size larger than my usual size. They fit fine, especially with thick socks (which I wear when it is cold, and these boots are for the cold...) I think sockless; my true size would be fine.
These boots have plenty of toe room, don't slip, and sinch up great on my calf. (I have slender calves; so many boots are too wide.) And I can tuck in pants, too. With skirts or pants, they look great!
I would like more arch support--these are not too great, but my insoles work fine with them (I have very very flat feet). The Ulu Seona is great, too--much more support, and very nice looking, but more casual, knock-around. I bought them, too. The Suora, dark brown, can be worn with long skirts and look great.
My first pair cut in just under my ankle, on my right foot. I contacted Zappos, and then sent a replacement pair, and they don't cut in at all. Good ol' Zappos!
As for style, the dark brown are gorgeous, and I love them. So do my husband and son. I have looked for stylish, warm boots that fit for years, without luck, until now. I normally don't spend so much on boots, but these are worth it, for the comfort and style. Ulu, and Zappos, RULE! :)

I got these this winter- and they have just been great. The tread on the bottom isn't as beefy as I would like (I kinda slipped and slided in really icy places), but overall I love them. I first ordered a 7.5 (see below reviews) but had to return them for my true size of 8.

I LOVE these boots! They are awesome in fit and looks. I am very hard to fit, with very flat feet, wider at the toes, narrow at the heel, thin calves.....and these boots seem made just for me. The arch support is good, the toe room great, and no slip on my heel. I can sinch them up tightly enough so they are snug around my calves. Finally--warm feet and legs! Or so I hope. I've not yet worn them outside, but look forward to it. Just wanted to post a review to help others who might be interested. I did order 1/2 size up as recommended by others--I am a standard 9.5, and went with a 10. They fit like a dream! Usually size 10 swallows my feet, but these did not.
And Zappos was fast--ordered Saturday, got them Monday! They have much more variety, and better variety, of shoes than I can find here. Best thing is the No Risk option--free shipping and returns! :)

These were not my dream boots. They are OK, but not as comfy as hoped. The arch support is so-so, and the looks, too. I ordered the half-size up recommended by other reviewers, and they fit OK, but just aren't as great-looking as I had hoped. I like the Ulu Suora and Ulu Seona much better. Had the Ulu Suluk come in my size, I would've gotten it, for a shorter boot. Much cuter, and might have a better fit, too.

I was looking for a winter boot that had a cute style I could wear with jeans. I owned a pair of Columbia's prior to purchasing these boots. Not only did the rubber across the foot on both shoes fall apart, but I felt the style was limited to what you could wear with them. I purchased the grey boots in the Ulu's. I felt they would go with black or brown because the grayish/brownish color. I wasn't sure about the color, but it grew on me. They feel like walking on a cloud! I didn't want to take them off. They are light in weight and have a flexible sole. My husband thought they looked great on. As for the size, I read the reviews and agreed with everyone else to go a 1/2 size bigger. I usually wear a size 8. When I wore my boots to work for the first time (I am a teacher), I got so many compliments! Two teachers wanted to try them on and were immediately impressed with the comfort and fuzzy warmth. One teacher wears a size 7 1/2 and thought the 8 1/2 fit perfect. The other teacher has a wide foot and didn't think that they would fit her as well because I have a more narrow foot. They fit her perfect too! One wanted to order the black ones and the other the grey. I'm not too sure how the tan ones would hold up in the dirty wet snow. These are a great purchase! I ordered on Saturday and got them on Monday. Zappos is awesome!

These boots are light, comfortable, and warm. I really liked them, and the best part is that the opening is large enough to tuck pants and muscular calves in. The problem I have with these is that the quality isn't there for the money, as the boots had some defects.
