JanSport’s goal is to design, engineer, manufacture and market products that will help you get from point A to point B in the most functional way possible. The story of JanSport bags and apparel begins in 1967 with three friends and their love for the outdoors. Jan Lewis, Murray Pletz and Skip Yowell lived in Seattle when they created their first framepack and the first panel loading daypack. Murray had just won a design contest for "The Best New Use of Aluminum" for the framepack the trio had fabricated in the transmission shop of Skip's uncle. Once climbers on Mount Rainier and other Northwest peaks saw the new pack, they wanted one for themselves. The rest is JanSport history.

Top notch back pack.
It's an average student size and use back pack, perfect for toting your stuff. The spades and skulls design is a lot of fun. This is not a large capacity style so it is not good for serious outdoor use or toting a lot of heavy books for school. Lighter duty, but perfect for that!

Nice.
I ordered this backpack due to back issues, I'd been carrying a side "messenger" type bag for the past few years, and my shoulders and back were killing me! This is a decent backpack, it has plenty of room, and the only thing I wish was that it had an inner pocket or two rather than just one huge space. I bought this for strictly using it for school books...nothing more.

My granddaughter loves her new wheelie backpack!
I bought this because I wanted to help alleviate the back pain that my granddaughter was feeling lugging her regular backpack around. She absolutely loves her new wheeled superbreak--especially since it's in this really cool Hawaiian floral pattern. And she's the envy of all her friends at school! I'm just happy that she can wheel her books around and I don't have to worry that one day she'll have recurring back pains all because of a stupid backpack--okay, schools, listen up, too! Do grade school kids really have to lug around those heavy books?

Very roomy and cute design - This bag is extremely roomy, I'm a physical therapist asst. and I carry all my supplies and equipment from school to work in this bag. I also get many compliments on the design. I would suggest this bag to my friends.

Not only the best backpack but the best thing in general.
This backpack has changed my life. It is the strongest backpack in the world. It has like 50 bagillion pockets. I look at other kids with their other backpacks to fit 20 books into them and it makes me wonder, do they have enough food to make it through the week? I can fit my old JanSport Equinox 33 full of books inside the large pocket. I would sleep in it if the homeless hadn't already (they really like it). If you do not buy this backpack then you will live a pointless short life.

We got this set because one of the lunch bags matched my elementary-school-aged daughter's backpack, but the other bag was so attractive that her middle-school-aged sister has been using it (and she was a diehard "lunch bags are childish, I'll take a brown bag" girl last year!). The lining is foil-material and is easy to wipe clean. It can be pulled out without reversing the whole bag to let it air dry when necessary.

Simple and easy backpack - My son is a minimalist. He likes having just two pockets so that he doesn't have to hunt around for pens, pencils, erasers or anything else. Either he has it or not. The main section is a bit small from my perspective, but he thinks it's just fine for his binder and separate notebooks. (He has a set of books at home.)

My JanSport Mashup!
I love my new backpack! It's perfect for school. It fits all of my books! [Especially because I have a lot more homework!] It feels very comfortable on my back. I can even run with it! I love the color of it. The brown and greens match so well! I love those kind of colors. The only objection I have is that it doesn't have a cell phone pocket. I'm not supposed to bring it to school, but... Great backpack!!!!

Brilliant! I agonized over choosing a backpack for ages, and then the Big Student won out. I just bought it last week. I'm a grad student with 2 part time jobs, a long commute and no fixed desk space, so I end up lugging a lot of gear around. I've just packed up mine for the coming days, and it fits everything! I even have room for my lunch and gym gear. It has lots of pockets, which is great for staying organized, and my favorite feature, mesh bottle pocket on the side. It's quite comfortable too, and its feels lighter than I thought it would considering how much stuff I have in there. The straps could be softer, but I guess with frequent use they will soften up. Also, it is quite a large bag, so maybe not suited for people with narrow shoulders or small frames, but for me, it's perfect.

Best back pack for carrying it all.
My daughter has been using this Jansport model for years, and it's nice they keep coming up with new patterns and colors. It's the only pack to hold books, laptop. Lunch and all of the other incidental kids seem to need these days. Plus, this backpack is indestructible! Highly recommended.

Jansport Bookbag -
In preparation for school, my 10 yr old was very concerned about having a bookbag different from everyone else's. As we were looking at your mdse, she saw what she considered the perfect bookbag. She was pleased as was I. I was a little hesitant about paying the price since dept stores had them for less. However, because we couldn't find that one and there was no shipping charge, I was convinced that I made a good decision.

Great looks and function in one -
This bag holds enough binders, textbooks and supplies for any high school or college student. Even loaded to the max, it's still comfortable to lug around on your back. The black and white henna pattern I chose makes this Jansport backpack stand out from the other dark, solid-color backpacks everyone else has. Love it.

My girls love their bags. It is easy for them to get around their elementary campus with! I wouldn't recommend the bag for ages less than 7 because the handle is very tall. I like the fact that the shoulder straps are tucked away – the bag looks neat.

My new Jansport backpack is wonderful - great size, great comfort, and great design! It is very accommodating for me and is capable of holding those school textbooks. (I tried!) I am very pleased with the purple rosebud backpack. I suggest it to any girl teen.
