I shopped around and chose this for low-weight overseas backpacking. What a great choice! The hood eliminates the need to pack a hat. It's wind-resistant. Fit is spot-on. Weight-to warmth ratio is excellent, and the whole thing compresses down to the size of a baseball! Sure, pit-zips would be the cherry on top. A skilled tailor could install them, but I'm going to leave mine as-is rather than mess with success. Zappos service was superb!
