Jan Lewis, Murray Pletz and Skip Yowell lived in Seattle when they created their first framepack and the first panel loading daypack. Murray had just won a design contest for "The Best New Use of Aluminum" for the framepack the trio had fabricated in the transmission shop of Skip's uncle. Once climbers on Mount Rainier and other Northwest peaks saw the new pack, they wanted one for themselves. The rest is JanSport history.

Comfortable Fit -
I needed a new pair judging by the hip, knee and shin pain that started with my year old adidas pair. After bouncing around Sports Authority and DSW trying on about 3 dozen shoes or more, these were the only pair that felt so good putting on your foot and didn't aggravate the existing pain I was having and actually felt like it help diminish the discomfort I was having from the past couple of runs. Saucony had another pair that had a better heel cushion that I debated on, but sometimes too soft isn't good (made that mistake before) and I couldn't beat the comfortable fit of this shoe in general (and the look!). I'm not 100% on having enough heel cushion, but I do know that the hip, shin and knee pain have disappeared instantly and each run gets better. I have a high arch and the support is not the best but better then a lot of shoes and enough to get me to buy them. All in all, I think I made a good choice and I think they're definitely worth investigating depending on your foot and your needs. Good luck!

Jansport Bookbag -
In preparation for school, my 10 yr old was very concerned about having a bookbag different from everyone else's. As we were looking at your mdse, she saw what she considered the perfect bookbag. She was pleased as was I. I was a little hesitant about paying the price since dept stores had them for less. However, because we couldn't find that one and there was no shipping charge, I was convinced that I made a good decision.

Great looks and function in one -
This bag holds enough binders, textbooks and supplies for any high school or college student. Even loaded to the max, it's still comfortable to lug around on your back. The black and white henna pattern I chose makes this Jansport backpack stand out from the other dark, solid-color backpacks everyone else has. Love it.

Love the idea of this backpack -
I used this pack for the first time on a 15 mile overnight hike this past weekend. What's good about it: lots of storage space and different pockets to organize your gear, sleeping bag section, good padding along back and on shoulder straps. What's bad: I am 5'5" and 120 lbs so maybe that's the problem. I could not configure the shoulder straps and waist strap to properly fit. The waist strap would not stay where it was supposed to (they seem to be angled strangely) and I ended up with bruises on my stomach from where the ends dug in. Because the waist strap did not fit correctly, most of the weight went to the shoulder straps which resulted sore shoulders and a bad headache the first day out. I wish this pack fit me better because I really like the design of it. If I could though, I would return it for something more comfortable.

My girls love their bags. It is easy for them to get around their elementary campus with! I wouldn't recommend the bag for ages less than 7 because the handle is very tall. I like the fact that the shoulder straps are tucked away – the bag looks neat.

My new Jansport backpack is wonderful - great size, great comfort, and great design! It is very accommodating for me and is capable of holding those school textbooks. (I tried!) I am very pleased with the purple rosebud backpack. I suggest it to any girl teen.

Best brand for medium size backpacks -
If you are looking for a medium size, light, and durable backpack, this is your best choice. It looks good and it is roomy without being huge. I have to add that Zappos.com offers an amazing price and lightening fast delivery in excellent condition.

Polka Dot Jansport -
My daughter picked it out online and I was hoping that it would look just the same and it did!!! It is actually cuter in person! The Jansport label actually doesn't match the polka dots but I got her name put on the front pocket with the same color as the label and it is precious!! It's the pink daiquiri dots if anyone is wondering!

Cute lunch bag!
I love this lunch tote! It's perfect for kids or if you want to pack up your lunch for the office. It keeps your food warm or cold depending on what kind of food you've packed up in the tote. It fits a sandwich and a bottle of water and maybe a snack. Cute designs, overall wonderful product.

Perfect gift for a student!
I purchased the backpack as a gift for my cousin who is a high school junior. She says that the JanSport SuperBreak is great for carrying everything she needs for class, and is comfortable to wear. She loved the fact that she had so many options to choose from when it came to picking a color for her backpack. I agree! It does not have as many compartments, it hurts when I put a lot of books in the bag. I think maybe this is more of a casual school bag, like for summer use only (when you don’t have a lot of things to carry), for academic year use, it’s not as good.

Everything you are looking for -
Ordered this in Choc.chip/pink colors; love the combination of colors. Durable; I am a mother of three, can hold all those "extra" items we need. Outside zip pocket, inside compartments, all practical in design. I wanted a summer bag, something to hold all of my items, plus room to spare. I have had a number of compliments as well. Money well spent, will last me, and I love the design.

My daughter loves the Superbreak backpack. It's just the right size for her being that she is small for her age and not everyone in her school will have the same backpack due to the many different designs. I love the Superbreak backpack because it has padding in the back so her books are resting on the padding not her back.

Absolutely amazing - I have ordered MANY things from Zappos, and I have always had superb service. But, I had to write about this backpack because it was the most amazing, drop dead thing I have ever experienced. I placed my order on June 16th at 9:30 pm and on June 17th at 3:30, I walked to the front door to let out the babysitter, and my backpack from Zappos was on the porch. I just about couldn't believe it; never experienced any kind of service like that before. The backpack is cute, cute, cute. My daughter loves it, and I am so thrilled with the price, the service, and the backpack, I almost want to order another one just for a repeat performance. I will always order from ZAPPOS. Have not had a chance to take on trip yet but I like the features: double zippers on main and both end compartments, straps on back and front to tighten/compress pack, two end pockets are long and longer. They actually can meet in middle so if you put much in those it takes room away from main compartment but it also very much helps keep things separated- I believe one of end spaces could easily hold 2-3 pairs of shoes depending on your foot size! Shoulder strap is padded and duffel material heavier quality than most and ALL THIS makes this a keeper for me. Would be excellent large gym bag if you have big lockers or a small weekend bag if you are a good packer. An overnight everything in bag would be best. I tend to over pack! AGAIN VERY NICE.
