I ordered these as a runner for ultras, 50k and 50 miler. I have had a hard time finding shoes that fit well especially after 15 or 20 miles, when my feet start to swell. These do the job and do it well. I have 2- 20 + mile trail runs and 15 on the road with no hot spots or discomfort.
Brands I'd also recommend: patagonia

Wanted to like them, just couldn't. Felt a little cheap for the price. The cushion was nice for that middle-of-the-road trail/street runner but it lacked the necessary support to pull it off. Also, felt a little snug on the medial side by my big toe (likely due to the sloppy support). Not loving the direction Montrail has gone...

Very comfortable. I ran 8 miles in them the first day great traction on and off the road, very sticky on rocks. Nice with in toe box.
