I love my Timbuk2 bag. I ride my bike to work and the medium bag is perfect for all my stuff (change of clothes, my lunch, toiletries, towel and a few other items). It sits very comfortably on my back, even when it is packed to the brim.

This bag is sporty and practical. It is perfect for a mom with two young kids who add extra items to my bag each time we go somewhere. The variety of inside pockets make it a great bag for organizing keys, cell phone, and such. I would definitely purchase another Timbuk2 bag in the future. I have finally found a cute, sturdy, practical tote/purse that fits my active lifestyle.

Sure, it's not macho, but there is just too much stuff in my life now. I wear gas-permeable contacts so I need wetting solution since they tend to dry out. In case I lose a contact, I need my glasses. Now, that I have this bag, I might as well put my prescription and regular sunglasses in there, so I know where they are. And I need reading glasses now. I have my cell phone on the side and the other obvious stuff like wallet and keys. The Metro in black looks great and not too purse-like. More dividers and pockets would be nice, but still I'm very happy with this product.

Great durable bag -
This is a great bag. Super sturdy construction with tons of pockets to organize your stuff. I wear it across my shoulder like a messenger bag when I'm riding my bike, but then I wear it as a tote when I'm not on my bike. It works well both ways. The straps aren't as long as they look in the picture, but they still go over my shoulder fine.

I've been using this bad for a few weeks now and I don't have any complaints at all, and I get so many compliments about the looks of this bag. It's so handy, portable, comfortable and it has a lot of room and it doesn't look bulky. I'm so glad I bought it.

Good Messenger Bag-Does What it says...!
This bag is rugged and built for your everyday use. The laptop sleeve holds my 15" MacPro like a glove. Honestly though, if I had to buy it over again, I would have gotten the larger bag. Otherwise, it is everything the manufacturer claims and describes.

Great gym/commute bag -
This is a great basic bag for getting your stuff to and from work or the gym. The medium is perfect for holding both documents (up to legal size) and a pair of gym shoes and clothes. It is light, tough, and the styling is basic. It doesn't scream glamour and isn't particularly sleek, with its flappy strap closures, but it gets the job done and I've had mine for years.

Not What I Expected -
This wallet is cute and the outside material is very durable, but the inside material did not seem to be. In addition, when I began to transfer the necessary items from my old wallet into this one, there was not nearly enough room. Overall, this wallet was a disappointment and not worth the money.

Interesting. I do like the non-traditional design, but this is kind of a strange bag. I have a couple of smaller Timbuk2 messenger bags, and like them a lot. As for this bag, the previous review was pretty much on the mark. I like the water bottle pocket, although to compensate for an exterior bulge, it creates an interior bulge. Pros: A good size, can accommodate a lot of stuff. Corduroy-lined laptop section is separately accessible, and because of the design, it doesn't add a lot of bulk to the bag. Cons: Only two interior pockets one for an iPod, the other where the removable cable pouch can go. Rubberized bottom does not completely cover the bottom.

Not bad -
Bought for Timbuk2 quality. Owned a small one once before remembered space, which is what I was looking for. LOVE all the pockets how ever still not enough room for me. Was looking for something with lots of pockets and room enough for lunch, a jacket and possibly a few groceries. Not enough room for any of that. Great for business or students with mostly laptops, notebook and a text book. Like others have mentioned, I too found it to be heavy and bulky, even when cycling. The strap is also uncomfortable when loaded. Other than that, its not bad.

This is my first Timbuk2 bag. I wanted something more messenger-ish for my notebook computer, and saw this one. I believe it's not as spacious as the regular messengers, but I still love it. It's attractive, sturdy and comfortable. The shoulder strap hasn't been uncomfortable to me, but most of the time I carry it by the handle. I've had a computer, a 1-inch binder, and small books in here together with pretty much no problem.

Not Timbuk2s best effort -
I have the Lula and needed more space. This has space, but the side pocket without the organizer gaps open, even with the velcro closure. It doesn't stand on its own. I find, too, that it slides from my shoulder, even when I use the shoulder strap. When you put it under your arm you can pop stuff out of the open outside pocket! It's durable, but I'm going back to my Lula!

Too bulky -
I bought this bag to carry my laptop and other useful things on either a bike or train commute.
The bag is great as far as storage space (with an excellent padded laptop compartment), but the design is rather bulky. When filled with all my goods (laptop & cords, a sketchbook, a novel, my wallet, cell phone, iPod, sun block, long-sleeve t-shirt, etc.), it overwhelmed my small 5'2'' frame. From the reviews, it seems like a few petite folks were able to make it work, but I just couldn't manage it. I'm also not sure whether this design would be the best choice for bike commutes... its very bottom heavy and hangs more than lays across the back. I think I'll be grabbing a smaller Timbuk2 messenger bag... the brand is great but this style just didn't fit my needs.

I bought this tote for a trip, and it was the perfect bag. The top zipper closed completely so I had no worries when I shoved it under the airplane seat. There are a couple of small zippered pockets and places for pens and a large notebook, besides the large open area for everything else. The large shoulder strap was easy to adjust and quite comfortable. I love it! I think it may be the perfect small carry-on/tote bag!

Comfy but not real pretty - This bag is very comfortable to carry, even when it's loaded. However, my daughter calls it my "man bag" because of its appearance. Also, it's quite heavy when it has little to nothing in it.

Very versatile, useful bag. Well made, high quality.
I've had this bag for a couple weeks now. I find it to be very well made and a joy to use. I have used it in both configurations as a shoulder bag and backpack. It works well in both modes, though I prefer to use it as a backpack. It seems to hold quite a bit of stuff. The area for the laptop is safe, well-padded, and the corduroy lining protects the gear from scuffs and scratches. Changing the bag from a backpack to shoulder bag is easy and quick; it only takes a few minutes. The backpack straps stow away easily and the shoulder strap can be put inside the same place that the pack straps hide in. It has three different areas for putting your stuff. I use it for work and can carry manilla folders inside it along with pens, keys, etc. It also has a small pocket on the side for a can of soda or other small water bottle of similar size. The construction appears to be solid and thorough. It's one of those bags that seems like they designed it while using it. Sometimes you buy bags and it's as if no one tried it out before they finalized the design. But, this one seems well thought-out. I'm very happy with the purchase. It probably doesn't carry as much stuff as one of the messenger bags, but if you want a bag that can switch off and look professional in shoulder bag mode but can also be used as a backpack to carry for longer periods of time, then this is it. I think you'll enjoy this bag. It might be expensive, but I think it's worth it.

I love this bag -
I just took this bag with me on an overnight trip to LA (for work). It was the perfect size, it fit my kit, a change of clothes, a sweater and my book for the flight. It's also comfortable to carry and the zippered opening makes it safe in the airport, but easy to access the inside. I leave on vacation to Europe next week and this will definitely be my carry-on.

Is this the right size?
I bought this bag because I commute into Boston. I needed a bag that was large enough to carry a pair of heels, a suit jacket, and lunch without crushing any of it. This is the perfect bag (and I have tried several)!!! It is big enough, but not overly big. I have room to fit the above items and more (even a laptop). Timbuk2 says it will hold 18 double size rolls of toilet paper (see their website- it's true) and they are correct. The outside zipped pocket contains a lanyard for keys. Behind the zipped pocket is also an open pocket with several small sewn dividers (perfect for subway passes or business cards). I would highly recommend this bag.

Great overall large wallet -
I needed a wallet that would hold all my stuff in an organized manner. I couldn't keep my old wallet shut. With this wallet, I have it all stuffed in there and it doesn't bulge or look overloaded or anything. The materials are good quality. It's easy to organize and access every pocket. I have small children so I needed material that would withstand fluids, dirt, whatever the elements threw at it, and this wallet has held the test so far. I highly recommend this wallet.

Awesome Travel/Commute Bag -
For almost 3 years, I have been looking for a well-designed, good-quality bag that I could use to commute to work every day. I live in a large Midwestern city with inclement weather year-round, and I normally use public transportation to get to work. This bag WORKS! It holds up to the weather, the straps are strong, and after a really hard winter, it still looks new/great. Cleans up easily and holds all my stuff (amazing), has one big space but lots of little side pouches. The big bonus of this bag it that's it's an excellent travel bag, too: it fits PERFECTLY under the seat in front of you when traveling via airplane. Good stuff.

American In England -
We travel a lot while living and working in England as Americans. I am always searching for the perfect handbag and I actually think I've found it. Just tried it out on a biking trip to France and was easily able to fill it with my digital camera, passport, sunglasses, etc. It's a good size for carrying just about anything without carrying a massive shoulder bag. I like it.
