Moms are pretty cool, but you probably already knew that. They made sure you had everything you needed when you weren’t feeling well as a kid. They let you sleep in on Saturday mornings. They made you countless meals and did many loads of your laundry. They did everything that moms do, but more than that, they loved you… sometimes they are a little overprotective and nosey, but it just reminds you how much they really care about you. What better way to celebrate Mom than with a few of her favorite things!

Not all moms are made alike though! Maybe your mom enjoys having company over and cooking supreme meals with all her favorite Viking® kitchen appliances and gadgets. She’s the one who sets the table with two forks from her silverware collection and sparkling wine glasses and decanters from Riedel®. She cuts her veggies with the finest knives and cutlery from J.A. Henckels® and makes baking look like an art form with her three-tiered cakes using top-of-the-line bakeware. She shows off her Rachael Ray® casserole dishes and uses Farberware® pots and pans to cook on the stovetop. She probably even makes homemade frosting with her Kitchenaid mixer! Hungry now? Us too!

But maybe your mom wouldn’t know a toaster from a can opener. That’s okay; we all have our specialties. Maybe she is a pro at all things athletic. She runs a marathon and makes Superman look lazy! She loves the whole sporty look… she swaps a pair of Not Your Daughters Jeans® for a pair of Prana® yoga pants and designer handbags for athletic bags. She carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, so it’s a good thing that she’s wearing the best running shoes and workout clothing that money can buy. She tops off her look with sunglasses that protect her eyes… Maybe she needs some sunglasses for those eyes in the back of her head! You know they are back there… somewhere!

Of course, you’re mom might be the kind of mom who wouldn’t be caught dead in workout pants. As a matter of fact, she could probably run a mile (and win) in her designer high heels by Michael Michael Kors® while carrying her Dooney & Bourke® handbag. She never leaves the house with fewer than 3 bracelets, 2 necklaces and 4 rings to accompany her fabulous designer dresses from Calvin Klein®. She’s all DKNY scarves and fancy sunglasses. She’s cool and elegant, sophisticated and inspiring, and never loses her cool! After all, she’s got people to handle situations that require that.

On the other hand, maybe your mom is a little greener than the typical mom. She organizes community recycling drives and makes sure there’s a recycling canister for everything possible thing! She sports eco-friendly clothing and vegan shoes. She works hard at becoming one with her surroundings. She does yoga and spends her time gardening while wearing her ginormous sun hat. She loves to go camping because it helps her feel that much closer to Mother Earth – which makes sense because she’s a mom too. She knows that to whom much is given much is required.

Although, some moms help the earth by using technology that helps them be more efficient. To them, laptops and Bluetooth technology makes everything works better and faster than being stuck in the stone ages. Headphones rid the world of noise pollution, and media players use digital media verses buying cds that use a ton of extra packaging. GPS devices make for paper-free travels and lap top bags help organize it all… you can probably even find an eco-friendly bag or two or more!

There is something that all moms have in common – well, most moms: they love being pampered. Whether it’s a new bathrobe from Pine Cone Hill®, a comfy nightgown from Natori®, some nice lounge clothing from Barefoot Dreams®, or a new pair of slippers from UGG® Australia, Mom loves to put her feet up after a long day! She may revel in her favorite skincare and makeup products, or maybe she enjoys the simplicity of a beautiful scent in the form of fragrances and perfume. She’s just as happy with new movies for her dvd collection as she would be something glamorous.

You know what your mom likes. You know what makes her happy. Of course, she’s content just spending time with you. But if you’re like most kids, you don’t like showing up empty handed! Give Mom a hug and a kiss from us. Okay, it can be from you, but at least tell her we said hello!
