Ok, I wrote a review that was pretty vague, so here goes something more helpful. I have had these shoes for in a month. Right now I'm on the treadmill due to the weather outside. These shoes fit very very well. The tongue has a much more firm fit, almost lower than before, but it's much better. The laces are a much better length.On my Inspire 8 the laces even after doubled were too long and could easily be stepped on these lace up nice and tight. Overall I really like this shoe. The support feels better and it just feels perfect. I really think they nailed it on this model. This is my third version of the inspire.
Brands I'd also recommend: None, Mizuno has always worked for me.

I have worn the Inspire 5, 6,7 and 8. I love the 8. Loved the 5. Didn't love the 6 (less pronation support than the 5). Liked the 7 OK but not as much as the 5. I like the 8 better than all of them. Seems to have as much support as the 5 plus it seems to be a little more comfortable. I don't know if the 8 actually weighs less, but it feels lighter than the previous versions. I have tried other brands and other Mizunos, but I just don't like them as much as the Inspire. These shoes are perfect for my size (about 190 pounds).

I have the previous wave inspire versions and love them and am anxious to try out the one that people are rating the best of all, but I am posting my review now because I just got off the phone with Zappos customer service and this has been said before -- but it needs to be said again: "Zappos makes it so easy to shop online." Here are the details: In October I ordered the Mizuno Wave Nirvana (a bit more support and heavier than the Inspire). I changed my mind and decided to go back to the lighter wave inspires... four months later I called Zappos and ask to do an exchange. In about a minute and a half, I give the customer service representative the old order number, tell them I want to do an exchange. The order was shipped out immediately. I will receive within 48 hours, along with a check for the difference in price and I am told I just need to send back the pair I do not want within 14 days. Maybe nothing miraculous about this customer experience but everything went so easily, so quickly and no questions asked that I get off the phone and say, "That was so easy!" I guess it is a commentary that today with long automated message systems, time on hold, and customer service that sometimes is like running through a gauntlet, a simple, courteous and extremely easy exchange process is something that is worth celebrating. This is my first post for any company and probably my last unless someone or some company surpasses the convenience and professionalism of Zappos -- but that is not likely to happen. Thanks, Zappos, I am indeed a customer for life, because you have obviously built your company on care and concern for your customers. Now, I am hoping the Wave Inspire 8s help me break 4 hours in LA Marathon. If only Zappos could help me with that!

I like the edgier styling of Mizuno, but because my foot is wider my choices are very limited. This style popped with color and that is what I was looking for. The shoe fit terrific, felt correct in size, but also in width. I would buy this style again. Two thumbs up.

The comfort is great. I do a lot of half-marathons and there is a lot of cushion while still feeling light so I still feel fast with them. The fastest, most comfortable running shoe I've had so far.

Great shoes! My husband is very athletic and tough on his feet and needs shoes that give him support and cushioning. He says these are the most comfortable tennis shoe that he has ever had. Plus, going through Zappos they were less expensive than at Fleet Feet. Two thumbs up from me because he is happy!

Normally I wear a 16 in any other sneaker. This shoe is true to size. Great fit, super light weight, great looks. Wearing them for about 6 months and still going strong.
