These are by far the best running shoes I've owned in the past 5 years. I have used Asics exclusively for years and decided to try something new with the Mizuno Wave Nirvana. These shoes are extremely comfortable and have wonderful support. I used to have aching hips and shin splints after long runs outside with the Asics and now I can run outdoors without any pain the next day.

I love the look of these shoes as well as the comfort. I have small wide feet, but the other reviews said to order a half size larger, and that is the way to do it. This is a narrower shoe than regular widths.

These running shoes -- though pricey -- are amazing! In addition to being a pretty heavy (weight-wise) runner, I've got low arches and moderate to severe overpronation, and these shoes are designed just for my troubles, with this being Mizuno's maximum support shoe. If you're not sure which Mizuno shoe is right for you, I highly recommend going over to their website and taking their Precision Fit test so you don't damage yourself with inappropriate shoes. Very important -- you need to go at least one-half size up in these shoes as they run quite narrow!

These were a replacement for my Nirvana 5's. I used inserts with my Nirvana 5's and tried inserts with these but my feet kept falling asleep while I ran. Removed the inserts and just used the inserts that came with the shoe, and they have been running perfectly. They are lightweight and good for an intermediate runner. At first the material that holds the tongue in place rubbed a bit on my foot, but then I got used to the material being there and haven't had any problems again. I have tried Asics and New Balance in the past but I think I will continue to stick with Mizuno.

I have been wearing Mizuno (Wave Elixir 5) and like the support/stability they provide for my moderate over-pronation. The new pair (Wave Nirvana 7) are slightly stiffer, especially around the ankle, but get better each time I wear them. Great all around work-out and running shoe. Wish it came in more interesting colors.

Love these shoes and they've really helped with my knee issues because they are the only running shoe that I've found that actually has an excellent arch support. Always purchase 1/2 size larger than reg shoe size with this brand.

These shoes rock! Pricey, but well worth it I never knew running on the treadmill could be so enjoyable; they really enhance my performance and posture. You could actually go a 1/2 size down in these. I m a 9.5 and think I could have gone with a 9. I only took off 1 star for style. I m used to sleeker shoes and these are a bit bulky; but nonetheless, I still highly recommend the wave Nirvana 7. :)

They are the most comfortable shoes I own. The best arch support for my flat feet. They feel a little heavy for running but I'm 5'4 and very light weight. Great for training. All my girlfriends love them by the way. I never got so many compliments on a pair of snickers. :)

These trainers are great! Fun colors and great for road and treadmill workouts. These are my first Mizunos and I usually stick with Asics but will definitely be buying more of these in the future.

Just received these shoes a few days ago, and have run in them twice now. They definitely run short, as my size is usually 6 1/2 B and a 7 fits. My only slightly negative comment is that the toe box is slightly small (even on my narrow feet) and there is slight cramping in the toe area. The laces are quite short when fully laced up. Overall, it's a nice shoe with good support. I had hoped to rave about these though!

The heel fits great if you like a snug fit. Make sure you order a half to full size bigger than your usual shoe size.

I have been a fan of Mizuno for several years, however, I am quite disappointed with this shoe. I had a previous pair of Mizuno Wave Nirvana 2, which lasted me four years; they were very supportive, exactly what I need for my right foot. I had a bunionectomy several years ago, which has in turn caused several other problems on my right foot, particularly with it now being too flexible, causing a caving arch. I need major arch support. This new model, the Wave Nirvana 7, although awesome aesthetically, a great looking shoe (I tried the Palace Blue), the changes Mizuno made to the stability and support are inferior to the previous model. In comparing the insoles from the old and new, the Nirvana 7 has virtually no arch support, and it has much less cushion. Also, the Wave design in the sole does not come up has high in the arch area as the previous model. Considering that this is supposed to be Mizuno's most supportive model, I'm unsure what is going on with their design changes. So, with regret, I am returning these and trying the Asics GT-2160. Thanks to Zappos, as always!

I bought these sneakers because I had a pair of Mizunos that I loved. The loved pair were Cabrakan, the best sneaker I've ever worn. Bad on Mizuno, they are no longer available. These Mizunos, Nirvana 7, are not so good, just a sloppier fit and not so much attention to inside and outside finishing. My foot: wide with high instep.

I usually buy Wave Creation but bought these based on the reviews. I was able to wear them for running once. The ankle area seems to be cut too high and therefore digs into my ankle. Having suffered from tendonitis in my ankle in the past, I won't be wearing these again.

I was disappointed in these sneakers. I have had 3 pair before these that were great after a short break-in period. However, this latest pair were much less cushioned, tighter and not as supportive. I will look around for a new brand.
