I ordered these for our trip to England and Scotland this summer. I have been there before and know how wet it can be. I wanted something waterproof and slip resistant but not heavy like hiking shoes. I have also just started running so I wanted the support of running shoes. These fit the bill! They have unbelievable support! They have more support than any running/cross training shoes that I have ever owned so if you are not used to that, it may take some getting used to. However, your feet will thank you! As a matter of fact, I have never been a runner in my life and I just started the Couch to 5K app in my workouts three weeks ago. I felt so supported and confident in these shoes that I started it in these! I had never heard of this brand but the rave reviews made me want to buy them. They did seem about half a size big to me compared to other athletic shoes. I wear a 7 for running and I bought a 6½ in these based on other reviews. I do tend to wear a 6½ in casual shoes and a 7 in dressier shoes. It just depends. My feet are wide across the toes and arches. They feel perfect, with a roomy toe box. I cannot attest to the waterproof claim on these as I live in the desert and we have been in a two year drought. I also love the style and neutral greyish color because I do not feel like I will stick out like a typical American tourist wearing my obnoxious sneakers in the UK. They look nice with my all-weather travel pants. Buy them. You will not regret it. Especially with Zappos' no risk buying! I just ordered two pairs of shoes of a different style from Zappos today!

I LOVE these shoes! Excellent arch support, breathable lining. They run slightly small, and I am between sizes, so I got the larger size and it was perfect.

Did not need to break these shoes in. I can hike 3 miles or more and my feet do not hurt and have had no blister problems.

Love these! I tend to order hiking boots and running shoes a half size up so did with these and they fit perfectly. They are unbelievably comfortable. The tread on the bottom is comparable to a hiking boot, but these shoes are much lighter than your average hiking boot. I will be taking these to Afghanistan for my new job and think they will do very well in any rough terrain I encounter.

Fit: Size 9 is EU 41.3. The toebox of this model is slightly wider and shorter than the Montrail Badrock Outdry (MMO). My short toes prefer the Mountain Masochist. The arch support is very high and may be uncomfortable for low-mid arched feet. The heel cup is deep. Good achilles cushion. Features: Deep tread, nice reflective stripe on front and back. Seem solidly made. Outdry: Waterproof when held under the faucet. The mesh fabric is spongy and holds water; takes overnight to dry, but the inside stayed dry.
