Bought for the red color, only; stiff calf leather (I think) upper; traditional multi-layer foam lower sole. For running I prefer Saucony.

Purchased these for the color, red, only; usual shoe is Saucony, and I wear a 9.5 with Saucony; can accommodate full foot orthotics with with those in Saucony; not so with Mizuno. That said I got it for the color of these Mizunos. Zappos made it easy: sent me 9.0 & 9.5 so I could bracket my size. Still not a comfortable fit; since not for running...went with the 9.5. No way could I use orthotics with Mizunos.
